  1. How worthwhile would that really be though? Would it be worth the substantial resources that adding online would require? Nintendo's resources are finite. Adding online would mean that something else from the game would need to be taken away, be it a couple of game modes or a board or roughly 10 minigames or so. Would you rather see them make the best local multiplayer game possible, or a watered down game with an online mode outside of the main multiplayer game that almost nobody would play? I say that it's not worth it, especially if it wouldn't even be usable online in the main board game mode. @Ville It's not about how long it takes to complete a board (In fact, they've actually gone to great lengths to speed up the game as a whole with each game, since Mario Party 4), it's just a matter of the very nature of the game not being compatible with online play, due to the extreme randomness and influence of luck involved in the game. The whole series has always been about the laughs you have as you and your friends get screwed over by the game - be it some bullshit Bowser space you land on, or some crazy Chance Time event. You take that online and watch as everybody ragequits the moment something unlucky happens to them. And if you take that aspect of the series away, just to make it compatible with online play; well, it's not really Mario Party anymore is it?
  2. One does wonder what that Nintendo Network logo is there for... What online features does this mystery of a game hold...
  3. Of course it doesn't have online. It's a game that simply doesn't work in an online setting (it's the ultimate RAGEQUIT game!) Fake Edit: Oh, I already mentioned this before. Guess I was right again
  4. Putting out SM3DW before DKCTF is a good move. Putting it out on the same day as Zelda ALBW and MPIT in the US is not... Lineup is still too thin for Wii U. It isn't enough to have that same impact as the 3DS revival combo...
  5. GAME have just put it up on their site for £109.99 http://www.game.co.uk/en/nintendo-2ds-black-and-blue-243441 Sweet jesus that's cheap...
  6. It might be the most that they can afford, but I'd have to agree with Kav. It's still not enough of a drop to have any real impact (just like their Xmas lineup. Good, but not good enough...)
  7. NOE don't set prices directly. Their open pricing model lets retailers set it at whatever they want, but GAME currently have the Zelda Wii U bundle on their site for £249.99. Still waaaaayyy too expensive, but other retailers will probably be cheaper. GAME are always the most expensive...
  8. Amazingly enough, it is still due for release in Europe supposedly! http://cdn02.nintendo-europe.com/media/downloads/news_7/2013_3/august_6/Wii_U_3DS_Q4_2013_UK.pdf It's just been slated for December on both Wii U and 3DS. Hih-LEH-RIE-US!
  9. Just realised that the design very strongly resembles the Gamepad from face on (note the shoulder buttons in particular...) Wonder if they're trying to get 3DS owners used to the Gamepad's ergonomic layout? Edit Also just noticed that the 2DS only has one speaker! Mono sound!? REALLY!?
  10. Console is still too expensive. Should've aimed for $249.99-$269.99 with Zelda. DKCTF being $50 is just weird though. Why is that $50, while SM3DW is $60?
  11. That figure is nice, REALLY nice! The console bundle is still too expensive though...
  12. This is blatantly aimed squarely at kids who would be buying the system for Pokemon X&Y, it's launching on the same day. It's a terrible idea that stinks of desperation. They REALLY want to remove any possible barriers to entry for Pokemon players, but in doing so, they're gonna end up damaging the system in the long run (watch as 3rd parties stop supporting S3D in their games now that they have this thing as an excuse) Fuck you Nintendo, fuck you very much!
  13. Clearly there's no chance of brand confusion this time right? RIGHT!?
  14. Woohoo! Got a gold in 004-A! Finally starting to get better at this
  15. Come to think of it, it hasn't done great on any platform really...
  16. You guys do realise that this doesn't mean that Intelligent Systems isn't working on something else like Advance Wars 3DS right? IS is Nintendo's second largest dev team (behind only EAD) and typically has around 3-4 projects of various sizes going on at any one time. Even accounting for this and FExSMT, they could easily have another 1 or 2 projects in the works at this point in time. (Fire Emblem Awakening came out in Japan around 1.5 years ago, Fallblox came out almost a year ago and Game & Wario has been done since around February, so those teams are probably well into their next projects - plus they're only co-developing FExSMT, so they've probably got quite a lot of staff unaccounted for right now...)
  17. TW101 does have an Off-TV function, but the game requires two screens at certain points - so it features a picture-in-picture mode for those parts that need both screens... It works... Sorta... It's REALLY tiny though! I wouldn't recommend playing it that way really as it's VERY difficult to see what's going on (hell it's hard enough even when using the TV!) It's definitely a two screen game.
  18. Come on Shibata. Give Band Bros another chance over here, please!
  19. Yeah, that's what I normally do with Kamiya's/Platinum's games, but I usually do decently enough on my first playthrough. With TW101 though, I'm just getting my arse kicked two ways to Sunday I must be doing something wrong in my general playstyle. I know that I don't dodge enough in general (relying on Unite Guts and Hand/Sword when needed), so maybe I should get into the habit of dodging more? It's those damn projectile attacks that always get me!
  20. Soooo I'm up to operation 003 (just really started playing it yesterday)... And I still suck something fierce! I'm playing on Normal and the best I've ever gotten for a whole chapter is Silver (with a whole bucketload of Consolation Prizes ) I swear, I never had this much trouble with any of the VJ or DMC games, Okami or Bayonetta - it's just so hard to keep track of what the hell is going on! I am really enjoying it, but I don't think it's as well refined as Bayonetta so far. There are plenty of times where the camera doesn't really point you in the right direction and enemy attacks seem to come as if from nowhere off screen and sometimes you just don't really know where the hell you are (the somewhat spotty framerate doesn't help either). That being said, the game is completely nutso insane, constantly throwing new enemies/moves/gameplay ideas at you at a ferocious pace! Love it! I've already gotten much better than when I started off (I was just a total disaster at the start, I died during the prologue ) so hopefully it's just a matter of me just getting used to the game setup more as I go along I must be weird, I find myself using a combo of both touchscreen and right stick. I use the r stick for Unite Sword, Unite Gun and the Unite Chain/Bridge/Wondertoilet, while I find it easier to use the touch screen for Unite Hand, Unite Whip and for capturing civilians.
  21. TW101 got to 14th on the Individual format charts... http://www.chart-track.co.uk/index.jsp?c=p/software/uk/latest/index_test.jsp&ct=110032 Not a great showing, but better than I expected at least (makes sense, considering that it has seemingly done worse in Japan than I was expecting, so go figure ) Goodbye Pikmin 3. You had a good run, all things considered.
  22. Gross! It's Breath of Fire 6 all over again. Disgusting cash-in
  23. £36.99 is a bit of an odd price for Rayman Legends
  24. Yup. Not much going on on any platform really. NG2 3DS VC is the highlight of this week
  25. Thanks a bunch! Gonna buy them both now!
