  1. Toki Tori 2 (which just got a massive update and is also on sale ) and Bit Trip Runner 2. I would also recommend Mighty Switch Force HD if you don't have a 3DS, but really I think it's a better experience in 3D (and in portable form ).
  2. So I got it! (Beaten Act 1 and am in the middle of Act 2) And so far... It's ppppprrrrfectly wonderful! For those who were burnt by the promises of Gravity Rush and how it ended up being a one-trick-pony/glorified tech demo and were worried that Puppeteer might also fall into the same trap where it has great ideas that go nowhere... Don't be! The very first Act already introduces more new gameplay concepts than Gravity Rush did in the entire game! It's fun, it's funny, it's extremely inventive, it feels great to play (they totally nailed the jumping and cutting physics!) and the presentation is "AHHSTOUNDING"! (To @Daft Yeah, this makes fantastic use of surround sound; it really makes you feel part of the audience! - Just wish I had a 3DTV... I can tell that they really made great use of the S3D effect and I can imagine what it would look like, just wish I could see it!) It's not really that challenging, but it's not a walk in the park either. It's comfortable for most people but will still keep you on your toes Don't compare it to Mario or DK or any of Nintendo's other platformers, cause if you go in with that mindset, you'll be disappointed. It's not meant to be a "pure" platformer, but rather something different; not necessarily a "light" platformer, but there's a bigger emphasis on finding secrets and hidden things in the background than in those games (the closest example that comes to mind is actually probably Kirby's Epic Yarn - like a sort of dark and twisted KEY, with an actual smidge of difficulty outside of medal hunting!) I can tell that this'll end up being one of the best games Sony has ever produced. A shame that it'll only be remembered as a hidden gem, cause it deserves better. It's a really solid game, with a lot of love and care put into it (and some solid gameplay by people who clearly knew what they were doing!) For the silly price it's going for, you'd be mad to miss out. It's a better platformer than Rayman Legends is! Also, as a side note, I REALLY appreciate the fact that there are basically no loading times throughout the game (and without any install either!). It's such a rarity to see that kind of experience outside of Nintendo games and consoles (and really impressive when you consider how amazing the game looks!). Kudos Sony! Really goes a long way towards making the experience more enjoyable
  3. Yeah it has. I never take mine out with me because it doesn't fit into my coat pocket! The protruding sticks are a problem as well. For a handheld console, it isn't really well designed for portability. I just play mine at home, while my 3DS travels everywhere with me (yes this does also impact on my choice of multiplatform 3DS/Vita purchases as well).
  4. That Type 0 DLC for the first game was a slap to begin with. Now it's a Doubleslap :p
  5. That price drop comes into effect this month, so even accounting for the drop off in sales as people wait, next month's NPD results should still show a significant increase...
  6. Official site is up http://www.jp.square-enix.com/t_ffcc/ Aaaand some pics... OMG Benjamin is a playable character! (look at the top right corner) Looks like we may well be getting Mystic Quest music!
  7. Pikmin 3 DID have an effect on hardware sales in Japan though. It more than doubled the console's sales and kept its baseline above 10k for over a month. In the US though it had almost no effect (ok, it probably stopped it from falling further but even so, the effect it had was miniscule even in comparison to Japan!)
  8. Not a great result for Pikmin 3, but not a bad one either. The really disturbing part though is that it had almost no effect on hardware sales (which supposedly stood at around 32k according to quasi leaks on GAF). FEA did amazingly well though! It'll easily end up being the best selling FE game of all time in the US (and is no doubt over 1 million sold WW now ) Dream Team did pretty good too. Not as good as Bowser's Inside Story, but solid nonetheless (oddly enough much better than its Japanese debut - and it'll be sure to have monster legs to boot!) Oversize not much to note other than Lost Planet 3's tremendous sub 10k performance, Killer is Dead (literally) at sub 15k and Tales of Xillia defying the market and selling over 100k! (Making it the best launch for a Tales game since Symphonia DOTN! )
  9. Looks way better than before. Very nice
  10. I don't care if the artwork failed to reflect the ingame visuals, I MUCH preferred the original art for ALBW and felt that it better reflected what the game was about. A shame that they changed it
  11. Really? Goes to show how much I've played as Peach in Brawl I guess :p
  12. She looks great! Love her re-design! (It's based off her Brawl design, but brightened up considerably and made much more colourful) Hope she got buffed a bit from Brawl though, she was waaaayyyy too weak in that game... (I noticed that she now uses her crown as a weapon, so it looks like they're making some significant changes to her moveset )
  13. PUYO PUYO MEETS TETRIS!? OH SHIT SON!!! http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=674761 Oh come on! That's just not fair COME ON NINTENDO/SEGA, gimme a western release please! I beg of thee!
  14. This feels like the kind of thing that could REALLY do with NFC debit card support for payments. You want something like this to really be as friction free as possible...
  15. No, it won't have any direct impact on western markets; but it might just help matters significantly in Japan, and a healthier Japanese market means more chance of support from Japanese developers. More Japanese support = more potential Japanese made games that could get released westward and a better chance of getting at least multiplatform titles
  16. Pricing is as follows... Sounds reasonable
  17. Obviously in Japan only, we've only ever gotten the first PS2 game over here sadly. 500k is VERY solid in Japan though. That's MGS/Yakuza/mainline Tales of/near Resident Evil territory! Could well be a system seller in Japan, especially considering that it's getting released alongside a strong showing of 1st party tiles around Xmas!
  18. Now it really IS like Twitter! Nice!
  19. So Wii U has finally just gotten a significant 3rd party exclusive game announced for it, the new Taiko Drum Master game! http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=674797 The series has consistently pushed about 500k per entry (yes, even the one released for Wii last year - they're slow burners, but they stick around!) Nintendo were smart to keep support for Wii controllers going! This is easily the biggest Wii U 3rd party title since MH3U and should be a significant addition to their holiday arsenal! Now if only we could get it localised... I have the Wii games and they're mad fun!
  20. Hope it's fake. Looks like garbage.
  21. F YEAH!!! I'm well down for some more Theatrhythm! And not a sign of smartphones in sight. Thank Christ! I wonder how many of the 200+ songs will be repeats though... That's an absurdly huge track list! Here's hoping that we get some music from the spinoffs this time. Would be killer to play along to some Mystic Quest or FFCC music!
  22. New stage! (Marx' Nightmare? Sphere Doomer realm?) Kirby looks so round!
  23. Maybe trying to decipher any logic in what Nintendo & their partners do is a fool's errand? :p
  24. Capcom's staff have a LOT more experience with developing 3D games (and with working with modern shader hardware) than Gamefreak though... It's the only explanation that makes even a lick of sense (and even then, it's not much as the game isn't exactly much of a looker outside of battles and that Harmoknight was a pretty damn pretty looking game!) Suppose we'll find out in the Iwata Asks? (meanwhile Zelda ALBW has no trouble running in 60FPS S3D, while also simultaneously looking better than PKMN X&Y's overworld )
  25. Should work no problem, assuming that you're using the same account on both machines (At least I believe that this is how it currently works with multiple Vitas sharing a memory card)
