  1. Oh well here's some good news, looks like Giana Sisters Wii U was a sales success for Black Forest games http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=668161 Considering that they ported the game primarily to see how well Wii U eShop titles sold on average I think it's safe to say that we'll be getting their future support
  2. Yep, confirmed (as if there was any doubt). The version we're getting is the enhanced "for the sequel" version I have no problem with the time it has takes for it to get released over here, what with all the upgrades they've done
  3. Oh, I thought it got delayed till September. Sure I remember something along the lines of that... Maybe I'm confusing it with something else? (Probably Harvest Moon ANB)
  4. KORG still isn't out in Japan yet is it? If not, then obviously it's not gonna be out over here yet :p The lack of Flipnote 3D still stings though. No doubt it'll get released the same week when Devilish Brain Training (never) comes out
  5. Yup
  6. I am legitimately shocked! (That face is no exaggeration!) Never would've expected that to happen! A sign of hope at last? Or the power of Mario & Luigi costumes perhaps So sad to see TW101 fall off the face of the earth though (Even Pikmin 3 just barely outsold it). Well, at least it did better than Lost Planet 3! (should've localised EX Troopers instead Capcom!)
  7. This week's haul... That's the last Neogeo game that the US had that the EU didn't, so unless they're planning on releasing more games in the US, it looks like this will be the last game that ever gets released for the Wii VC
  8. This week's lot... YES! FINALLY! I've always wanted to play this game! Love Kirby's Pinball Land, can't wait to finally get the chance to play HAL's other GB pinball game!
  9. After seeing what they're doing with Breath of Fire 6... I don't...
  10. I'm sure you've all heard about the upcoming enhanced edition coming out in Japan (Called Bravely Default: For the Sequel), if not details are here http://www.siliconera.com/2013/08/28/bravely-default-for-the-sequel-announced-for-3ds/ and here http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=79523993&postcount=86 Well, it seems that this IS the version that we're getting in the west, because it comes with an English (and FIGS) language option! Dual language (English/Japanese) audio too http://www.siliconera.com/2013/09/01/bravely-default-for-the-sequel-has-revised-battle-system-english-language-option/ http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=667245 So that explains the delay I guess. It's basically like Final Fantasy 7/10 International all over again
  11. Annndddd, invalidated. I'm sure that it's handily out selling the Xbone pre-orders (as has been reported everywhere), but VGChartz numbers mean absolutely nothing.
  12. Iwata already said in one of Nintendo's investor meetings that they're planning on using the NFC chip to allow for contact less card payments on the eShop, so that's one use sorted. They could also use it to communicate with smartphones (without messing up the Bluetooth or WiFi signals in use by the Gamepad and Wiimotes/Pro Controllers/Balance Board) or future toys/figurines...
  13. What would be so bad about it if it was optional? I'm proposing that they use the same setup as in Pokemon Rumble U, where all the characters are obtainable in the game itself as normal, but you would be able to get characters straight away by using the NFC figures. The game would stay exactly as it is now, just with that extra NFC functionality added on (and it wouldn't break the game, as it already has a new game plus feature anyway!) So it's just like with Rumble U, but the physical figurines are more interactive; with soundbites and magnetic pads to allow for Unite Morphs Surely it makes perfect sense for a Sentai game to utilise Sentai merchandising?
  14. It's sad to see it come to this, where the Mega Man creators have to beg the public to create a Mega Man (in all but name) game. That being said, I hope that they make it for a console launch (PC is in the bag at this point). Mega Man 9 was amazing, so I know that they have it in them to create a brilliant game!
  15. You know, something just hit me like a bolt of lightning today... Why the hell didn't Nintendo make this game NFC compatible!? The game is totally made for it! Sentai is all ABOUT merchandising! And there are 100 heroes! (Collect em all!) Think of the money they could've made on it (and it would actually enhance the game's Sentai experience very well!) Hell, there are gatchapon machines with Wondeful ones inside them in the game itself! The characters are all basically action figures and their little quibs could be soundbites that actually play out when they're placed next to eachother (make them magnetic and you can make Unite Morphs with them! Perfect for taking out the Gearthjerk figurines (sold seperately of course). And of course they would be NFC capable, allowing you to add them to the Wii U game itself, just like in Pokemon Rumble U. Ugh! Makes too much sense to happen sadly
  16. Dunno, but I'd be very shocked if it wasn't, considering that almost all of Nintendo's multiplayer 3DS games support it, as did Mario Party DS - hell that game offered download play for the complete game, not cut down in any way!
  17. So err... That ending... I didn't think that Bayonetta's absurdity could be topped, but I think they may have gone and done it... Wow... Just wow! Right! Onto Hard mode! Unite up!
  18. Oh hai guyz, the game comes out next week in Europe... http://www.4gamers.be/nieuws/29509/1/Deus-Ex-Human-Revolution-voor-Wii-U-heeft-nieuwe-releasedatum K thx bye! Edit: Oh wait, never mind. S-E updated saying that the email was wrong, just joshing obviously S-E are just pathetic...
  19. What makes you think that? Why wouldn't they get eShop releases? There's nothing stopping them from doing so (just think how many balance boards are already out there) and hell, a digital version of Wii Fit U would actually work much better than the physical one, due to the convinience factor (and the convinience of off-TV play is this game's main selling point over its predecessors - so offering a version that is even more convenient makes perfect sense). Nintendo are aggressively trying to push people digital. It would make no sense for them to not release digital versions of these games.
  20. Yup same here, there's plenty of moments where I just don't know where the hell I am (and funnily enough, I just beat that same section you're on). Ukemi is a real life saver! Am abusing the ever living hell out of it! Also I've FINALLY gotten WitchHero Time. Can't wait to finally try it out!
  21. Why is it always a black remote plus? I don't want another bloody one, I've already got 3 of them! I want some coloured ones
  22. An install feature would be totally pointless on Wii U. The console's disc drive runs at more or less the same speed as USB 2.0, so you wouldn't actually see any real speed increase (I have digital and physical Nintendo Land and the load times are exactly the same, no matter how it is stored - be it disc, USB HDD or internal Flash) People are quick to forget that the Wii U's disc drive is roughly 3x as fast as the PS3's drive. Games like Lego City and Splinter Cell have long loading times because they're poorly programmed (some people on GAF speculate that it's something to do with them using the wrong IO system or something, supposedly lots of developers made the same mistake with their launch titles) - meanwhile games like Nintendo Land and Pikmin 3 have almost no noticable load times at all and even stuff like TW101's loading times are no longer than Bayonetta (when installed on the 360).
  23. Why do I get the feeling that he's pulling his Twitter trolling antics on IGN here? (especially that quib about him "joining forces" with Nintendo )
  24. VERY reasonable. €24.99 is a great price! Here's hoping that it translates to £19.99 for us in the UK and that we get a closeby release date quicklike!
  25. They've still got the 2DSxl to go for next year
