FUCK EVERYTHING!!! THAT'S MY FUCKING DREAM STAR WARS GAME RIGHT THERE!!! The 1-1 lightsaber duels look fantastic! Pretty much EXACTLY what I was hoping for when the Wii was first announced!! And on top of that, a fantastic upgrade with great new controls and new content for 3 of the best arcade flight games ever made!? FUCK!! WHY!?!? Hurry up and get Wii VC games up and running or get it ported to the Wii U so we can see this get released! Just... DO SOMETHING NINTENDO!!! How the hell was this ever passed up for release back in the day!? It would've sold MILLIONS!!! How long were people crying out for a proper lightsaber game on Wii for!? Ever since before the fucking launch it was a no fucking brainer!! FUCK YOU LUCASARTS!! Fuck you for passing on this in favour of the pure shit that came out of you last gen!! (REALLY!? Kinect Star Wars over THIS!? THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!?) And now we have to deal with EA owning the Star Wars VG license, blocking any chances of a release for the next 10 years at least

Look at what's on Miiverse... You must have JavaScript enabled on your device to view Miiverse posts that have been embedded in a website. View post in Miiverse SCREENSHOTS ARE IN!!! (New3DS only though, since it's a New3DS enhanced game like Smash Bros and all)

The price is already right. It's a budget release
-
Yeah, that is really weird In fact, both dates are really weird in general as it shows that they could easily have gotten it out in time for Xmas and that it's not been pushed back to fill any real gaping hole in the release schedule as it's only a 3 week delay from the US date... Hmm... I'm thinking that it might tie into that rumour some months back about them planning on having one 1st party Wii U game out every single month throughout 2015. That would explain why they really wanted it at the start of January so much that they willingly allowed the game to miss the Xmas season... If that's the case, then I expect them to big this up in the next Nintendo Direct as a way of saying to people "Look! We guarantee that there wont be any droughts next year! Look at what game is coming out each month!" 70 levels is about as many as SM3DW had (yes yes I know that they're much shorter here, but still) and it does say over 70 levels... If there's anything to be said about all of EAD Tokyo's games is that they're always filled with globs of content, especially post game content... I doubt you have much to worry about on that front, budget price or otherwise
-
Or Japan for that matter...
-
Yup, looks amazing and I'm left waiting till next year for it because...?
-
Hah! I like how he's not even subtle about Ganondorf being the best at HRC by far

There's tons of great choices to pick from... Smash is a good solid choice of course, as is Super Mario 3D Land, or Zelda A Link Between Worlds or Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, or Theatrhythm Curtain Call... Really just about any major game would do the job nicely
-
Wii U has 4 USB ports (more if you add a USB hub). I doubt it'll support more than one though. You'll probably have 4 GCN controllers max but you can fill up the ranks with any combination of controllers/3DS consoles you like.
-
I haven't tried Cruel Smash in this one yet, but Kirby was always a favourite of mine in Brawl and Melee... Dat down B-up B combo
-
If the 3DS is used as a controller, then maybe the screens will actually show the player icons (after all, you activate the controller functions from within the game itself, so why not show something special on the 3DS' screens while you play?) - which explains why the icons would be in the 3DS version, despite it being a Wii U exclusive mode Also since the game isn't being played on the 3DS, they could use the top screen to show the extra 4 character icons, alleviating the problem of having to squash more character icons onto the 3DS' bottom screen The voice clips might also play out from the 3DS speakers as well as from the TV too, explaining why they're in the 3DS game... (or it could just be left in as a mistake :p )

I bet that someone will cook up some homebrew drivers in a matter of days, if not hours... The Wii U does support USB hubs, so you can actually use one of those if you need more ports. I might actually look into using one of those myself as I'm currently using the back two ports and I don't really want ugly wires sticking out from the front of my console -
Yeah probably. They're struggling to get 4 players working online, 8 players online is just...
-
8 FUCKING PLAYERS!!! If that ends up in the Wii U game... OH... MY... GOD!! THE SHEER INSANITY!!! IMAGINE!! Bomberman Blast and Mario Party 7 will finally have some 8 player company at my house!
-
Well both versions have their own unique content (stages, modes, trophies etc) and they're designed to be played together, so I don't think you have anything to worry about on that front... ... speaking of which, look at what some hackers managed to dig up from the 3DS game's code... A possible sneak peak at some of the Wii U exclusive content? Would explain the need for 8 different costumes for each character (and the Wii U does support up to 9 controllers at once, plus 3DS consoles as controllers on top of that...)
-
Man, that looks nice. I'd love to go there! Nice to see them really differentiating the two different games in all respects

To be fair... this actually has never happened. Every single accessory they've ever released HAS been used with multiple games (yes, even the infamous N64 Microphone was actually used with two games - Hey You Pikachu and Densha de Go 64), so I do actually expect it to be utilised by some other software in some other way in the future... But yeah, don't expect it to be used commonly. -

So obviously this means that they have to release new software that uses it now, so that means that we're getting GCN VC games soon right? Right!? -
The best bit is the cheap crappy midi version of the TV show theme. It's worth the price of entry alone That and the fact that the game doesn't even end properly. Even if you fail, the game just carries on like nothing happened
-
Why ask me when you can actually take a screenshot of it now? Show the glory in its full glory! (still gutted that I didn't think of it first... but at least my Wii U menu is cool)

They clearly don't know what they're on about, so chances are that the whole listing is a mistake. It wouldn't make sense for it to work like that anyway. Not only would it be lacking 4 buttons (5 if you count the missing Home button), but it also contradicts how Smash recognises it specifically as a GCN controller... -
True, but that was a different time and a different way of making games. With SF Assault, the game was created entirely by Namco with very little oversight by Nintendo. These days though, they've got Namco doing all of the grunt work while Nintendo's own staff actually design the games. I think we can all agree that Wii Sports Club, Smash Bros 3DS & Wii U and Mario Kart 8 have all turned out pretty good in the end I don't think we've got much to worry about in that regard if they make use of Namco's production staff again here. Their experience with SF Assault will also come in handy as they'll have somewhat of a grasp of how to go about programming & modelling those Starfox style stages, even if they're not the ones working on the core game design this time around. SF Wii U is certainly going to be an EAD project, even if someone else like Namco is going to be co-developing the game. Either way, I think that they're a more likely choice for SF Wii U than Platinum - who I hope get to work on something new
-
I saw that little quib at the end... ... and I hope it does indeed mean what we all hope it means As for what game it could be... If it was indeed an existing franchise they're working on, I'd say that Starfox Wii U would be the most likely candidate; considering that Miyamoto did say that he wants to get an outside company in to help speed up development (but TBH, I think Namco is still the more likely choice here, considering how they've become Nintendo's go-to squad for speedy game production - that and the fact that they've worked on a Starfox game before...)
