  1. http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/impressions/35215 WTF!? The overworld doesn't support S3D? Battles only? Pathetic! Poor showing GameFreak (especially weird after you guys did a great job with Harmoknight and having it run in 3D all throughout - at an unwavering 60FPS even!) How on earth does the worst looking part of the game not support S3D, while the much better looking part does!? Considering the rendering demands of S3D (having to render the graphics twice), you would think that if any part would struggle to run in S3D, it would be the battles!
  2. Game with unconventional control scheme gets lambasted for having an unconventional control scheme by reviewers? Shocking!
  3. Ok, major leak time, courtesy of the Buttocks! http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=654903 A translation below, for those that don't speak Arse... Platinum... Bollocking shit... They've got me by the balls (unless its multiplatform for it's western release - why the hell anyone would agree to that deal with an Xbox Japan exclusive of all things, I have no idea though!)
  4. Looks like Nintendo are releasing all 3 of the SNES versions of Street Fighter 2 next week in the US! http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=654715 Well that's nice to see. Great to see them get all the different versions of SF2 out of the way in one go, instead of releasing each one seperately (each taking up valuable slots in the weekly schedule) like with the Wii VC. Hopefully they do the same with all the other equivalent games that have multiple versions/multiplatform releases (I'm looking at you Wonderboy/Monster World!)
  5. You can just put that towards anything you buy on there and just pay the remainder directly. When you go to purchase something on the eShop (Wii U or 3DS) and you don't have enough funds, the shop asks you if you want to pay the remainder by credit/debit card and allows you to pay the exact amount (there's no minimum spend either).
  6. It does seem like they're hinting it being some sort of fighter... The two Pokemon on display are both Fighting Pokemon and it does have a fighting TCG symbol in the background... The only thing that puts me off the idea of it being a fighting game is the question of why? Why put THAT at the end of a Pokemon retrospective trailer? Just seems weird to tease a spinoff at the end of a trailer like that...
  7. Even the Japanese have fallen to the dubstep disease!? Ugh... Keep that crap as far away from Pokemon as possible please! Hmm, seems like it is actually a game that they're hinting at here... (and considering that the video shows pretty much all the spinoff games, it could be pretty much anything) Still, it seems a bit strange to highlight a cheap little spinoff in a retrospective trailer like that, so it seems to be something a bit more major than a new Pokemon Stadium/Colloseum/Battle Revolution game...
  8. Square Enix!? The company who haven't made a good RPG since the PS1 days!? (TWERY was made by Jupiter and Bravely Default was made by Silicon Studio) No thanks.
  9. Hmm... The TCG Fighting Type symbol appears on a banner in the background... ... ... Nah, it's probably just a CG trailer :P
  10. Must be the Animal Crossing effect making you mellow :p
  11. The original Wii Party was utterly brilliant! One of the Wii's very best multiplayer games and featured some of the cleverest uses of the Wii Remote out of any game released for the console (that hide and seek game was responsible for so many broken things in our household ) Oh and Spot the Sneak? Well that was just... If Wii Party U is even half as good as the original, it'll be a must have party game! I can't believe that Redshell isn't interested in DKC Tropical Freeze though. I can understand someone being disappointed that Retro Studios wasn't working on an original game or that it doesn't seem to utilise the Gamepad in any significant way (I'd count myself amongst both these groups), but not interested in the game itself? Not even with underwater levels? Dixie Kong? Silly woshie swooshie 3D camera angles? MOTHER FUCKING DAVID WISE COMPOSING MUSIC!?
  12. Yes it will. Digital or Physical, it makes no difference.
  13. Small Miiverse update! Not sure when it happened but you can now enter text using the Wii Remote, using an onscreen keyboard. Hopefully that'll also come to the web browser when that system update hits, cause I like using the Wii Remote to browse the net (while you're at it, a way to open/close the tabs using the Wiimote would be nice...)
  14. Yeah it does still transfer over.
  15. Yeah, it's crazy. I've had to leave my 3DS on over night in order to finish the damn demo! WTF were NiSA thinking!? The demo is not designed to be completed in one sitting!
  16. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=69474166&postcount=2174 http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=69474921&postcount=2183 Supposedly someone from EVO who was streaming at the time (I have no idea if that video is still acessible - considering that it was mentioned on a livestream) mentioned that they sidestepped contacting the legal department. @Serebii's not lying here. But hey! That's a separate issue entirely, less finger pointing please and more discussion based on the data that we DO have
  17. That isn't strictly true as Nintendo Land did re-enter the UK chart right before Pikmin 3 launched (and Chart Track do include hardware bundled copies in with their figures - so it does mean that hardware sales increased. How much it increased by is a total mystery, though I suspect that the number isn't huge considering that it is no longer in the UK top 40; god only knows about the rest of the EU mind you!) Problem is that we have no actual numbers to work with when it comes to EU figures and no information about hardware is usually given. We're pretty much in the dark until Nintendo gives out their quarterly figures in their investor Q&As (which funnily enough is also our primary source of information about EU hardware sales of Sony and Microsoft's consoles/handhelds too )
  18. Forget the Wii U shenanigans, SMT 4 is what we should be discussing here! SMT 4 did between 65k-70k and would've appeared in the top 10 if we were going by individual SKUs!? That's an amazing result! (And that's not even counting digital, where its sales are probably not insignificant considering the game's audience!) For reference, look at the past LTD results for the other major SMT games... It has already beaten all of those games except for Persona 3 (which it may have already done so if we count digital - and if not, it will no doubt do so very shortly) & Persona 4 (which is probably doable - Persona 3 FES might be a challenge though). Frankly, I'm surprised that the Wii U didn't sell less than 29k (It's only a small drop from the 34k number from last month), considering that it has still yet to receive any 1st party software outside of Game & Wario. Next month should paint a more telling picture. Pikmin 3 has resulted in a (relative to the Wii U's current sales) large hardware bump in both Japan (where hardware sales doubled week-on-week when it first came out and hardware sales seem to have bottomed out at double where it was before - up to a stable 10k as opposed to a stable 5k) and Europe (where it seems to have had a similar effect that is sadly largely undocumented) Granted it's still crap, don't get me wrong here, but it'll be interesting to see if the US echoes Japan and (seemingly) Europe.
  19. Just got Summer Carnival 92 Recca... OH GOD! Stuff flies around on the screen at light speed, things explode and Game Over keeps appearing on the screen for some reason! And yet... Despite the fact that I suck... it's really fun! It's like a Cave/Danmaku shooter on speed! (which is pretty damn impressive, considering that it's NOT a danmaku shooter. No tiny ship hitbox for you!)
  20. The look on Luigi's face just makes it
  21. Good to see that we are getting the figures after all, but £3.99 EACH!? Ouch! I feel sorry for your wallet...
  22. True. Fair play to them, that's a pretty nice gesture (though it's pretty funny that Japan isn't even considered to be a Tier 2 country anymore for them )
  23. Everyone's favourite pair of buttocks is also hinting at more (related) info to come next week... http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=76359187&postcount=6268 Oh boy!
  24. See, I thought that myself at first, but that runway is the same one from Pilotwings SNES, so it has to be the Pilotwings stage they showed before.
  25. Wait a sec, huh? I thought that they were doing console games only on Wii U and handheld games only on 3DS? Why are they referencing Pilotwings Resort on the Wii U version then?
