Wilkinsons is another shop that sells Pick and Mix.

I don't know much about this OS apart from what I've just seen in that video and it looks really bad.. I can see it being ok for cheap netbooks, but not on a proper computer and it never will be if it sticks to that layout. Windows 7's taskbar wipes the floor with that tabbed browsing (it's really difficult to navigate in a browser if it has too many tabs open) and those little windows like the chat window get in the way of the web browser so that you can't actually see the web content properly.

With no prior exercise, my body naturally did 20 and my left elbow would make this gross clicking noise after a few push ups.. That clicking went away and I am going to try for 57 push ups tomorrow. 10 puts you at the beginning of the 100 push ups challenge.:p I start to feel tired after 30 push ups, but it is possible to keep going. I have started to do chin ups now.. I tried them for the first time in years yesterday and only managed 3 (I do weigh 95kg though). I am going to try to get to 10-15 at some point. I've decided to do these instead of getting weights. Edit: I just went out and did 5!

I think draft n is the same as n, but released before n became official. N appears to have been released in October, but it's definitely been around for longer than that.

If I am working to improve the amount of push ups I can do, I will do 4-5 sets and if I can't manage more sets straight away, I will just rest until I feel I can. If you do 4-5 sets and increase the amount per set by 2-3 every other day, you can get to 50 in less than 2 weeks. I guess 3 sets will lead to an improvement, but 2 sets for me just maintains what I am capable of (like I've been doing for ages now!) I bet you will see much faster results if you do 4 or 5. http://hundredpushups.com/logger.html Logging your performance on that site is a really good idea! I used it for a week and forgot about it, but I think that I will start using it again. I increased the amount I could do per set by 8 in 1 week. I ended up doing 6 sets of 45, lol EDIT: oops! Looks like it was more than a week as I must have had a huge break after the first couple of days! Lazy me. I'm going to try 300 push ups tonight.

I'm glad she isn't my mother.

I might try it, but yeah, the option might not be there, especially with it being a Gigabyte board. I am reading the manual now while backing up all my files. The RAM looks great: Will be putting it all together in a few minutes. I dfefinitely need a blue heat sink.

I watched it, but I didn't really like it.. The guy seemed to be more like a black man on a mission than an ubiased person actually wanting to get to the truth of the matter. I agreed with the conclusion though, especially when it comes to Chinese people and how they are driven to do well at school. The size of your brain isn't really important if you have the will power to achieve something. Culture is what really shapes people, but then you could point out that those different cultures correlate with race, hehe.. If we are naturally lazy, at least we can do something about that.

Agreed. A popular belief is that East Asians have the highest IQs, but their countries' societies are broken in so many ways. IQ scores mean nothing to me and they wouldn't alter my perception of different races. A test that claims to measure your intelligence, but doesn't test you on your knowledge or wisdom is stupid...

Nick Griffin to appear on Question Time - 22nd October 2009
Pyxis replied to Nicktendo's topic in General Chit Chat
There is no such thing as a British race. We haven't been isolated from Europe for 17,000 years either, didn't these people learn history at primary school? The fact that many call us Anglo Saxons is a good hint. This website for 4-11 year olds should help things: http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/anglosaxons/invasion/index.shtml -
I've finally bought some of the components for my PC and I can't wait until they arrive. I'm settling for a dual core for the time being, since they can be just as fast as quads for many games and they consume less power. Windows 7 Home Premium (retail) Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-UD2H 785G Socket AM3 DVI VGA HDMI Out 8 Channel Audio MATX Motherboard AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition @ 3.4-3.6GHz (overclocked) 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3. I beleive that this is the same processor as the X4 955, but with 2 cores disabled. 4GB Kingston Ddr3 1600mhz Hyperx Memory Corsair 400W CX PSU - 12cm Fan 80Plus Certified Efficiency LG GH22NS50 22x SATA DVD±RW Dual Layer & RAM Black Bare Drive - OEM I'll be using my existing case and hard drive (160GB SATA) for the time being, until I do my final upgrade, which will include an ATI HD 5850 graphics card, a TV card and blu-ray. Hopefully it will be a little beast! Cost for far: £280 + £60 for Windows 7.

I've lost around £50 on Virtual Console titles and I'll have to spend the same amount of money again if I want them all back, despite the fact that they should be ours for good if they are linked to our Nintendo accounts. When the Wii 2 is out, there is no doubt that we will all have to buy the same games all over again for that system...
-
Play.com's image has a Wii with a black base and no logo, I wonder whether it will actually look like that or come with a silver base and the logo? Hopefully not the latter.
-
Great! I've been waiting ages for a black Wii as the white one just looks out of place next to my other electronics. Good timing too.

Curves as in large breasts and hips? Large breasts = more fertile and wider hips are an advantage when it comes to child birth. Beats me, I don't see curves when I look at a woman.

If anybody still hasn't bought a copy and wants one, quickly get over to ebuyer and grab the full retail version for £60: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/168373 The deal is only for today and while stocks last. It's almost half the price of what other sites are now offering. I got mine.

Canada is region 1 like the US. As for HD, is anybody considering CBHD? I think it's similar to HD-DVD (the same?) and the discs are a lot cheaper than blu ray because of lower manufacturing costs and lower royalties. £5-£6 for a HD film doesn't sound bad.
-
Would that even be the right region DVD? Most are region protected.

I'm very fit and I've never been to the gym. My exercise currently consists of running every morning, doing crunches and sets of 50+ push ups at a time (my record is 72, but I am just being lazy by sticking to 50). I usually do 4 sets of 50 push ups every other day. I don't really do as much exercise as I'd like to do, but I am too busy with other things at the moment. Fitness for me is all about speed, stamina and having enough strength to master my own body. Big, bulky muscle is inefficient, energy hungry and gets tired very quickly. It also makes you slow. Over building your body's frame can also wreck your body in later life. I suppose that I would like slightly larger biceps, purely due to my tricep muscles being out of proportion these days.. I have long stayed clear of weights, but I am going to get some next month in order to try them out for a couple of weeks. My body is probably fine as it is. It looks toned and muscular, but not ugly muscular. Too much muscle is kind of repulsive and it's probably doing more harm than good.

What has Chinese culture got to do with rice cookers? Don't blame me for your ignorance.
-
Most of all? Probably the last 2,000 years of their history. The Three Kingdoms period interests me most of all at the moment.
-
Ok, not everything and especially not food because I am a vegetarian. I think vegetarian Chinese food tends to be too low in protein for a person like me, but I do like rice.
-
There are laws against child labour.
-
Nope, I also have a rice cooker since I am a fan of all things Chinese. I use one cup of water for every cup of rice with mine and it is always nice and fluffy after 15 minutes. The problem is that I have to use 3 small cups of rice in order to get it to the minimum level, meaning that I am left with too much! It's worth it though.

Avira seems a lot better than AVG if you are running Vista. I initially used AVG and it wasn't finding anything at all, but Avira gives me warnings quite frequently.
