When someone needs to write what I have on paper I always say 'just copy and paste it' At a door, and rather knocking I give my friend a call to see if he's inside. When answering a phone call and it's for someone else who is not at my house, I go to notepad and type in the information for them rather then getting a pen and paper.

Man with all these trailers and the sound of it being truly one of the greatest pieces of work (Monolith has yet to let me down in story telling) I feel like just going back through all their games again, Chrono Cross, Xenogears, Xenosaga I+III, Baten Kaitos/Origins gaaaaah so much epicness in all of those games xD

Yes yes yes yes all over my face, finally a post that truly understands that FFVIII is a game not for the story, but for the gameplay. Heck I know a lot of fans of FFVIII who think the story in the game truly sucks, but they still have it as their favorite game of the FF series...why? Because of how they can do shit like get through the game on the same level as they did from the start, go through the game without using GF, without using magic, without using weapons etc etc...Which truly I don't mind at all, they are obviously playing FFVIII for the right reasons, and telling me that they know that the story is a complete joke and a plot hole ahoy gives me relief. Who knows, to me, the Square side of the company seem to be run by monkeys now, who have no idea how to write a good story. I love it how you think the moment someone says 'Teh story sucks!!!' you instantly use the 'You just don't understand it durr' defense and that quote McMad put up, the man obviously knows what he is talking about. Isn't it about Squall growing? Isn't it about him being a man who doesn't care to someone who cares? A personal adventure you could say the whole game was about. It was all about Rinoa being the key to making Squall become more of a man who understands the meaning of love and friendship? Shit, you kept talking about Squall this and Squall that through all arguments, and people get it, yet even then we still say the 'story itself is flawed' Squall isn't flawed, as a matter of fact he is what the writers focused more on then anything else, only halfway through development did they realize they had to make a world and a story for him to be in was what made it such a fucking mess. Seriously, if they spent like another half a year just working on the story/world around Squall and Rinoa, it could have been something truly awesome.

For me it's the other way around, I now have Monster Hunter on a Nintendo console, Dragon Quest is back to the home it was in through 6 installments and I am about to get a sequel to the greatest 3D platformer game I have ever played, getting a HOME CONSOLE 2D metroid game!!! A game made by the original creator of Final Fantasy, and a game from the same people that made Baten Kaitos Origin, which is still for me easily the best RPG out there. I could also talk about the games that are out now. But I could go on with that I really don't know what it is people expect from Nintendo really, so they now go for the casual audience, good for them, at least they are keeping my needs on the Wii and DS. But oh, for me to say that I must be some blind fanboy of Nintendo's. Ignore the fact I have a PS2, PSP and a 360.

Perhaps I just need to train a bit more, I just bought it last night and was kind of tired so wasn't thinking straight, will just get used to the game first and then get right into it

Ok, I am going to say this once, and only once (perhaps twice) ....Please, why does this always happen? Why is it in mostly every fucking fighting game, 8 characters you fight in the arcade mode are fuck easy and the last 2 or even the final boss is just a fucking little cheat!? Now I wouldn't mind this difficulty, but COME ON, at least make each fight a bit harder that you gradually know that you have to be better each round. This is something all fighting designers need to learn, so far this shit is in DOA4, Street Fighter 4 and now this.

I am gonna expect it's going to be Dragon Quest IX news, since I think the game is still being played with extra missions and side quests available each week online. So yeah sadly I don't see any Dragon Quest X news until next year >_> But lets hope I am wrong and it is this year. Beating God for the first time in Dragon Quest VII, I have still yet to get anything from him (I only can when I beat him under 20 turns)

I'll continue playing Monster Hunter 3, but just not as hardcore as I will for the first month Now Nintendo make sure you don't only do this for Monster Hunter 3 but for Dragon Quest IX as well >_>

He's a cool guy, he has gotten me into a lot of different types of games I would have just looked and left. I guess he must have misread the release date on the database Ah well, just glad, since this now gives me one month dedication to Monster Hunter 3 and then end of next month I will be consumed by Red Dead Redemption.

My life is complete once again. Part 1 Part 2

Well originally Baten Kaitos was going to be a one off thing, until Nintendo asked Monolith through Namco to make another one with their help of funding. Even though the game sold like shit, Nintendo bought them, so obviously they wanted them for the talent that was there. Square handled them like shit, same with Namco, lets hope Nintendo can treat them a lot better. Do not know But I would also love more of Baten Kaitos series. I am kind of surprised Nintendo didn't do a Zelda too Origins and make it a Wii release game. I think it would have sold a LOT more then it did. But ah well, perhaps for number 3 if they put it on the next system But it didn't do anything, there was still a bar waiting for it to fill before attacking, still had to choose commands all the time. If any battle system I loves it was FFXII, it felt fresh, I really had full control of the character and the customization for the team party was fantastic. Then I don't get it when you say the final fantasy games of the older ones, 4-6 were active but as you go into the magic section choosing magic there was no action but when out of it the enemies could always attack. I know FFI-III made you choose first and then went into a fighting faze.

Iwata is a big RPG nut, he loves them, heck they funded Baten Kaitos Origins, not Namco, hence why the translation is top notch and the voice acting is a million times better then what the first one is. I can understand that aspect, it is slow dull and boring. I don't know, 1-6 final fantasy games were awesome in terms of being super fast, no loading right into battle and out of the battle, it was fast when it was just a normal battle. Yeah understand that. There is Quick time action where even looking for a spell the monsters attacked. Or if a beginner could let you have time making thinking of what spell you wanted to use without being attacked...I thought you knew they were in the older final fantasy games. As much as they tried to make FFXIII battle system appealing, to me it was just a pile of shit with lots of flashy decoration put over it. Not once did I really feel like I was in control of the characters, all I had to do in that game was do auto-battle and the game would do it for me, not to mention the parigrom-ish whatever you call it shift. just change it when you were almost out of HP too heal yourself once done go back to attacking. I could mention the shitty AI of the characters in battle, but I would rather talk about that in the FFXIII thread.

You should get hired by game freaks and help design the game ....or are you?

Thats what I have been saying so long Perhaps more events or some shit thats unlocks when playing it on 3DS happen or something along the lines of that.

We already have Heart Gold and Soul Silver this year, one full on pokemon game is more then enough for the year.
