  1. I HAVE OFFICIALLY JOINED THE 9.0 CLUB!!! WOOT!! Now to beat Glen-i's 10 Man Smash world record...
  2. The DS one is ok, but a huge disappointment after the stellar GBA games. It still follows the same gameplay format and it's still good, but it is a notable step down from the GBA games in most respects IMO.
  3. Do bear in mind that The Lost Age isn't your typical "sequel"... Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age are two parts of one big game. It is literally one massive game split across two cartridges and GSTLA starts exactly where the first part left off.
  4. Somebody never played that game for more than 15 mins (There's a powerup called the Long Beam that extends the range of your bullets to the end of the screen)
  5. The Wii U Battle Mode isn't out yet. It's upcoming free DLC. No date yet, will probably be a while since Yacht Club Games is only 6 people...
  6. No, this is the first time it has ever been re-released. The following GBA games were in the 3DS Ambassador Promotion...
  7. Yeah, it's a damn shame. It's a great promotion! I've saved a ton with it! Really wish they'd reconsider
  8. You're right, it's the end of December it ends - so go and stock up while you can!
  9. It sold that much because of the Destiny bundle. Before that it actually fell behind the 360 for a month or two IIRC. As for TEW, I suppose that bugs never stopped Battlefield 4, the Elder Scrolls games and loads of EA and Ubisoft games from selling well before, so...
  10. On the plus side, Bayo 2 apparently outsold the PS3 version of Bayo 1 in it's first month (estimates on GAF peg it at around 70k - obviously not including digital, which wasn't a factor for Bayo 1 back then). That's not as bad as I was expecting TBH (ok, it's still bad, but I expected a TW101 style bomb here!) - Add on digital sales (which probably won't be insignificant here since the digital version was cheaper in this case - $50 instead of $60 at retail), and you could be looking at 80k+ That's not too bad, all things considered I'm very surprised to see The Evil Within that high. It did get a big marketing push over there though. Seen quite a few adverts on TV and plastered on the side of buses for it over here as well. That's some very careful wording used there... We all know that they both got off to explosive starts, but they've been stalling over the last few months and the Xbox One has actually fallen significantly behind the 360 in recent months (in fact, IIRC even the PS4 fell behind it for a few months or so as well...) But yeah, great result for TEW! It did far better than I had expected! Guess here's still hope for non-brotastic horror games after all!
  11. Not surprising at all, but still nice to see But without multiplayer, half of the game's appeal is gone Such a damn shame. It's so sad to think that as long as Nintendo continue to refuse to emulate the GB/GBA link cables, these multiplayer modes will end up being lost to time It's not even like it's a major technical hurdle standing in the way. On the 3DS, sure, emulating link cables over wireless is a huge challenge, but that's not a problem on Wii U! (and as far as the whole multiple save files thing goes, they could just pull separate save files from separate NNIDs - and if they also really want to simulate the separate screens that each GB/GBA had, they could allow you to hook up two Wii Us via wired LAN and have each player playing on one Gamepad & TV each for 4 separate screens - it's clunky and expensive, but it would work perfectly!) You would think that now that they're finally implementing Zapper support into NES VC games that they would finally think to pull their finger out with link cable support but alas
  12. And that's why the game is over 17GB big!
  13. Well that's random... http://www.nintendo.co.uk/Misc-/Nintendo-Extra-929535.html Looks like NOE are translating the Nintendo News articles that they've had on their Japanese site for a while now! There's nothing really revelatory in terms of news or anything like that, but it's worth a look just for the ridiculously adorable artwork within... ... especially of Nikki! Who now has a new job! YES! There IS life post-Nintendo Letterbox!
  14. All that plus Butt Mode Truly this game has it all
  15. That's actually quite a bit smaller than I was expecting actually! (figured that the EU version at least would end up using at least a full 25GB layer on the disc!) - what with all the blu-ray quality 1080p videos and that massive amount of music! Looks like Namco learned from Nintendo when it comes to compression
  16. Speaking of Valkyria Chronicles... http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/six-year-old-rpg-valkyria-chronicles-tops-steam-sellers-list/0141295 Well done guys!! Great news! Now if we could just get PC ports of VC 2 and 3 (In English please!)
  17. Man, that's crazy I'm just gonna get the Link figure on day 1 (Hyrule Warriors & MK8 cross over content, Link gets the most at the start so it makes sense) and hold out for the others till later (plus I have Xmas and my birthday coming up pretty soonish, so there's always hope on that front too... )
  18. Well said! That's actually surprisingly reasonable coming from you If this stuff doesn't bother you, then go ahead and just play the game. That being said, if you are truly opposed to buying the game and you truly despise the ongoing trends that this game represents, then don't bloody buy the game and then complain about it; that just makes you a part of the problem. If you hate microtransactions/scam style DLC or any of the other trends that this game and company represents, then the very worst thing you can do is buy the game and then moan about it afterwards. The ONLY way you are going to get what you want is if you grow a pair and vote with your wallet!. If you really don't care about the dark road that the industry is going down though, then don't let it bother you!
  19. Ooh! This is interesting to see... http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=931333 Looks like the Splatoon devs have been putting out regular updates on the Japanese Nintendo Twitter account! Well how very bloody modern of them! (fits the game and it's development philosophy I guess - very un-Nintendolike and not in a bad way either ) Edit: Oh, never mind. Looks like Wii beat me to it Ah well, my point still stands anyway
  20. Ha ha! That's one way of putting out a review in a unique style I guess
  21. That looks awesome! (and also surprisingly close to the source material as well, just that the lighting/shading is a lot more basic looking really) A shame that the gravity doesn't get switched around for the fighters though...(I suppose that the Palkia Pokeball would've messed that all up though :p )
  22. I hear that some outlets are actually getting review copies today... Not that it matters though. We all know that it's a steaming pile anyway :p
  23. After seeing all of the massive amount of problems associated with this game, including the performance issues, the parity nonsense, the typical factory-belt-made trademark Ubisoft gameplay that all of their open world games have (and the AC series' typical problems - what, you're only just figuring it out now after about 11 AC games!?) the poor game impressions (not just reviews, but pre and post release hands on impressions from people), the pre-order content nonsense and the scummy microtransactions (worst of all, the fact that they deliberately hid it from reviewers outright!); quite frankly, if you don't know what you're getting into at this point, you're either an idiot or you just don't care about this stuff. And if you're going in actually genuinely surprised by any of this bullshit, then quite frankly you deserve to be lied to. If you really aren't expecting this crap at this point, in this day and age, from these publishers (and this publisher especially), then the onus is on you. You're getting everything you want and deserve. If you don't like it, don't bloody support it! Just say NO!
  24. Either way, we won't know for sure what these "balance" changes are until they actually hit. I'm inclined to believe that it's just referring to the fixing of character specific glitches (which they have already done in the Wii U game - so they'd just be making both versions play the same, which is what they wanted to do originally). At least I hope so anyway... Wii U supports USB Hubs, so you can have just about as many USB ports as you want :p
  25. HOLY SHIT!! NO WAY!!! I FUCKING CALLED IT!!!!! I bet that Nintendo stepped in and saved it! I bet you guys ANY money right fucking now that that's EXACTLY what happened! Just like with Bayo 2 and Devil's Third!! That also means that there's 2 more Wii U exclusive 3rd party games coming, going by that old rumour... CAN'T FUCKING WAIT!! I just hope that the original Wiimote control scheme is still in there, since that was what Yuji Naka originally wanted - as the control scheme that the game was originally designed around!
