chairdriver Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Coolness, I have confidence that you will love Le Fil by Camille. Go listen to it now! (And bear in mind the B note which is consistently played throughout the album is supposed to be there (loads of people think their file/CD has got something wrong with it)) It's literally a stunning album. Looks and feels stunning.
Paj! Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Reach Out (Anyone complaining that The Saturdays video was "too slutty" will implode whilst watching this) I hate myself for becoming addicted to this. What a bitch. Some of the worst lyrics I've ever heard. "It's like the prey playing games with the hunter". Burn in hell Duff. Hearing Lizzy McGuire telling someone to touch her is mildy horrific. She sampled Tainted Love about 3 years after Rihanna did it better.
Coolness Bears Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Reach Out I hate myself for becoming addicted to this. What a bitch. Some of the worst lyrics I've ever heard. "It's like the prey playing games with the hunter". Burn in hell Duff. Hearing Lizzy McGuire telling someone to touch her is mildy horrific. You are lying you are clearly aroused by this prospect! :p I unashamedly love this song. It is terrible in everyway but my ears sometimes regularly gets addicted to these tunes. I heard this months ago...though saw the video for the first time on TV about a week ago so it must just have been released here? Anyway yeah I like Duffs older stuff! Coolness, I have confidence that you will love Le Fil by Camille. Go listen to it now! (And bear in mind the B note which is consistently played throughout the album is supposed to be there (loads of people think their file/CD has got something wrong with it)) It's literally a stunning album. Looks and feels stunning. Oooh ooh. I love you! I totally listened to the song you posted yonks and yonks ago Money Note? and did not follow up on that! I'm almost certain I will love the rest! Though this is the earlier album? It's on Spotify and I will make that tomorrows endeavour!
Paj! Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Le Fil is the album previous to Music Hole, the one with Money Note. Only one song on Le Fil is in English, but it's better overall. There's a single note, "the thread" ("Le Fil") that runs through the entire album. It last 40 minutes after that last song finishes! Very good album.
Coolness Bears Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Eeep! Sounds good! I am really excited to listen to it! I'll stick Music Hole on my list as well.
Oxigen_Waste Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 and the aforementioned EP, tho I've never once listened to it It's not as bad as one might think. It tries a bit too much to sound like RATM, but, it's one of their highest points:
Roostophe Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Just listened to it, and you're right. That didn't sound too bad in my ears. It did also sound too much like RATM, although the music did seem to bring out a familiar Limp sound for a split second at times. The lyrics are a lot like something Zack De La Rocha would sing, but you'd be an idiot if you were to confuse the two.
S.C.G Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Meh just listened to that Limp track... it may be one of their high points but that doesn't say much tbh :/ looking back it's hard to see what people saw in them, in fact at the time way back in school when everyone was buying that damn album I didn't see what was so 'special' about it lolz Oh and who could forget this 'classic'... 1.30 for - 'A fucking chainsaw... I'll skin your ass raw!'
Roostophe Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 The song that got me into Limp was the one used for Mission:Impossible 2, which was called "Take A Look Around". It sounded really good back in 2000 and it was getting "Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavoured Water" that practically turned me into a rock fan. Take A Look Around: While we're on the subject of "CSatHDFW". Two personal favourites of mine: Hot Dog Audio Hold On (feat. Scott Weiland) Audio
Dan_Dare Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 can we stop talking about the wost band ever please? ahh...much better.
Dan_Dare Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 haha. That's actually a pretty good point. LB are utter shite though. They always were and always will be. They have no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Neil Young on the other hand. Hey, look at that. One of the greatest song writers of all time. Much more like it.
GothicPlague Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 ^ Who was talking about Nickelback? Fuck I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw that post.
Eddage Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 I'm currently loving Gotta Knock A Little Harder by Mai Yamane... Taken from the Cowboy Bebop movie, which is also awesome!
