Ugh First Aid has snagged that last space! A NEW CHALLENGER HAS APPEARED!! Mirror Mode literally reversed my fortunes. Shame that it was for only one GP
-
Credit where credit is due though. At least it's an improvement from yesterday. I actually don't have to completely avoid Nintendo this E3 now, so it's something!
-
Agreed, they've been so stupid regarding this E3 all round. Even without NX, they still had plenty of upcoming stuff to show anyway. Why bother making it all about Zelda to begin with? It's like they have no idea what they're doing and are just making it up as they go along.
-
Sounds like this wasn't their plan originally... (I mean, post NX "delay") From "a day of just Zelda" to Zelda and Pokemon. Yeah, this smacks of them scrambling to appease the damage done with their previous announcement... Either way, at least it means there might be something worth watching for me this E3, so it's a better situation than before. But it does make it look like Nintendo have no idea what the hell they're doing...

Sun & Moon to appear on Treehouse Live this E3!? IT'S NOT JUST ZELDA WII U!!! E3 HYPE IS BACK ON FOLKS!!! Bonus Sun & Moon footage as well... (player) (lunala) (lillie) (solgaleo) (prof kukui) (alola) (hau) Rotom Pokedex looks stupid and I love it!

Best uses of licensed music in games
Dcubed replied to dan-likes-trees's topic in General Gaming Discussion
CTRL F "Crazy Taxi", good! No mention of Bayonetta 1 & 2 though? The way they took these classic tunes and re-invented them is pretty damn inspired and it's hard to imagine the games without them : peace: -
There's no "if" involved here... But yeah, I agree with pretty much everything you said; the only thing I'd add is that I hope the stages are shorter in this upcoming sequel. They drag on for far too long in the first game.

We're a bunch of old feckers aren't we? :p

Last week's Highlights are now up! Once again, congrats to @RedShell for the video and the excellent choice of music : peace: And with that, we're up to date!
-
Even without Nintendo, this E3 could be totally unreal! Mind you though, it would be funny if both Neo and Scorpio turned out to be no shows in the end
-
FINALLY!!! Sorry to keep you all waiting... Once again, thanks to @RedShell for the excellent work on these two videos! : peace:

Pokepark is a decent little game. A bit on the repetitive side (OK, maybe more than a bit), but surprisingly good fun in short bursts. The sequel is a fair bit better all round though. Certainly worth a play

Link to other Wii Us/DS'/3DS' wirelessly. Simple enough to do; the games already support it natively anyway (granted I'm trivialising it a bit, but the Wii U is already capable of linking to DS consoles in Wii Mode, so they should be able to reuse a lot of that code - either way, it's a hell of a lot easier than getting GB/GBC/GBA link cable emulation to work!) But they'll have more incentive to do it on NX anyway, what with the games being playable on both home and handheld consoles...
-
To be fair, getting GB/GBC/GBA games to work in multiplayer wirelessly is an entirely different and much more challenging task than getting NES/SNES to work over wireless. The former has to emulate the link cable (which has no way of accounting for data loss; think about what happens when a link cable is unplugged...), while the latter just sends button presses over (miss a button input? No big deal, the game carries on).

From what I hear, this game basically solves all the problems I had with Triple Deluxe (long, unskippable cutscenes and parts where the game's pace is dragged down), so we could be looking at something to rival Return to Dreamland/Kirby's Adventure Wii and Kirby Superstar/Superstar Ultra!
-
Hey there, sorry the last few highlight videos are taking so long to get put up (had some PC trouble recently that I've had to sort out), but I'll have them up tonight when I get home from work (so shortly after tonight's race) : peace:

Honestly shocked that Capcom beat Level 5 to the punch on Amiibos. Whelp! Gotta hunt em' all!

The N64 naturally outputs a dull and blurry image. Your best bet on a HDTV would be to turn down the brightness and contrast and put a very small amount of sharpness on (only like 10-20% ish - remember that sharpness on an LCD is artificial and should be set to 0% normally, but the N64 is a bit of a special case in that regard, so put a little on but don't go overboard). You may need to turn the saturation down a bit as well, depending on your settings/N64 region (at least if it's an NTSC N64, you'll definitely want to!)
-
Well with Pokemon RBY now supporting it for GB/GBC games, perhaps they can leverage that codebase going forward for GB/GBC/GBA? And going forward is the key word here. New start, new chance for features etc.

Interesting, in-depth and well designed gameplay; with something new or novel about it. Everything else doesn't really matter as long as that's in place. Of course having great music is great, having nice visuals is nice and having a cracking story is... err, well... cracking, but if the gameplay isn't there, I'm not interested.
-
Yup, very interesting... Never been done before... :p

I wouldn't be so quick to jump on that article... I did, and I'm sticking to my guns on this one until Nintendo prove me wrong :p

Mario Slam Basketball for DS VC this week. Can't help but feel that it's a bit pointless without the multiplayer, but at least it's technically another Square Enix game this week!

All looks amazing of course, (thinly veiled jab at Microsoft with the villain and all) but this little piece of art caught my eye... Subtle... ... but not subtle enough
