Retro_Link Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 http://www.gametrailers.com/player.php?id=20168&type=wmv&pl=game A New Star Wars Arcade (or even an updated port!), would work SO well on Wii! Every bit of it looks so suited when you see it in that video! Also the fact that Factor 5 made the such an impressive GC game in 9 months, puts Wii developers to shame!
Hero-of-Time Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 I watched this earlier today, was great to see the Super Star Wars series again. Ah, happy times.... *drifts off*
Happenstance Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 I downloaded it earlier but havent got around to watching it yet, dont know what I would have put as number 1 myself. I expect a lot of people would go with KOTOR but id possibly go with Rogue Squadron or Lego Star Wars II
Bluejay Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 I like the SNES Star Wars games. That XBOX Squad based game was prettty good, the name alludes me though. Anyone? It was ignored I think but it was a solid game.
Hero-of-Time Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 I believe it was Republic Commando, it was set in the Clone Wars and yes it was awesome. Edit: Bah, beaten to it
Happenstance Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 I was suprised to see what topped that list, ive got it somewhere but I didnt think it was the best Star Wars game out there.
Mr. Bananagrabber Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Knights of the Old Republic > Tie Fighter > X-Wing > Knights of the Old Republic 2 > Battlefront 2 > The rest as far as I'm concerned.
Saminthehat Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Am I the only one who thought Galactic Battlegrounds is the best?
The Bard Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Can someone riff off a list? This shitty comp doesn't have sound
Happenstance Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 10. Star Wars Trilogy Arcade 9. The Empire Strikes Back (Atari) 8. Lego Star Wars II 7. Super Star Wars 6. Empire At War 5. Battlefront II 4. Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron 2 3. KOTOR 2. Tie Fighter 1. Jedi Knight 2 - Jedi Outcast
Hero-of-Time Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 I was suprised to see what topped that list, ive got it somewhere but I didnt think it was the best Star Wars game out there. Yeah I couldnt get into Jedi Outcast either, thought Jedi Academy was better.
Happenstance Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Exactly what I thought, I quite enjoyed playing through Jedi Academy. EDIT: Id quite like to see a new more open ended space Star Wars game, similar to Freelancer actually.
LazyBoy Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 There was a game on the N64 called Shadows of the Empire (I think) which was an absloute piece of crap, but I loved it. There were some great boss battles.
Saminthehat Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 There was a game on the N64 called Shadows of the Empire (I think) which was an absloute piece of crap, but I loved it. There were some great boss battles. Hell yeah! Hoth was amazing, at the time.
Calza Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Battlefront 2? Why is that on the list? Because it was a good Star Wars game.
Cube Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Because it was a good Star Wars game. The PS2 version I played was crap. No fun at all. And flying was horrid.
LazyBoy Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 The Xbox version is great, especially in multi-player.
Charlie Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Why isn't X-Wing on the list? I thought it was much better than Tie Fighter.
McMad Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Jedi Knight 2?! That game must have been good on the PC because the Gamecube version I played sucked balls.
McPhee Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast > Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight > Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy > Dark Forces In my opinion. Outcast was really good if you put the time in. The first few levels were a bit dull but it picks up further in and is definitely the best of the Dark Forces series. I bought Jedi Academy a few weeks ago and tbh i think it pales in comparison to Outcast and Jedi Knight. Dark Forces finishes bottom because i only played it through a few months back and it really hasn't aged well I really want to see a 5th Dark Forces game now
Dan_Dare Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 JK2 was frankly a bit wank. It was a really confusing, badly designed game that, aside from baddass jedi-ness, was awfully put together.
