A pretty meh conference really (and really, Xbox One X!? Can you come up with a dumber sounding name? Try saying it a few times in a row!) Sea of Theives looks pretty cool, but not really my kind of thing. Crackdown 3 looks fun, but significantly pared back from the original concept. Ori will no doubt be good and Cuphead finally has a date! Hooray! OG Xbox games coming via emulation is a great announcement and long overdue! There's a surprising number of games that are still exclusive to it that desperately need to be made more widely available, so it's really great to see it finally happen I did laugh when I saw that one of their most major announcements was actually related to a Switch game (Minecraft) though Overall, 6/10 sounds about right. Some laughs (it really did feel like a car convention at the start ), a lot of boring fluff and nothing but timed exclusives. Also that price tag for XBx is comical. I need to catch up on the Devolver Digital event, I hear it was bananas.

I'm actually pretty shocked to see that it doesn't look like a flaming tire fire! It looks like EA might have actually put a tiny modicum of effort into the Switch version after all! Unprecedented! That's a huge feather in the Switch's cap if it's even a semi-respectable version. I still don't trust EA, but I'm well chuffed to see them actually try with this version!

The CPUs don't seem to be making much of a difference. I'm gonna try turning them off.

As a fan of the series, I was disappointed in it, for reasons that I've already posted in the HGH thread, but it's still a good game and worth your time and money.

They made a fantastic choice. Chemical Plant Zone is one of the very best worlds in the series and also probably the best "Level 2" in all of gaming history That being said, I do hope that the majority of the game isn't past zones, I want new content from a new game.

Too bad they're price gouging on the physical version for Switch... Will probably nab it digitally though. Great game, would love to have it on the go and at home

For the sake of fairness here, Serebii has given me advance notice of Nintendo Directs several hours (and if IIRC, once it was a day or two beforehand) before they were announced before... So he clearly gets his info from somewhere. Full disclosure, I don't get insider info... maybe

I actually quite liked the PSP games, they were good fun. They're not terribly deep, but they're certainly unique and unlike any other fighter. The RPG elements were also quite fun, especially since a lot of it was optional (not unlike Theatrhythm really, which is Dissidia's sister series) No local multiplayer = no buy though, so if it's not there, I'm not bothering.

I reckon that the "Donkey Kong" game for Switch will be Super Mario Odyssey. They'll start the new trailer for it exactly the same as the first one, only this time, DK comes out of the manhole instead of Mario! DK has nabbed Pauline and is demanding a banana hoard ransom! Cue a switch to night time and he climbs the empire state building hurling barrels at Mario. Funky Kong comes along and carries away DK with Pauline in tow. It's up to Mario to chase Funky's plane around the world to get Pauline back! Big surprise: You actually have two different stories to play. One where you get to play as DK running away from Mario and one where you play as Mario chasing DK down!

Sorry I'm a bit late in chiming in, but I think it would be a good move. I really like the auto HTML tagging and embedding buttons that we have here though (like Youtube tags, IMG tags, Miiverse etc), would it be possible to keep those in place? (BTW, we really need a Twitter button - I always get confused about how you do it and forget if it's TWITTER or TWEET) Oh and the smilies, our smilies are awesome and much better than the defaults Please preserve them! : peace:

It does say "around" 09:30 PT, not exactly 09:30 PT. They probably don't want to give away the actual length of the video. It'll probably actually end up being around 38-41 mins, roughly the same length or a little shorter than 2014 and 2015's ones. Also I'd be surprised if it really was Switch only. We do know that they have the M&LSS remake to announce after all... Plus details/release dates for Yo-Kai Watch 2.5 and 3, Kirby's 25th Anniversary game, Kirby's Blowout Blast (probably getting released right after the presentation), Monster Hunter Stories, Monster Hunter Cross Generations, Dragon Quest 11 and possibly more (maybe trailers for Hey Pikmin and Ever Oasis too). So there's lots to show and I doubt they'll not show them in the main video.

Well we'll no doubt see it at Treehouse Live next week, so not long to go until we get a clearer idea of things either way.

That's how Black 2/White 2 were referred to. New story set in the same world. This seems to be the same thing. I don't know if they'll be labelled as "sequels" though because from my understanding (I am yet to play S/M so correct me if I'm wrong), the two versions of S/M take place at alternate times and that factors into the story with some sort of timey-wimey nonsense. So the story will probably revolve around some sort of time-shifting, meaning that they might take place in an alternate dimension at the same time? (meaning that they might not actually be "sequels" that take place afterwards, but rather an alternate story that takes place at or around the same time). In the end it's basically the same thing as BW2 anyway.
