Fierce_LiNk Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 Thread Suggested By Substeinar There's been some reports that the Wii has been doing some damage to TV's, and also talk of "Wii Elbow". here's one example: Post here if you find any others.
triforce_keeper Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 ooooo looks bad. Wipe ya sweat off bitches! And there is a actual reason for the strap believe it or not. Stupid people.
dabookerman Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 ooooo looks bad. Wipe ya sweat off bitches! And there is a actual reason for the strap believe it or not. Stupid people. Its been proven that the strap is useless though.
Din Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 Just don't let go of the controller. Simple really.
Ramar Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 Just don't let go of the controller. Simple really. Or when you do flick the wrist so it doesn't go towards the television.
Kurtle Squad Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 Its been proven that the strap is useless though. Not entirely, as a lot of the energy will be 'used' to break the strap:heh:
Guest Stefkov Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 When I played it, only playing COD3, my hand started to sweat a lot. More than my hands sweat when i play my 360. however i dies down for some reason when I play the 360. Seriously though, i think i could have broken something if i was playing tennis. I want to see a totally smashed TV. I mean the whole glass part smashes off.
AshMat Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 I want to see a picture of a Wiimote half way into a tv screen.
mcj metroid Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 why is all the accidents when they are playing tennis.iv only seen one bowling one.tut nongamers
Mikey Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 Can't help but feel as if people are doing some of this stuff on purpose.
mcj metroid Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 they look like fairly good tvs to be doing it on purpose
Nintenchris Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 Ouch that TV looks expencive... why cant people just hold onto the Wii-mote's? surely its not that hard to hold!
Cube Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 Ouch that TV looks expencive... why cant people just hold onto the Wii-mote's? surely its not that hard to hold! It isn't hard at all. Frankly, I can't tell how anyone holding the thing properly will have it flying out of their hands.
Librarian Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 ha ha good one.. boy that sure is one ugly speaker... and that black stuff in the first picture behind the crack... is that the dark stuff from Metroid Echoes??? AAAAAAAAHHHRRRGGHHHH better hold on to that remote
Nards Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 [in reference to the picture in 1st post] ROFL if it was really a wii controller that smashed that T.V. then the person obviously did it on purpose. The power needed to make a dent like that + the chance of it going straight and hitting the T.V. is looow. Its tennis ffs how do u thro the controller straight? haha! [in reference to that remote in side of t.v.] Unless the T.V. is made of plastic, thats simple Impossible. [my controller going flying story] I just recently accidentally sent my remote flying across the room ^^ I have hyperhidrosis(excessive sweating) so the remote slipped out of my hands(yes, I was wearing the string) and flew into my closet door. I was playing Wii Baseball and swung real hard to see if the accelerometer would really detect me swinging like 90mphrs lmao xD It's obviously no ones fault but mine. I was fully aware it had the chance of happening =) When I got my console on launch day I was sure it wouldnt be faulty because its built Nintendo quality ^^ But when I fixed the string and put the batteries back into the remote I must admit I was bloody suprised that it still worked! Like, damn, it went friggen FLYING lmao =)
solitanze Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 I won't be using the provided strap at all. Never used straps for gaming devices. I'll just make sure I actually hold onto the controller.
flameboy Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 I won't be using the provided strap at all. Never used straps for gaming devices. I'll just make sure I actually hold onto the controller. my feeling to, how hard can it be to hold onto it?!
Shorty Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 [in reference to that remote in side of t.v.]Unless the T.V. is made of plastic, thats simple Impossible. Most TVs are made of plastic aren't they (I'm not into the world of modern TVs ) I would assume the TV already had a crack in it and they just pushed the remote in and took a picture. Or it's 'shopped. But the fact that they used the side and not the screen suggests the former
Mundi Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 I damaged my friend´s pride when i kicked his ass in Wii play
Emasher Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 i damaged lots of trucks in excite truck! (no seriously i have a trophy for super truck smashes)
Kurtle Squad Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 why is all the accidents when they are playing tennis.iv only seen one bowling one.tut nongamers Because of the movements you make while playing the game; fast swipes.
BAZil Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 my feeling to, how hard can it be to hold onto it?! Just wait until you play Wii Sports, especially doing a multiplayer with all your mates. You'll find you get really into it and very competitive and trust me its very easy for the remote to slide out your hands, you'll see
