stuwii Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Muse next album will apparently be orchestrated, abandoning rock, very worrying indeed
Coolness Bears Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 (edited) I'm unsure of the legality, but Bat For Lashes' new album Two Suns can be found on the internet, should the desire take you. I suspect it should- two listens in and it's amazing. THOU HATH TEMPTED ME! (sort of I may wait to buy it!) Only listened to Daniel and it is utterly beautiful. I've been listening to all sorts of "Noise" on Last.fm through Merzbow's radio today. I'mma check out more, it is the genre I've been searching for. Edited March 23, 2009 by Coolness Bears
Paj! Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 I feel that the fact I'm listening to the album now is justified; I'll enjoy her concert much more If I know the new album well. A.K.A I found the album too... It's excellent so far. Perhaps not as good as Fur & Gold, only on first listen though.
Dan_Dare Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 I'm not overstating - I love Daniel. So much. it's nowhere near as good as Hounds of Love. It is sublime though, and I may well have listened to it about 15 times today.
chairdriver Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 I've just successfully converted someone! I gave Calum from work a mixtape CD, and he says he thinks its awesome. He said he listened to All Is Full Of Love by Bjork three times in a row because he liked it so much. My mission has been accomplished.

weeyellowbloke Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 I have a sudden yearning to listen to my old cassette "Reggae Hits '91" after hearing Apache Indian today. I swear it is the best compilation I have ever heard.

I want to make, and give a mix CD. I make mixes all the time. But I want a REASON! D666 or whoever got my one from the last official one here never gave me any feedback, so yeah.
chairdriver Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Bear in mind his favourite bands are Queen Of The Stone Age and Audioslave, and loads of underground bands I've never heard of.
Paj! Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 I'm listening to Blue October, on recommendation/by way of the girl that lives with me. I kinda liked Overweight (the only song I knew before now), but so far it's so politely middle-of-the-road.
Dyson Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Muse next album will apparently be orchestrated, abandoning rock, very worrying indeed Incorrect. It may feature orchestrated elements (pretty sure I read about that. Not to mention songs in the past by Muse have used a partial or full orchestra) but don't think for a second that they're abandoning the rock genre. What's the worry?
Daft Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 (edited) Little Boots - New In Town (Fred Falke Remix) Really loving this remix. Haven't managed to hear the original yet. Also just saw this video. It's quite cool. Tellier has an awesome new video for 'Kilometer' but it isn't on YouTube. Edit: Just listened to the original, I prefer the remix. Definitely. Edited March 24, 2009 by Daft
Paj! Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 New In Town is the Little Boots song I keep coming back to. That remix is really good, I shan't lie.
Dan_Dare Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 I actually love Little Boots hot brunette in pants and synth. What more could a man possibly want?
Paj! Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 I actually love Little Boots hot brunette in pants and synth. What more could a man possibly want? She's gone blonde and a bit more glamourpuss since gaining hype, IIRC.
Dan_Dare Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 this is true. She looks great either way (and is also really talented and amazing and yes mmmm...)
Slaggis Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 *claim to fame* - A mate at school, worked with her once on some job, a couple of years ago. ...Sadly, he won't stop going on about it. I love "Mathematics".
Cube Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Album artwork is very different to all their previous ones. 1. Wraithlike Audio 2. The Penultimate Clinch 3. The Kids Are Sick Again 4. A Cloud Of Mystery 5. Calm 6. In Another World (You Would’ve Found Yourself By Now) 7. Let’s Get Clinical 8. Roller Disco Dreams 9. Tanned 10. Questing, Not Coasting 11. Overland, West Of Suez 12. I Haven’t Seen Her In Ages Out on the 11th May.
Platty Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 So I got my Latitude ticket. Nick Cave and the bad seeds, pet shop boys, grace jones, editors, doves, bat for lashes, gossip and some others announced so far. I also hear rumours of shed 7. Be like old times
Ashley Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Please stop posting utter shit, Haggis. Same goes for the User Image Gallery :p Listened to Future Sex / Love Sounds again today for the first time in ages. Forgot how cocky and upbeat it can be. Enjoyable.
Coolness Bears Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 I've just finished my first experience into Acid Mothers Temple and Melting Parasio U.F.O. one song 28 minutes long thus far! I've been listening to Merzbow ALL day at school with weird looks as people where wandering what the hell kind of noise was coming full blast from my iPod... ...one person even asked if I was ok! Fandagos in Space is intense! My next venture is Godspeed You! Black Emperor!
GothicPlague Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Incorrect. It may feature orchestrated elements (pretty sure I read about that. Not to mention songs in the past by Muse have used a partial or full orchestra) but don't think for a second that they're abandoning the rock genre. What's the worry? Exactly what I was thinking. Also whilst we're on the subject of Muse: We are pleased to confirm that Muse will be touring in the UK, Europe and North America this autumn. Full details on the UK and European dates will be announced soon, but for now we can confirm that the the band will be special guests to U2 at a number of their North American shows this September including New York on September 24th. The remaining U2 dates will be announced in the coming weeks. From Muse.mu *Prays for a good UK date*
chairdriver Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 I love when bands take an unexpected turn in genre. I'm still clapping to this very day at White Chalk by PJ Harvey.
