DCK Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Some of my mate WoW nerds use words like 'plx', 'nubs' and 'lol' in real life. Come on people. YOU'RE FRICKING DUTCH.
Chuck Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Me and Caris do it, but taking the miccy, imagine geordie charvs, and you got a pretty good idea how annoying it is
Eenuh Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 I heard someone say 'OMG' today (separate letters), which is strange enough since we don't speak English. Still it was sorta as a joke. No text speak crap for us, as far as I know.

I've not noticed anyone using this kind of stuff in real life. It would just sound a bit daft. Although I do call people noobs and say pwn in a piss taking ironic way sometimes when gaming with friends. Generally I just try and keep clear of the whole shebang.

Whizkid Posted February 26, 2007 Author Posted February 26, 2007 Parkside community college in Cambridge
Letty Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 someone always seems to stand up in the middle of a class, yell OWNED, then sit down again
The Peeps Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 The only thing I say is lol but not in real life, only on teamspeak with my online gaming nerds... I mean friends  . I hate that I say it though, I started just as a joke to make fun of the other people that were saying but then it became habit.
Tellyn Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 My friend says 'owned' and 'noob', but jokingly.
LukeLee Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Yeah, and it actually means 'fun'. Thing is I can't stand it because I know they don't mean it that way By the way your language knowledge scares me. doesnt it also mean something else? or is that 'lul' im thinking of?
