stuwii Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 great game but did you think he was dead? and 4 how long? may i note the commentators forgot to mention he was breathing after a few minutes
Stocka Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 For a split second perhaps, but I never really sat there and thought out loud 'holy shit i think he's dead!'
Fields Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 No I did not think John terry was dead. In before the lock etc.
Guest Stefkov Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 After seeing it a second time in slow mo, I thought the possibility of (defenders name) hitting him in the nose and knocking it up into his brain was pretty slim. I just thought damn its gonna be another bad injury like Cech. thats what happened to him.
Fresh Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 I'm going to tour you-tube in some hope to find a video.
Daft Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 I didn't think he was dead but when I was them trying to move his unconcious body I felt a bit sick! I reckon it is only a concusion and he will be back next week. He swallowed his tongue but luckly they managed to clear hs airways quickly!
Ramar Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 No at all. I did however think he may end up swallowing his tongue. Everyone involved has Gary Lewin (the Arsenal physio) to thank for being on the scene very quickly to make sure John was ok.
Zell Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 He's fine! It's nowhere near as bad as what happenned to Cech.
Kurtle Squad Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 I don't watch it because the teams can be whatever they want more-or-less, which is stupid and pointless. "Hmm Arsenal, your old team, your going against them next week"....It's like Italy in WWII:indeed: From what I heard, the game got amazingly out of hand aswell, which is really sad...It's like me punching my friend while he's beating me on CTR/Smash Bros. or something.
Platty Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 No I didnt think he was dead, Just out cold. If anyone catches the front of the Sun newspaper today they have a picutre of him just well out of it on the pitch then a few hours later celebrating with the cup. That man is HARD.
Kav Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 As John Terry is infact a robot, I knew he wasn't dead... he was simply going through a system reboot after the shock disrupted a couple circuits! They took him to a repair garage where they installed a new piston that operates his jaw and he was back within an hour at the ground... chewing nuts and bolts as usual! I love John Terry, the guy's a warrior!
Bren Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 hitting him in the nose and knocking it up into his brain was pretty slim. thats what happened to him. i think thats a myth isnt it about your nose going back into your brain.
flameboy Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Not for a second, JT is ROCK SOLID, he is hard as nails my son.
Atomic Boo Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 I didn't think he was dead but when I was them trying to move his unconcious body I felt a bit sick! I reckon it is only a concusion and he will be back next week. He swallowed his tongue but luckly they managed to clear hs airways quickly! heard from a nurse once, apparently its actually impossible to swallow you tongue, but it is possible to block your throat
Daft Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 heard from a nurse once, apparently its actually impossible to swallow you tongue, but it is possible to block your throat Thats what I meant but its just easier to say he swallowed his tongue! :p
Fields Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Steven Gerrard is Harder... Should be England captain
Guest Stefkov Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 i think thats a myth isnt it about your nose going back into your brain. You know I actually forgot about it until he got kicked however, it does kinda seem like a silly idea. But if you think about it, when you see skulls, you see a big hole where the nose is, so possibly, the cartlidge could breag through whatever and could go into the brain. I wanna ask someone and know for sure now.
Charlie Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 i think thats a myth isnt it about your nose going back into your brain. It's not, commandos in the WW2 were trained to do it as a way to kill someone silently. Edit - Or maybe not... I'm sure I saw it on TV a while ago.. http://www.fightingarts.com/reading/article.php?id=511
Guest Stefkov Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 http://www.fightingarts.com/reading/article.php?id=511 Ah well. It does seem like a cool way of killing someone though.
Fierce_LiNk Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 I really think John Terry is the next Terminator.
scubahood Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Was there a fight during this game as well?
