I'm listening to it now. Aside from that bombshell, its all about No More Heroes as they have a near finished U.S version which they are talking non-stop about and all the reader questions are to do with it too.

Wonder what the game could be? They joke around with Punch out, Hogans Alley and the like. Apparently if you're a Nintendo fan and have been for the past generation or two then you're gonna be excited about this returning franchise. Pikmin lol.

Pilotwings? Pikmin? Rare jumping ship and making Banjo Threeie for the Wii?!!

Banjo Kazoowii (geddit?!) would be the ultimate coup for Nintendo. You are probably onto something with Pilotwings, we had that Wii Airplane game that has dropped off the radar- could be reworked into a new Pilotwings...! What about Starfox?

They are talking slightly about the Gamespot debacle. Apparently they never get asked to bump up a review score or anything, and are never influenced by whatever the site advertising may be at the time. But they would say that anyway.

Well its clearly game that has been on the last two machines or by a developer which has produced work by the last two machines.

For me Factor 5 (made rigue squadron games on the 64 and cube) making Pilotings (very similar in some respects to Rogue Squadron).

Also, wasn't there a rumour before Factor 5 started making Rare that they were working on Pilotwings!?!?

Also, the game couldn't have been on the cube as it wouldnt be a revivial, just this generations version - Pilotwings ticks every box!!!

From what I've heard apparently Capcom are bring Megaman exclusively to the Wii, not a clue how it'll play and if it's even true but that could be what they're talking about.

Kid Icarus was only on NES and Gameboy which doesn't really go wit their past few generations thing, and they talked Star Fox last week and didn't seem all that hyped for it. Pilotwings doesn't feel like the megaton they make it out to be either. Also Pikmin 3 doesn't really feel like the dramatic and amazing return they make it out to be, we're all expecting a sequel to that anyway right?

But er, what does that leave? A Sin and Punishment sequel would be pretty big albeit it's not really something for all Nintendo fans. It sort of works well with the "People involved" though if Treasure develope it. Golden Sun 3 wouldn't be worth writing off either.

Another possibility I guess is Earth Bound, I've never played the series though so I've not got a clue what that'd involve, but that too goes hand in hand with the description.

Gonna throw the possibility of a Chrono Trigger sequel being made with the original team who made it on SNES, just for the sake of it :P.

But whats kid icarus got to do with the last two generations? (notsaying I dont want it or think it will happen)

Also, ita aint megaman for the reasons above though this I can see happening easily.

The only game that fits is Pilotwings!! And I think it is a bit of a megaton for NINTENDO fans. Waaaaay more than Sin and Punishment (where did this sugestion come from :) )

News

-Bozon got to play Hanah Montana

-Matt played Harvey Birdman, basically Phoenix Wright for Wii. No Steven Colbert. Really funny but really simple. Not a lot of animation.

-Bozon talked to Phoenix Wright creator, she didn't work on Harvey Birdman.

-Wii sales, sold out..bunch of mumbo jumbo. 650k sold in 2 weeks.

-Ps3 trolling (saying there are no games) Why is it selling?

-They like Uncharted.

-More sales talk...jee..They can't get over the fact that Wii is selling so awesomely.

-Major Classic Franchies returning to Wii. Will blow your freaking mind.

-Wrecking Crew

-NOT Punchout

-A game about a Ninja is going to come out soon. Minigames..

No More Heroes

-US version (few bugs). They got it early though.

-Travis is a total badass

-Good Character design but some people might find it weird

-Really Open World

-Game doesn't have technical prowess to pull of open world, clumsy, framerate.

-Fighting is great! Really fun

-Game is colourful, bright. They like it.

-Classic sound effects from other past games.

-Retro style for HUD

-Main goal for Travis is get money to buy a videogame.

-Weakest open world on Wii. Overworld is kind of bad.

-Odd jobs, coconuts etc. We've heard about this stuff. Oh and also mini assasinations. Killing someone from a pizza parlor.

-Combat is really well developed. Wiimote use is good. Wrestling stuff is motion based. You never get the feeling of unregistered motions.

