I managed to do it myself just now, it was really easy in the end, although the daycare people levelled my Eevee up to level 20..sheesh. Current team:

That would be really cool, thanks Tellyn. Do you want an Eevee or something else in exchange?

I woke up with the strange urge to put my Leaf Green cartridge into my DS this morning as soon as I woke up..Havent touched it in years and wow! 6 strong pokemon and nothing else in the PC. My tastes have changed: Gyarados Snorlax Kabuto Charizard Zapdos Pidgeot Pretty bland! My current team is far better. I'd like a Leafeon, is there any way of getting one in gold?

My winning team: :p

Woohoo, I beat the Elite 4 on my first go and it was so easy!! I went straight there after knocking out Ho-Oh at the Bell Tower and defeated every single one of my rival's pokemon in a single move each (Typhlosion required 2) I defeated every gym leader and every pokemon with my now level 55 Arcanine... My Arcanine took out one of his Dragonites in 1 move and easily took the other 2 out with 2. I went through the first 2 of the elite 4 without even losing any HP... Piece of cake.
-
Can anyone recommend any TMs that might be useful for my Arcanine to learn? My Growlithe is currently at level 43, but will know these moves by level 48: Flare Blitz Fire Blast Crunch Reversal Seems pretty weak to me.. I want to keep Flare Blitz, but I am happy to get rid of any of the others. Can you use Sleep Talk while using Rest? I am thinking of: Flare Blitz Dig Dragon Pulse Crunch or Flare Blitz Fire Blast Dragon Pulse Dig or Crunch

If you guys are talking about simply trading Pokemon Diamond and Pearl pokemon over to Gold and Silver, then it is perfectly possible to do so before the National Dex. I traded a Monferno and a few others without a problem.

Laughing is something some people do when they are insecure in order to give others the impression of confidence. Offensive name calling is something people do when they don't have an argument. Yeah, we are all humans, but we don't all go around swearing at others. I will leave it there because I've got better things to do and really don't care.

Yeah, but when the problem is over population, certain groups are the ones to blame and not others, why put in place laws that would also target groups that aren't to blame? That is unfair. It is unfair in this case to be PC and to ignore the actual problem by being blinded by PC tinted glasses. Sure, its wrong to discriminate against skin colour, but not culture, since this all comes down to cultural differences. Europeans (white people, they come from europe..this is not racist) really don't need population control, just like the Japanese don't. To target these people is pointless and wrong. Even China only controls the Han population and not the population of other ethnic groups. India's population is set to rocket to 1.4 billion, which is 1 country and the whole of Europe only has a population of something like 500 million and white people are going to be a fraction of that number in the future. India itself tried population control methods and they didn't work simply because India is a democracy, so it is pretty foolish to think that people would vote for their right to have children to be taken away from them.. It's pretty childish to assume that its feasible in the first place and even then, people would be ignoring the economical problems that a country like the UK would face in such a situation. "There is a demographic catastrophe happening in Europe that nobody wants to talk about, that we daren’t bring up because we are so cagey about not offending people racially. And rightly we should be. But there is a cultural thing as well… By 2020, fifty percent of the children in the Netherlands under the age of 18 will be of Muslim descent… And don’t forget, coupled with this there is this collapse of numbers. Western Europeans are not having any babies. The population of Germany at the end of the century is going to be 56% of what it is now. The populations of France, 52% of what it is now. The population of Italy is going to be down 7 million people." - John Rhys-Davies
-
It's factually correct, so it would be silly to argue against unless you can't handle facts. I am obviously not racist (my girlfriend is Chinese Malaysian) and I don't think population control makes that much sense since its economically unwise, especially when it comes to pensions.
-
White people aren't the problem, you would have to control the birth rate of ethnic minorities. The BNP is probably the best party for that.

I'm using a guide too. Here's what it lists as effective move types for the different pokemon: Umbreon: Fighting & Bug Gengar: Psychic, Ghost & Dark Houndoom: Water, Fighting, Ground & Rock Murkrow: Electric, Ice & Rock Vileplume: Fire, Ice, Flying & Psychic
-
Psychic, ice and fighting moves will help you defeat her. I'm trying to get my 8th badge now, which will be a breeze. I'm not too bothered about the Elite 4, my Arcanine, Golem and Gengar should be able to handle almost all of them. Bruno's team (excluding Onix) and Karen's Umbreon are the only Pokemon that will be a challenge.

Yeah, Pokemon Yellow was also perfectly playable on an original GameBoy, but it handled colours really well on a GameBoy Color. The improvements in Crystal were probably too much for the original GameBoy to handle. It was graphically different from Gold and Silver. I am guessing that these games will be backwards compatible for the DS, while having 3D effects when being played on a 3DS, much like a lot of GameBoy colour games that were released...quite a few were compatible with the original GameBoy, despite being in colour. The DS has such a big user base and they've already claimed that the 3DS will be backwards compatible with DS games. I think we will get what we expected from the DSi with the 3DS. By releasing 3DS games that are playable on a DS, publishers can sell their games to a 120 million + market without having to worry about the lack of sales from selling a game on a completely new system with a tiny install base. For 3D films, its possible for those people to convert 2D into 3D and this must be a lot easier with computer code instead of pictures. But I have no idea how the differences in resolution would affect this. I am probably very wrong, but it's a nice thought! Ok, that proves I am probably wrong! Too much speculating.:p

I had a bit of a nightmare training my Growlithe though.. It was lower in level than the wild pokemon in the region that I was trying to train him up in and he kept fainting after every other battle. I felt so bad. The area outside the Safari Zone and purchasing Fire Blast from Goldenrod strengthened him up nicely. Gengar rules! I am going to train my Clefairy up next. These pokemon are incredibly annoying to battle, so it's kind of logical to have them in a team.
-
That makes quite a lot of sense since there's usually a delay for the 3rd game to be released and it would give people a good reason to buy the same game again (which we always do!). I am really excited about these games and seeing whether the 3DS is the new GameBoy Color, which I am guessing will be the case. Pokemon Gold and Silver were playable on the original GameBoy right? Only Crystal had a GameBoy Color cartridge. I am probably wrong!

Is this game really for the DS? That angle and the way things are laid out make it look as if it's going to be a 3D game, with certain objects in the foreground popping out of the screen. It does have DS graphics, which is pretty disappointing.. If 3DS games look like that, I'm going to be very disappointed. I wouldn't be surprised if 3DS versions of this game were released, with upgraded graphics and 3D effects. If the graphics are the only difference, perhaps it would be possible for the DS and 3DS versions to be compatible with each other. Perhaps the actual DS game will have the required data in it to produce a 3D effect on those foreground graphics when played on the 3DS.. The graphics just look way too strange to simply be a normal DS game...

Isn't Obama's mother white?
-
haha, I think I'll keep it. It's my flying pokemon, so I can't do without it.

Just won my 5th badge from Chuck: Just! Thankfully I managed it 1st time.. Definitely beats the last gym match.:awesome:
-
One gym isn't much, have you just started playing them? I won my 4th gym battle yesterday and it was brilliant! It really made getting the game worthwhile.. Everything was going really well until Morty brought out his Gengar and then his Gengar knocked mine out and then pretty much destroyed the rest of my team. The only remaining pokemon that I had was Kenya the Spearow, but I then realised that his Gengar couldn't inflict damage on my pokemon at all because its only move that could cause damage was Sucker Punch (it only works if the opposing pokemon is also going to attack). I used Leer until it stopped having an effect and then knocked it out with ease.
-
Current team: Getting there! I need to get a Horsea next. Golem and Gengar are proving to be really good pokemon. I have also got a firestone for Growlithe, which I got from the Pokethlon. Future team:
-
Yeah, but the info was mainly for me and anybody else who doesn't want to get to Kanto before they can evolve their Growlithes. I was just pointing it out if he had missed the opportunity earlier in the game and not realised it.
-
Yeah it does, thanks DuD. Since 10 is a good figure, I will switch to 15kg next and see how things look after a few days. I will try doing 50 push ups now to see if I can still manage them after my weights.:p Should be interesting! ok..just (49).. I'm surprised that I can actually do both on the same day.
-
I need some help! I bought these weights: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9003132/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CSports+and+leisure%7C14419152/c_2/3%7C15701400%7CHome+gym+equipment%7C14419293/c_3/4%7Ccat_14419293%7CWeights+and+dumbbells%7C14419310.htm But I have no idea what I should be training towards and how many sets n etc I should do in a day. The manual says that I should do 20-25 repetitions, does that sound right? How many times a day should I be doing them? I started off lifting 7kg, but 25 sets of 7kg didn't feel challenging at all, so I have set one of the weights to 10kg and I can comfortably do 22 repetitions for each arm, but should I be trying to push myself and once I decide to do 25 repetitions of 10kg (the max that these weights can offer), what should I do then? Should I just keep lifting 10kg every other day and hope for some sort of improvement? I am worried that the weights aren't heavy enough after having them for just 5 or so days, but I also don't want to plan on lifting something ridiculous with each arm. I am 6ft 3 and 95kg/210lb/15st, so how heavy a weight should I aim for in order to get a nice strong set of biceps? I am guessing that I will need to be able to lift more in order to get the same visual result. Is 10kg a bit pathetic or should I be taking it easy? What do people actually go up to before they stop increasing the weight? How many repetitions? Should I be doing a heavier weight for less repetitions or a smaller weight for more? I suppose after 5 days, my arms look pretty similar to how they were already, but they feel very solid, so I am guessing that the muscle has just replaced whatever fat was there. Normal looking arms..
