Yeah, that's not gonna happen. EA are a vindictive bunch and I'm sure that they would like nothing more than to see Nintendo crash and burn after they rejected their hostile attempt to trojan horse Origin as the replacement for Wii U's eShop... EA aint gonna be supporting Nintendo again for a LONG time... Now what IS an interesting concept is the idea of Rockstar now possibly supporting Nintendo/Switch with the departure of Dan Houser... With him gone, that's one huge barrier to support coming to Nintendo platforms out of the way! (The other big potential barrier being Sam Houser... but if Take Two are now starting to wrestle power away from the Houser Brothers? Perhaps it's actually possible now!)

Absolutely bloody fantastic! Utterly superb product and worth every penny! I went and bought a Mega SG too (which just arrived yesterday) and it's every bit as good as well! Can't recommend Analogue's products enough! The 8bit-do wireless controllers for both the SNES and MD are fantastic as well! They work very well and feel every bit as high quality as the official first party controllers. Has been really fun to try out all of the various randomisers and MSU-1 hacks with the SD2SNES as well! @Glen-i will be doing the write up in the Gaming Diary thread at some point, but needless to say, we've had a lot of fun with the ALTTP&SM randomiser, the SMW randomiser and the SMRPG randomiser! That being said, I'm glad that I don't need any sort of flash cart to run most MD/Master System/GG games on the Mega SG (Since there aren't any special chips outside of the SVP chip for Virtua Racing... which I have in superior form on Switch anyway). I just extracted all the games I legally own from Virtual Console, the MD Mini, the various MD compilations and the Steam releases and chucked them onto an SD Card... ... though I have to admit that I'm awfully tempted by the Mega SD... I don't currently own any SEGA CD games though, so I really can't justify the cost for a literal handful of games I'd actually want to play using it... still want one though...

I think Nintendo have run out now; I remember hearing that people were trying to get one to no avail a few months back... I think eBay is probably your only option now. There is the Mugen Battery as well... It greatly extends the 3DS' battery life, but it increases the size of the console in exchange... https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mugen-Power-Extended-Nintendo-included-White/dp/B01C5KOK1C Unfortunately; unlike every other model of the 3DS (which all share batteries between each other; as well as the Wii U Pro Controller, making them super common). The small size New 3DS has a bespoke battery that only IT uses, making it harder to get a hold of...

I had the same problem with mine. Bought a few replacement batteries direct from Nintendo and swapped out the one on mine; keeping the other batteries spare for the future. No way would I accept any other model; the small size New 3DS is easily the best model (the twiglet stylus is unfortunate though... really wish that somebody would make a telescopic stylus that fits in the New3DS' stylus slot...)

B-Happy Belated Birthday B-Ashley! (I'm making that aliteration work dammit!)

Speaking of which... have some highlights! I've got them all, don't worry. I'll share them with him.
-
LOL! I thought I could pull it off; I totally forgot how ridiculously hard the GP is when you're small though! Nah it's fine. I'll take my GP3 loss like a man. It was worth it for some of those hilarious highlights I got!

Alright @drahkon; room's open. Password is 333

Nope. Basically, if you own a digital copy of a game, you can share it with one other person. You just need to download the game to both Switches using your user account. Then if you want to both play the one copy at the same time, log into your Secondary Switch as the user that purchased the game and then, on the Primary Switch, you can start up the game using any account other than the one that purchased the game. Voila! You are now sharing the one copy of the game across two Switches.

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/52813/sonic-2-puyo-puyo-2-getting-the-sega-ages-treatment-on-switch-in-february The trend of JPN only retro games getting official modern English localisations continues!!
-
Yeah, I don't mind hosting, that's not a problem. And yeah, I meant 8PM GMT
-
Exactly. It's not even like you can't have your own town still; you can still each have your own individual town on your own individual Switches if you want to (Hell, you can even share the same copy of the game across two Switches for free if you are both NSO members - so it's actually MORE customer friendly than previous games!). This whole thing is the definition of making a mountain out of a molehill. Oh no! Animal Crossing plays like Animal Crossing! The Horror!!
-
Cool. Shall we say 20:00? I'll send you a friend invite shortly

