  4. ...I see what you did there :awesome:
  5. There are no games I played as a kid and loved them to now hating them, it's the series I once loved that modern day versions of that are so utter crap that hell would consist of just playing those games straight for eternity...Hell could never get any worst then that.
  6. BESTEST NEWS EVAR!!! I just caught up with a friend and we just had an awesome afternoon catching up, anyway, he just moved to another place and doesn't have any room where he is living now for his weight sets...so what does he do? HE GIVES THEM TOO ME FOR FREE!!! AND IT HAS FUCKING GOT EVERYTHING I NEED!!!! I can not wait to pick them up xD Best friend ever confirmed xD
  7. What Alien Vs Predators Requiem did to me was oh so cruel...the trailer showed so much promise...
  8. Indeed, although most JRPG's now have a skip button now which is easily one of the best things to have happened.
  9. I lose count when I am playing Funny enough, I went and played a game of squash on Thursday against an old boss of mine, who has been playing this game for years while I have had very little to none playing this game Got my ass kicked But I really liked the game, I am hoping to spend more time playing it, perhaps even try for once a week now Oh and I have been cleaning the house, I really should be doing my homework instead, first bloody homework I have had for 2 years
  10. Indeed, the OST was already perfect, but I still don't mind the music from this game, if anything I am just really happy to see so many people so dedicated into wanting to remix music from their childhood Speaking of dedication...
  11. Another must buy for me, I am craving for a game with a lot of freedom in it, and this game looks sooo good. (To bad it got delayed to May )
  12. 2 of these. Need more weights for my bench press...too easy with what I have now. and I had to go grocery shopping, ran out of my fuel lots...and lots of oats aaaand one of the only high school manga I can really put up with Shit is too awesome : peace:
  13. Decided to stop playing this game now, I really don't see the point...as a matter of fact, just like a terrible book I read in my old english class that makes me from stop reading for a bit, FFXIII has now made me stop playing games for a while...I think I need it too to be honest. So I am leaving this thread for now...so now you can all gloat about how awesome the game is while ignoring the flaws of the game I still enjoyed the game, I found it...average, which is never a bad thing. So I agree with Edges's score, it does deserve a 5, it's a game for casuals and hardcore RPG fans. the characters are very meh and average, the story is very predictable and very simple (Perhaps on the trying too hard to make something sound really complex when it's not). music is dull and boring, and the lyrics on the chocobo song sucks donkey balls...if it should have lyrics it should have this song. May as well put in what I would love in a Final Fantasy game while I am here. No Nomura Move him over to the Kingdom Hearts series or something for a while, I wouldn't mind seeing a Final Fantasy game have no Nomura artwork for once. Yoshitaka Amano style should be created into the game for once in full glorious HD/SD whatever 3D anyway. I would love to see his style be truly be created into the game if anything he truly creates the best artwork when it comes to a fantasy style, heck make it cel-shaded or something, just bring his artwork to life. No Kitase team. Have a fresh new team with perhaps Yasunori Mitsuda as the composer and Masato Kato as the writer for the game. It would feel fresh yet to magical in a fantasy way, those two guys know what they can do. No FMV's/CGI (Whatever you call it, but you know what I am talking about) It's so 1998, I would love to see everything in-game for all cutscene. Wait, I take that back, only the opening should really have it and the reast be in-game. Would be awesome to see an intro as epic as this. A WORLD TO EXPLORE!!! Yeah, I want to see a world (Perhaps even one country) in a style kind of like Zelda or Dragon Quest, everything is the same size. No big guy and a town for midgets world map. Make the story interesting Only 2 games have ever made me think, Chrono Cross and Baten Kaitos Origins, you may have good intentions, but it makes you sometimes wonder if you are doing the right thing, both of these games even go to the lengths of asking you if you truly are the good guy or the bad guy, shit like this makes me more amazed then dull boring characters saving the world. I want games to feel mature, none of the modern day final fantasy games have grasped that maturity. I guess what I want is something magical, the magic to Final Fantasy for me is really dying in the modern ones. This post ain't trying to have a go at any modern Final Fantasy games, but where is the magic in the games I once knew and loved? That's why I loved the older Final Fantasy so much was because of the magic that it was able to produce within the game, but now...it just feels dull...boring, it's not because the older games were old school, if they were set in the future I would still love them dearly. The modern Final Fantasy games feel like it has no soul within the games. Well, thats all I have to say, you can nit-pick everything I said there and say how I am wrong and so fourth, but I don't care now. I ain't going to come to this thread anymore since I have no reason too. (Until I decide to play FFXIII again and who knows when thats going to happen) byez
  14. It has appeared! OCReMix presents - Donkey Kong Country 2: Serious Monkey Business! Torrent http://dkc2.ocremix.org/index.html Zip/rar http://dkc2.ocremix.org/music.html
  15. Well, I have got the game now decided to ditch the dull boring FFXIII for a while, Pokemon Soul Silver so far is an awesome game, feels really smooth (I only have Pearl version) But it's really good, first time I have played the silver/gold version so I have been really looking forward to it ^^
