https://www.uniqlo.com/utgp/2017/uk/qa Nintendo and Uniqlo are holding a design contest. Winner gets a series of prizes, one of them being "a new concept game console NX (DEVELOPMENT CODENAME)" and a trip to an awards ceremony in Spring 2017. Once again re-iterating a March 2017 release timeframe then...

I get the feeling that we wont see anything really good until the NX comes out

Screw inward drifting bikes and screw Daisy! That was a horrible night!

He answers to me. I was the one who told him to make Star Fox Zero dual screened, the one who told him to remove all the RPG mechanics from Paper Mario and the one who told him to make the NX into the world's most power efficient toaster; capable of delivering 4 slices of toast per single AAA battery You're welcome

♫Never Ending Stoooooooooorrryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!♫

Shame to see it go. Nintendo only ever seem to keep these kinds of things going for about a year or so after launch (Smash Service in Brawl, Weapon Gem deliveries in KIU etc), so it's not unexpected really, but still a shame.
-
Nice to see that they also think of Mario Kart as a survival horror game Great interview! Wish they still cared as much about battle mode now as they did then...

September is the only sensible time left to unveil it this year, with the unveil happening right before TGS (and then 3rd parties are able to show off their upcoming NX games at TGS itself). Anything earlier is too long a gap to make people wait and anything later is too little (plus it would be incredibly stupid to make 3rd parties miss out on the window of opportunity that TGS provides for them to advertise their NX titles).

The rising yen is a huge problem for them. It could well have turned their NX launch plans on its head from a profit maker on day one to now being a loss leader... Too late for them to make sweeping changes to the hardware now though.

Hi! I'm IN!

You can't do it yourself, but Nintendo can do it for you if you ring them up (and like you said, it's at their discretion. It's not a service they normally provide) As for Wii content? You can't transfer it back to a Wii after going to Wii U. Forward only. From here, you can only transfer it to another Wii U and you have to have both machines present to do so via Wii U-Wii U System Transfer (found in the System Settings menu). 1: No, that won't work. You can't go backwards with Wii content and the only way to transfer Wii content is by either Wii-Wii U System Transfer or Wii U-Wii U System Transfer. Both transfers require the source and target consoles to be physically present. 2: You might be able to do that, but it's entirely at Nintendo's discretion. Personally, I would hold off on selling it until the NX comes out. If it ends up being backwards compatible (which is fairly likely), you will probably need access to your Wii U if you want to move your content forward over to it. If it ends up being non-backwards compatible, then the value of the Wii U probably wont really go down much and you haven't lost out on much, if anything, at all).

Undershoot, overshoot, wombling free. The wombles of Mario Kart highlights are we! Another sterling piece of work, courtesy of your friendly neighbourhood @RedShell! : peace:

Seems that they're on an On-Off schedule right now...

I'm really impressed with how polished it feels so far! It's less than a year into development and it feels close to a finished product (in terms of look and feel for this small snippet of gameplay). It already looks and feels far better than Mighty No 9 does and feels like a retail Castlevania title on modern day hardware. Really encouraging to see that the base game elements are there, in place and already look/feel complete. Now they can just spend their time building the rest of the content that surrounds the core gameplay. I don't think we've got anything to worry about here

So... the E3 demo's out for certain backers. Has anyone else tried it yet? I think it's pretty fantastic myself! It looks and feels absolutely spot on! All the little tricks that you know from the metroidvania CVs all work here (backdashing is faster than walking, attacking just before you hit the ground cancels the animation and then allows for an instant followup hit etc). I'm glad to see that they're doing a lot of environmental interactivity as well, like with the cannons that you can light on fire and use to blow up walls, or the DKCR style boss that crashes through the wall to impede your progress as you climb! Yup! Looks like they're onto a slamdunk winner from what I've seen and played!

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch
Dcubed replied to darkjak's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Still hugely disappointed at the lack of Wii Remote 1-1 swordplay myself, but I can understand that it wasn't going to be the focus of this game; the world itself is. The combat looks like a huge step back from Skyward Sword, but I suppose it was always going to be... Still, Aonuma has said that he wants to work on other types of Zelda game in the future, so who knows? Maybe one day I'll get my 1-1 motion controlled ball and chain... -
WOO! I finally finished last week's video! I put some effort into this one, enjoy! : peace:

They'll also not allow trading from other games due to limitations on immigration :p

Good to hear. My friend's dad is going through something similar right now and it's just horrible. All my best wishes to you and your family!

As someone who is looking to make a career change to move into working in the NHS very shortly, I'm fucking terrified right now!

I'm not saying that all people who voted to Leave are racist, of course that's absurd (one would think that the hyperbole in what I said was obvious). But racist propaganda has played a huge role in this decision and scaremongering tactics (yes on both sides) has given us the result we have today. It paints a pretty sorrowful picture here. It also paints a very grim picture for our foreseeable future, with the extreme right being granted a massive opportunity for gains here.

I hope that "sovereignty" is worth the destruction of the United Kingdom, the end of free trade with the EU, the end of free movement throughout the EU, the destruction of our economy, the likely dismantling of the entire EU, and the ruination of millions of livlihoods throughout the world as we probably slip into another global recession (one which will have dire consequences that extend beyond the economic impact and into the political landscape of the entire world).

So... That just happened last night... The pound is in the toilet now and the country's future is uncertain at best. The U.K. is one of Nintendo's weakest markets generally. How much will prices skyrocket by? Will they even bother to release games here from this point onwards? Thoughts!

So... How long until the UK breaks up? They were this close last time, no way Scotland stay in now.

London is definitely Remain and very strongly so (65-75% average so far). Fingers crossed for the rest of the South. The North seems to be largely a lost cause though I can feel my soul being sapped away