This problem exists because they created it though. If they had let you have individual saves for each Switch user then this wouldn’t be an issue. It’s frankly ridiculous that multiple users on one Switch can’t have their completely own save. I’ve no idea why Nintendo would even want to reduce save/item duplication and so on anyway. This is in no way a competitive game with no proper market/trade economy. This is how every Animal Crossing game works. One town has multiple residents (and one copy of the game = one town). It’s the way that Animal Crossing is designed; it’s the way that it has always been designed since the very beginning on N64/GCN. They want people in the same household to share a town; leave each other messages/items/etc. Has been the intention ever since the original N64 version; and every AC game has been this way, even the handheld ones. This is the first time that Animal Crossing has been made for a console with multiple user accounts though; so they had to come up with a custom save solution in order to preserve the intended game design that the series has been founded on since the N64 original... Unfortunately it just so happens to not play nice with Save Cloud.
-
It sucks, but I get why it doesn’t work with the Save Cloud Online service. It’s because of the unique way that ACNL handles its save file, being shared across all 8 users on one console. The Save Cloud only backs up save data on a per-user basis; but that doesn’t work here because that save data is shared at a system level (unlike every other game on Switch). So they’ve had to come up with a custom solution here as a workaround. @Nicktendo After all four of their previous systems were hacked thanks to save file exploits? It’s really not hard to see why they have locked down the save file system on Switch and don’t let you just copy across data as you please...

That Switch version is already done and has been done for ages. It's due to release in just a couple of months even. This is just a way for Platinum to fund the publishing costs of a retail version and to promote the game. This is what Platinum have wanted to do ever since they founded their company. The whole reason why they left Capcom in the first place was because they wanted to forge their own path and go it alone. Platinum have been fighting for their independence ever since the very beginning; and now? They're finally making their dreams a reality by jumping into the world of self-publishing. I could definitely see Viewtiful Joe Remastered being one of the Platinum 4... Capcom did allow Grasshopper to remaster Killer 7 on PC, so it doesn't seem much of a stretch to think that Capcom would allow the original VJ developers to remaster VJ too!

I think the problem here is the order the characters were released in. If Byleth and Banjo’s places were swapped? You’d be hearing nothing but praise for the Fighter’s Pass as a whole. As it stands though? It’s a pretty limp finish to what was an amazing run. It’s not hard to see why people were disappointed when Banjo Effing Kazooie and Terry were followed up by our 8th Fire Emblem character. A full run of 3rd party dream characters followed up by the most predictable choice of first party character possible.
-
@drahkon Have you got Luigi's Mansion 3 yet? If not, I'd recommend it. I thought that it was sort of alright...
-
Yeah, I like them too. But those cardboard sleeves can go to hell; they dog-ear so bloody easily. Still. At least they're better than the old Jewel Cases used for CD games (like on PS1 and Dreamcast); where they will crack if you just look at them funny. Literally made by Satan himself.

Heads up, Shopto are selling the expansion pass at £21.85 (About £5 off the eShop price). https://www.shopto.net/en/ndo10004379-pokemon-sword-expansion-pass-p191522/ Discounts are nice

Want a cheeky 20% off Fighter's Pass 2? Shopto are selling it at a discount for some weird reason! https://www.shopto.net/en/ndo10004443-super-smash-bros-ultimate-fighters-pass-vol-2-p191576/ It was amazing overall; I mean, we got BANJO AND FRICKIN' KAZOOIE BACK ON NINTENDO!! It's just a shame that it ended on a real sour note; not that Byleth is a bad character or anything? But really? You decide to follow up on Joker, Hero, BANJO EFFING KAZOOIE and Terry Bogard with... a cheap promotion for the latest Fire Emblem game? (and let's all be honest, that is exactly what Byleth is). Did we really need an eighth Fire Emblem character!? They make up almost 10% of the entire roster by themselves now! Only Mario and Pokemon have stronger representation in Smash than Fire Emblem now! At least Byleth's stage is alright I suppose, but man... what a disappointing note to end such a great streak on. Still, that doesn't change the fact that this round of characters was amazing; with literal dreams come true! So great in fact that it actually paves the way for collaborations and industry shattering changes previously thought impossible! Rare's games coming back to Nintendo; and Microsoft games on Switch are now absolutely possible! Can't really be disappointed with a Fighter's Pass like that really!

Mario Party is NOT cheap to make. Even since the original N64 games, it has had one of the largest development teams behind any single first party published Nintendo title (IIRC, Mario Party 1 was the first ever 1st party game to have over 100 people developing it). Minigame collections like Mario Party are always percieved as "cheap", but the reality is that they're actually VERY expensive to make. They have so many bespoke assets and often many different gameplay engines that have to be developed for each minigame; that they're actually very expensive to make!