  16. Yes everyone on here represent the whole 2 million people that have bought the game. I agree so much now, I see the evidence everywhere. Ignore all the people who don't like the game, they haven't played it the right way it should. These would be friends who own a game store, friends who have loved RPG's their whole life, friends who have good taste in games, one loves FFVII the most, another loves FFIX the most, another loves Secret of Mana the most and another who thinks Mass Effect is the greatest gift from God. And another loves Chrono Trigger. All these people have thought and asked why a FF like this is well...boring.(Oh and we are all hyped for Monster Hunter 3 and Red Dead Redemption as well) On this thread yes, But hey, people go dissing the Wii for things that people love about it, may as well put my thoughts on a game I BOUGHT with my own money. I have a right to say what I think of all these games, I wasted hours of my life on these...games. Why can I not state something about the negative aspect of this game? Oh that's right, it's Final Fantasy, EVERY FINAL FANTASY IS GOOD BECAUSE IT HAS A NUMBER AT THE END OMG!!! Seriously, the Final Fantasy series is now becoming something like the Sonic series, those really shitty games that fanboys just say are good and excellent, but in fact they are games that should not even get a 1/10 because they suck so much...yep, FF is now becoming like that. Ugh...where do I start... Baten Kaitos Origins Sakura Wars series Ys series Xenosaga Tales Of series Persona Chrono Cross Your argument is flawed, just like the story in FFVIII All these games I have just mentioned above have great stories fantastic worlds, fun to play and are nothing like the Dragon Quest series and Tactics games. I ain't fussy and I am satisfied when a good game is out, FFXIII is starting to get boring, I don't mind linear games even in RPG's but going through one battle after another with the same enemy design is such a chore, and playing games that are like a chore put a great negative to how I think of a game. I love modern JRPG's, other then the Dragon Quest series and Tactics games It's just that the Final Fantasy games like VIII, X and XIII can't even come close enough to being as good as these games I have high standards for good games, FF series does not make it (Wait I should take that back, FFXI and XII are good games) But those are shit, just because games that come out around the same time are shit does not mean a game like FF series can get away from being crap. I am not even going to bother with this statement, I feel like my IQ went down by a lot...need to play some chess now to see if I can get them back. I have yet to finish the game sadly since I have been working. I should have it done by this weekend so I can happily give out on what I really think (I still pray that the big world people are talking about is good)
  17. The game is indeed slow, and thanks to that makes it one of the weaker games of the series (But thats like saying there is a tiny bit of dirt on a piece of gold compared to the rest ) In reality you could complete this game in about 50-60 hours, but because of the slow loading and such it will take you about 70-80 hours to complete (Ain't kidding either) Like I said before, the Jap version is still better for the simple fact it has the old school pop up menu. Yeah the remakes of all Dragon Quest games are always nerfed and made easier compared to the original, I still have nightmares of the fights I had to go through in DQII, DQVI and DQVII Focus on Heroes spear until you reach...think it was may rain thrust (I can't remember, will in a couple of weeks ) Once you have that work on the sword. Na, he is doing something wise, he is drinking some shit (FFX) and then gets rid of the taste by drinking a can of Pepsi (DQVIII)
  18.           Please, at least Twilight Princess had a game that was playable that had awesome characters in it, final Fantasy X is the complete opposite
  19. Is this game going to get any better? I am not trying to sound negative, but I am 20 hours in on the 3rd disk and now I am starting to get bored with this game. Enemies are the same old same old with minor name changes to make them stronger or weaker...whatever. So far I still think this game is better then FFVIII and FFX easily, but I can easily just see myself returning this game and getting it cheaper when the time comes. Everyone on this forum, not everyone in the whole world, I have already spoken to at least 10 of my friends who just find the game...boring. I admit I thought it was going to be terrible, but what do you expect when it's made by the same people who have made the shittiest FF games out there. But more to the fact, I find this game rather...average, which is a shock to my system coming from this team. But it's not 'THE GREATEST EVAR' as a matter of fact it's a long way of being Great...it's just...average. I still think for a game like this it's a joke it took so long to make.
  20. I didn't mind his constant moaning, it was his imagination and how sometimes half of the entire clip wasn't about the game at all, but just him acting as some retard, dragged on for faaaaaaaar too long. Other then that he was spot on. and YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I really wanted him to do FFX, since I think he hates FFX more then FFVIII which is of course a true statement
  21. Yeah thats what I heard when I saw the feedback from people who have imported the Jap version saying how there are improvements right away in the game, one of them being the auto run. Pleasing to know
  22. Well all the other important home console games that Sakaguchi has been making when with Mistwalkers have all been done by Uematsu...but I thought Uematsu had his hands busy with FFXV
  23. Website is now updated with new music and artwork...IT BEGINS!!!! Some info I found on Neogaf the director and producer talk about Ruri Island, which is the setting for the game. The director talks about how the continent is surrounded by mountain ranges and the only accessible point being that island port. As such it is heavily fortified and a major point of defense. It sounds like the ruler of the island carries certain ambitions and seeks magic as a resource to rise in power. Somehow even though the entire empire is suffering poverty and decay, the town of Ruri remains prosperous. It's implied that the source of the town's wealth is related to magic, and there's a strange power in it which begins to attract monsters towards it, and the fate of the island is soon to be changed forever. The world of The Last Story is supposed to be one where metal resources are scarce, and Sakaguchi is trying to limit the amount of sci-fi influence on the world setting, and he wants players to be able to enjoy a smooth experience of exploring around Ruri Island, a place bathed in the abundance of radiant sunlight. HYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYPE :bouncy: :bouncy: :bouncy: :bouncy: :bouncy: :bouncy: :bouncy:
  24. There are times when the noises and the actions are not correct, but the better translation on the PSP version makes up for it easily. I highly suggest to get the game still.
