well damn. I wonder what Rocksteady are working on if that's true (i wish it was ninja turtles). Also I remember last year there was a rumour going around that the next game would be from the silver age batman era.

but part of the problem is that people don't even know the console is out, and I think part of that is down to zero promotion on tv . I mean, I guess they could just say "screw it, the games we have are not enough to sell this console, lets just stay quiet for the next six months" but i don't think anyone (retailers and Nintendo) would be happy with that. -

I've Still have not seen any commercials for the Wii U in the uk this year. The only time I have seen it mentioned on TV has been on a Netflix ad which quickly lists off all the support consoles right at the tail end. I understand that the original Wii U commercial was pulled for being misleading, but I would have assumed that they would have a replacement ad ready by now. Or at least an edited version the original commercial that comply with the advertising standards. -

Yeah Wii sports and Wii Sports resort were both great, I played both games pretty much all the way through the Wii's lifetime and still play them today. I was very surprised the Wii U didn't launch with a Wii Sports game of some kind. Although at the same time, as some already said, I'm not sure what the gamepad could bring to that series. -

Its still quite amazing that Nintendo have made a sequel to one of the best selling consoles of all time, a console that broke so many sales records and yet the response to the Wii U from people has been so apathetic. I feel like maybe some of the things Nintendo did/didn't do with the Wii has come back on them and has led to this reaction. More specifically the software droughts in the Wii's life between big releases. From a personal stand point I got sick of it and in the end picked up a 360 to tie me over between those big Nintendo games. I almost feel like Nintendo are unreliable when it comes to console support, you're at the mercy of their games only with almost zero third party software, so the stream of games isn't anywhere as consistent as it is for the other consoles. I also didn't like that they pretty much abandoned the Wii two years ago outside of skyward sword. -
This is still coming to Wiiware if anyone's interested: ^from the devs twitter

Its probably too soon but I'd love a port of Ocarina 3DS in HD. Also a remake of Mario 64 as Tapedeck mentioned.

yes all console releases have their own set of circumstances as to why they are selling/not selling so well. I'm still unsure what the Wii U's reason for its sales are. -

Also, take into consideration the huge price tag on the PS3 at the time. -
i still can't get over how amazing the OCR cover of Stickbrush Symphony is. Audio I'm quite fond of this version of the same song too: Audio

those happen to be the very two games that have the coins feature. I agree with you though, I'm not a fan of the coins in MK7. -
I remember reading in N64 magazine at the time that the speed chance thing was supposed to happen. Interesting, i always assumed this since my other games could handle music in 4 player mode, like Goldeneye, Starfox etc it was a glitch. Now that I think about it though, Diddy Kong racing also had no music in 3 or 4 player mode.

Awesome news! -
The US version of Mario Kart 64 didn't have music in multiplier if I remember correctly. Or at least it didn't in 4 player. Also the save glitch in Twilight princess in the cannon room: I was going to post this one. That damn glitch took everything from me. EVERYTHING. Also, the version with the removed blood was funny as they kept in the 'first blood' match option.

I would actually hate for Nintendo to stop making games like Wii Sports/fit, brain training, nintendogs etc. I like that Nintendo can make games like that too, along side their Mario Galaxy's and Zelda games. Right now I don't see anything on the Wii U that would attract the same kind of people that bought the Wii sports style games. Nintendoland just doesn't fit that group in my opinion. Or at least the way it looks doesn't. -

wow, Play.com and HMV, both places I buy most of my dvd's, games and stuff from are now closing. I'll be sad to see HMV croydon close down, that's been there since I was in school. I remember a lot of pop groups used to perform and sign stuff there in the 90's. But as many have said already, the pricing just seemed to get worse. I hope HMV can continue as an onine retailer rather then just completely disappear. Also: I thought this was funny:
