  1. No chance. In fact, I reckon that Go is gonna hurt it big time. Why would a parent buy their kid a copy of Sun/Moon when they already have their "pokemans" on their phone for free? It'll certainly be the worst selling game in the series. Probably will still break the 10 million mark though. Sun & Moon may even be the last traditional Pokemon game ever made, at least as a traditional boxed product without featuring hefty microtransactions...
  2. The game's appeal doesn't really lie in the gameplay mechanics themselves, but rather in the experience it provides as a whole with how it encourages you to go explore the real world to catch Pokemon and claim territory. It's also a great social icebreaker of sorts as well. You've already got people organising Pokemon Go walks and groups and the game isn't even out proper yet! Yeah, the mechanics of catching and "battling" Pokemon are dead simple, but that's all they need to be here. If there's any failing to be called out here, it's the need to have your phone out and active at all times while playing... (which of course is where the Pokemon Go Plus accessory comes into play )

  8. I think it's more likely that the game was more or less finished on Wii U, but shelved and now it's in the process of being ported to NX.

  14. For those wondering about Kimishima's quote... it's in response to an investor's query about this Nikkei article Here he's basically saying that he was misrepresented by them when they said that he said that the Wii U would be a failure before launch and that what he actually meant was that they couldn't just expect the Wii U to sell exactly like the Wii because the Wii audience already had a Wii, meaning that they had to work harder to show them what's different compared to Wii and why they should invest in new hardware. I like how everyone around the net also also seems to be taking their comments about games "requiring" 2 million sales at face value as well... Not every game is gonna need those kinds of sales (they only mentioned 2 million because that's what they said they wanted at minimum for Breath of the Wild). Also, Nintendo looking at VR? They've been looking into VR WAAAAAYYYYY before Oculus was even a glint in a Kickstarter backer's eye. Nothing new here.

  16. Wow! Never realised just how abusable ALBW really is! That early boss key in the Swamp Palace is dead easy to do and all!

  18. Toon Zelda is such a lame choice, how the hell did Linebeck not get in as the PH rep!? Hell we could've had Chancellor Cole even! He could have fought using a train! A train people! The other choices were pretty obvious though (was kinda hoping for Hilda though)

  20. Looking forward to the co-op Kirby & The Amazing Mirror run. I can only scarcely imagine how much they are going to tear the game to shreds!

  22. The GBA and DS were both announced proper just 6 months before their respective launches (3DS would've also been the same if it hit its original release date of November 2010). All of their home consoles were unveiled between 1-2 years prior to their respective launches however... That being said, we do live in a different era now. Short announcement-release cycles are normal for most modern electronic devices these days.
  23. Main site was updated with a bit more info for the new mons as well (including English names for Iwanko/Rockruff and Nekkoala/Komala) Rideable Pokemon return from Gen 6 as well!
