http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1412004 Some nice discounts for 3DS on Capcom and Nintendo 1st party titles! I'm gonna need a bigger SD Card...

Has Namco Museum always been slated for release tomorrow? (I swear that it was meant to be coming out near the end of August!) Has it been brought forward or am I just being stupid as usual? Either way I'm happy because I want it

Switch Hardware: 4.7 million Software 13.60 Million.Zelda 3.92 MillionMario Kart 8 Deluxe 3.54 Million1, 2 Switch 1.22 MillionARMS 1.18 Millionhttps://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/en/fin...oft/index.html3DS hardware is 1% up YoY (950k), software is 31% down YoY (5.83 million). And that's before the New2DSxl's release! Amazing! It just won't die! -
1-2-Switch also did 1.22 million. Poetic really. Edit: Holy crap! 3DS is up 1% YoY! (And that's before the New2DS' release) How!?

Makes me wonder just how many it could've done in its first week if the Switch wasn't suffering mass shortages... The whole situation is just so frustrating to watch! Higher than 55% attach rate (and that's without digital; which is probably not unsubstantial given how much Splatoon 1 did digitally), in its first 3 days is just insane! It's already the highest selling Switch game!

Kaepora's disconnecting nightmare

Have you tried resyncing your Joycons to the Switch by physically attaching them to the console? Try doing that and see if that helps (you can try resetting the Switch itself as well). -

Based on the IGN footage of it running on Switch, it is apparently the Special Edition (and sees to run very smoothly in portable mode at least). -

This is exactly why all online focused games need a LAN mode (luckily both Splatoon 1 and 2 support wired LAN - with the latter obviously also having wireless LAN as well).

Well I got some good use out of it anyway A sidebar block sounds like a good idea. Something to help it stand out and not just clog up the boards themselves with spammy looking threads sounds good to me.

I'd never even thought of the bolded! That's a great idea! The functionality is already available through Nintendo's website (I used it to nab Puyo Puyo Tetris digitally just before the sale ran out! If the functionality wasn't there I would've missed it!), but using Nintendo's UK website to browse for games is an absolute chore, so I'd love to see it built into the online app and made easier to use. I'd also add the ability to stream game audio to the phone; the need for a splitter device is just laughable and needs to be addressed ASAP. Same with the ability to create chat parties that persist from game to game. In the future, hopefully we can also use it to manage things like cloud saves and live streams too (we know that built-in video capture functionality is on the way); then they can think about things like stickers and themes. For Splatoon 2, I'd also like to see the ability to make and send Miiverse pics Posts through the app. Would be nice to be able to doodle some random nonsense while I'm out and about and see it reflected in-game. Spectator chat is another great idea as well that I hope they nick. Actually, why not just have the party chat automatically split players up depending on what game/mode is being played? If you have a party of, say 24 people, have it so that when you play MK8DX and Splatoon 2 at the same time, it just splits them into a group of 12 for MK and 8 for Splatoon 2 - leaving a group of 4 as spectators. Make it smart! For MK8DX, I hope to see the return of the MKTV website functionality. It was a really cool little site for the time it was available. Nintendo actually did quite a few cool things with companion websites over the years, like Super Mario Maker Bookmark, Nintendo WFC.com (Does anyone remember that for DS? It was actually quite ahead of its time! You had stat tracking and even random player game clips from DS games being recorded remotely that you could view on that website!) and the Pokemon Global Link. I hope we see that all get integrated into the app; they actually had some really cool stuff going for them, but they were so disjointed that nobody really used them. I think that's the biggest opportunity they have with this new app; the ability to put that all in one easily accessible place. No more random and disjointed websites, but just one hub that gives you easy access to everything (Imagine @Glen-i! Having the Pokemon Global Link actually be convinently accessible! Wouldn't that just be swell?) Like I said before, the idea isn't bad at all, it just needs to be executed right.

Cave Story is an amazing game and I'd say it's worth it, but I can't justify the price when it originally launched commercially at around £7.50 back in 2010 on Wii. Nicalis are having a laugh here. I might be able to make a case for getting the physical version at that price, but digitally? Nah... It's extortionate in comparison to literally every single other version of the game available. It's a must play and one of my very favourite Wii games, but you're better off either getting any other version (I'd recommend the 3DS, non polygon version, or Wii ports) or waiting for a price drop on Switch.
-
Probably because they think it might confuse people, have them wondering where they can find the "full" version now that it's actually out. We know it's gonna be compatible with more games than just Splatoon 2 in the future, so it's very limited right now anyway.
-
Hey, just wondering. Are there any plans to bring back the Buy/Sell/Trade forum? It was fairly popular and quite a few of us got some good use out of it.
-
Again, I'm sorry to say that I'm working today. So I have to miss it again this week. I should be in next week though.

The Parental Controls app just got an update. Gives a more detailed breakdown of time spent playing each game (you can actually see how many hours/minutes you spent on each game on each day now). Annoyingly though, there's still no detailed monthly breakdown (it shows the time split across all games played throughout the month, but only as a bar, not as a numerical value; making it near useless for posting activity logs online - come on Nintendo!! Sort it out!)
-
Sounds like the app still has a long way to go before it's really ready for prime time... Guess that's why they said it was a "basic" version. The final version had better fix these issues... I don't think it's a bad idea in theory, but the practice still has a lot of ground to cover before it catches up with the theory.
-
TBH, I wouldn't expect KH3 to come to Switch, but it might end up getting the inevitable Final Mix version, alongside PC... (Switch does run UE4 natively after all and Nintendo platforms, handhelds at least, are no strangers to KH games).
-
The Switch eShop badly needs better discoverability though. The lack of filtering options and easily accessible categories is just criminal. It's actually impossible to find older games without using the search function now! The Switch eShop is functional on a basic level and nothing more. Its layout is seriously flawed. They got it so right with Wii U! That layout was basically perfect! (And the music was rad too)
-
You might want to reconsider that stance... I gave it a glowing recommendation on the main site when I tried it out. If you like strategy games, seriously consider it (if you don't, fair enough though!) I reckon it's gonna surprise a lot of people with how good it is!

Single player mode uses dynamic 1080p, with a flawless 60FPS. Hub is full 1080p with enhanced AA at 30FPS. Visuals are also noticeably better than on Wii U outside of resolution. Online multiplayer isn't available for them to try yet, but based on my personal experience with it at Nintendo's post E3 event, it's a huge upgrade over the Testfire in terms of image quality and a perfect 60FPS

£52.79 for a 200GB microSD? Not bad (And when I inevitably have to replace it down the line, I can reuse it for my New3DS!)

Just catching up with some of the runs. OH MY GOD @ the Banjo Kazooie one!

For those looking for a micro SD card... Currently there is a 128GB Micro SD card for £27.49https://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-Ult...128gb+micro+sdThe same card is £25.99 on Prime Now This 200GB one is also going up on sale later at 16:55.https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00V62XB...WY31005BTWHKQG Probably won't last the whole generation, but the 200GB one will be the best bang for your quid for now.
