  11. Hi there, we're gonna be streaming the video on https://www.twitch.tv/dcubednmuffin at around 20:00 (give or take a few mins for everyone to get in). We will have a mic on, but we will also be communicating through Twitch chat as well (unless you guys want to use Discord for voice chat?)
  12. Yeah, you can play games bought across different regions, no problem. There are no restrictions on where you can access your "home" eShop from. The eShop region you access is dependent on which address is associated with your account (and it's completely possible to access the US or JPN eShops from an EU Switch). Yes, this works too. I access the Japanese NES and SNES online games using my subscription bought on my UK account. There are no restrictions, and there's no reason why everyone should not be doing this
  13. @drahkon, @nekunando I finally got round to trying out the 8bit-do USB wireless adapter... ... and I'm pleased to say that it works exactly as advertised! It's great! The pairing process is quick and painless; just plug it in, press the pair button, activate pairing on your controller of choice and it works with no fuss. I tried it out with a Dualshock 4 and it works flawlessly; even the motion controls work perfectly! Bare in mind that any controller you connect with this thing will act as a wired Switch Pro Controller only. That means that it will not be recognised as a Joy-con; meaning that Joy-con only games will not work with this thing. As far as the Switch is concerned, whatever controller you connect will behave as a wired Switch Pro Controller. Also, the only controller that you connect to this thing that can make use of motion controls is the Dualshock 4, nothing else will work. Rumble works as you would expect as well. Only one device will connect to this thing at a time, so if you want to use two DS4s on a Switch? You need two adapters. So... yeah! If you want to use a DS4 on this thing, or a Wii U Pro Controller, or a Wii Remote? This thing will do the job very nicely!
  14. Worth pointing out as well that you do NOT need to own ANY of the Jackbox games to participate! All you need is an internet browser of any description
  15. Glitchy double post, stupid mobile!
  16. When you plug the Switch dock in, are you plugging the power supply in before plugging in the HDMI? If you don’t plug the cables in in that order, the dock doesn’t work. It’s a weird quirk of the dock, but that’s how it is designed (and it’s a quirk that has caught me ouT many times). Likewise, the dock ONLY works with the official Switch power supply; any other USB-c cable/power adapter will not work properly (as the Switch draws more power when docked than what most USB chargers can provide). If you’re doing the above and it’s still not working? Then it sounds like something is faulty... I’d suggest trying the Switch with another dock if you can (to figure out which part is at fault) and then contacting the Nintendo repair centre (the repair centre service website is currently down for maintainence; but you can book a repair over the phone by calling Nintendo customer services).
  17. I literally just got one yesterday. Haven’t had a chance to give it a whirl yet, but I can give you a rundown in a couple of days when I get round to trying it out. Going by the manual though, DS4 should work a treat on Switch; even the gyro motion controls should work as expected! (Though I’ll test it for you anyway and let you know how well it works in practice )
  18. I'm happy with my haul this year The Switch in that shot is the new model with better battery life. I'm glad that @Glen-i appreciates his gag gift from me this year. I look forward to his extensive writeup that he now has to provide for you all
  19. True, that could work. But I think that you should stick with games that are 3-4 players minimum, and games where you can generally keep players onscreen or in close proximity; or else you kinda lose the appeal of seeing what players are reacting to (and 2 player games where people are waiting to take turns playing isn't really ideal; as most players will just be left waiting around and unable to see what's going on onscreen; so you lose that dynamic with everyone's reactions... Unless you jury-rigged some sort of setup where you broadcast one player's gameplay to every other player, via a private Twitch or Youtube stream).
  20. With any game you choose, it really has to be a game that features all players visible onscreen at once; or else the format doesn't really work. So games like Mario Kart 8dx aren't going to work here (unless you could somehow manage to get every player equipped with a capture device). So that leaves you with the following options if you want to keep this Switch only... Out of those, I would most recommend Super Bomberman R, Splatoon 2, Killer Queen Black, Screen Cheat, Rocket League, Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, Mario Tennis Aces, Puyo Puyo Tetris and Capcom Beat Em Up Bundle.
  21. Finally started playing this game. Up to chapter 5 and yeah, it’s really great so far! Loving it!
  22. I'm sure that I'm gonna win sod all, so one of us had BETTER win something Nintendo!
  23. Hi there, all of the packs are pretty great, but I would choose 4,6 and then 5 in that order personally. Survive The Internet alone makes 4 WELL worth the money
  24. We've known since before launch that there would be multiplayer focused DLC only. The single player is a complete experience anyway. There isn't really scope for single player DLC.
  25. Astral Chain today.