-Frame rate- Under 30, in overworld..will dip. Freezes. But feels stylistic lol. Passable though.

-Reader comments on pop-up. Matt replies that Grasshopper works on art, not on graphics. Stop expecting Nintendo type of graphics. Animation is great though. Pop Up only takes place in Open World. When your playing it you won't care at all.

-Releasing NMH next to Smash is stupid. They hope its delayed a little or released earlier.

-A LOT of blood, violence and swearing. Stylistic blood, really nice. Comes off as gamey not "we want to be violent like Manhunt 2"

-Storyline is not as big as Killer7 but is still really good. Cutscenes are great.

-Funky Red Steel feel, they feel it may be a pay back for the crap that Red Steel was.

-Starts off really quickly, you get straight in the game.

-They love the voice acting. Travis may be a bit over the top sometimes but they love it. Assasins voice overs are reallllyyy good.

-Need to embrace the style if you want to enjoy it.

-Tutorial is ridiculous..its basically a blood bath. Really satisfying.

-The Draw distance will not blow you away. Clunky in the overworld but the inside environments are great.

-Easy to forgive the deficiences because theres so much other stuff to love.

-Enemies becomes more difficult=more combo

-Instant based combat using motion.

-Will appeal to hardcore but not to casuals apparently. They can get my word coach.

-Chance to be a success, depends on OObisoft.

-Something that will blow your mind is entering the first door and killing a guy while also slicing down a door. Another, going into a baseball field and theres 20 guys in a vertical line, guys throw a ball and you can knock it back to them and rip through 30 people at most.

-BUY THIS GAME, vote with your dollar, support hardcore Wii games.

-This is a big realized game. This is what you want on the system.

Pokemon Snap

-Bozon and the other guys favourite N64 game.

-Talking about Stickers at Blockbuster.

General

-If you're renting games like Zack and Wiki, you're an ass.

I'm sorry but how long has an old franchise been rumoured of a revival to the Wii and people always get so hyped about it, is it really any surprise? Then they come and say and the net is once again. I've got nothing against Matt to be honest, I still doubt Halo DS and he does make it out like he knows all these developers when he is at the end of the day just another journalist. But Bozon I do have such a problem with, he is such a moron and just licks Matt's arse all the time.

Have you not heard the rumours that it is just a modded version of Goldeneye? Matt by his admission knows programmers etc... as he revealed ages ago the team were working a VC game, now likely to be a Wiiware game, so they could have done this without any problems?!

I do and I posted at the same time that I still skeptical, those videos prove nothing.

Basically: It existed, but was 0% official and had nothing to do with Microsoft.

I'd also wager Bungie knew nothing about it.

this rumour is pretty exciting.. i hope something comes of it because i really think something NEW is what they need. if you think about it all of nintendos franchises on wii are sequels(of course with new wii controls but that doesnt make them new games) zelda TP is the 4th 3D zelda metroid prime 3 is 3rd prime game, mario galaxys the 3rd 3D mario, smash bros brawl is the 3rd smash bros game, im not sure what number mario kart wii is but its gotta be pretty high, pikmin is heavily rumoured that would be the 3rd game and animal crossings got to be 3 or 4 to? i think wii sports has prolly been the most exciting 'new' game so far..

nintendo need to freshen up seriously!

Hmmmm not really. What will be the biggest selling games this year? Need for Speed, Call of Duty and FIFA. Call of Duty is the youngest of the 3 and that's on it's 4th game already! Nintendo aren't really doing anything different to other companies.

Look at Castlevania, MGS and Pro Evo from Konami. Devil May Cry, Street Fighter and Megaman from Capcom. Sonic, HotD and Monkey Ball from SEGA. This isn't a Nintendo problem. Maybe an industry one, if it's even a problem.

Nintendo make lots of new franchises anyway, easily as many as any other company out there.

New franchises are good, but I'm pretty sure we'd have more people complaning if Nintendo weren't making the next Smash Bros, or next Mario, or next Zelda etc. It's all about balance I guess.
