  1. for the record: Props on Bjork. She's one of the best songwriters in the world, easily. Brilliant mind...
  2. lovin the dehaired look dude. Suits you.
  3. I don't always agree with bard's tastes in music, but his conduct in lambasting young miscreants within this thread are, generally, spot on. One day, you'll look back on your record collection of today and pretend 'music came late' in your life to girls you meet in bars. Or boys. You know, whoever you wanna engage in gland to gland combat with. My point stands.
  4. that video basically wins on the grounds of a bank safe being bust open with a power chord.
  5. Toto are a fucking amazing band. Their earlier output, however, far surpasses Aftrica. In Particular, Hold The Line and it's bedfellows on their self titled effort. oh yeah, and what's with nobody giving props to electro granddaddies Gary Numan and Kraftwerk? for shame!
  6. It really is. the texture and depth of their music just..it just boggles the mind, but does so without ending up sounding mechanical or too confusing. Truly, one of the best bands I've come across in years.
  7. High Five. I believe I ranted lyrical about these guys a bit back. Their album and Lp's melt the shit out of my face. Twice.
  8. no it couldn't. Drunks and drug abusers, along with fatties and general body abusers are bared from donor lists on the grounds of being unstable cretins who would waste their chance and deny someone clean a fresh start.
  9. For the record: Jackson's Off The Wall shits on Bad, and a good deal of Thriller to boot.
  10. but why? what's so precious about them? why should your corpse keep what a dying patient elsewhere desperately needs to survive? what's your rationale behind that?
  11. that's a strange restriction. surely it matters not if you have epilepsy with regards to blood? anyway, my theory is that my organs are for the taking should they help save a life. Frankly, I find the notion of refusing that chance an inhumanly callous thing to do. In some cases, you may as well be walking up to some poor kid and putting a bullet in their head.
  12. who knows, but you remember it perfectly, right? you probably told someone who didn't know about it, too. Will you rescue the girl, or play like one? ah, casual misogyny, how we miss you...
  13. Dizzee Rascal is so fuckin good it hurts. Listening to Showtime now for the first time in ages and it's brilliant.
  14. Final Fantasy can lick my wet nuts, basically.
  15. wooooooaaah! what the fuck!? NO! Sorry, but your just plain wrong.
  16. I think their best track has to be 'She's Gone'. It might have been from '74, but it's utterly amazing stuff. Perfect world weary sing along material. That or 'Sara Smile'. Man, seeing them live was like...the highpoint of my life. I'd argue them as technically being a 70's band, with Curtis' suicide coming in, I think, 1980. All their material was written before then, and certainly came before the 'Miami Vice' Americanism associated with synth pop et al. oh, and they're not that depressing. Only people who don't really listen to them say that with conviction.
  17. Most stuff by Hall and Oats rocks my world. Also 70's, but there you go....
  18. we're not randomly opinionated though. Her music is bloody awful. Therin lies the reason to our opinion...
  19. Can someone clear up the reason men are called gay, and women lesbians? is there something I'm missing?

    Some news

see you on the other side, jardon.
  21. For the record: Infernal Affairs is better.
  22. thing is: why bother with Hole when you could smack on some Soundgarden and air-bass to Spoonman?
  23. didn't they do that in M:I:III?
