  2. lol yeah the whole game is surreal as far as its story goes.
  3. yeah picked this up in the steam summer sale too and played it non stop until I found everything; all masks weapons etc. The soundtrack is also amazing and available on steam so I picked that up as well. Same here. I actually found the knife to be one of the better weapons. I also can't aim those guns half of the time.
  4. I'm looking out for Farcry 3 and Tomb raider. I Picked up Hotline Miami yesterday, its awesome. This is very good advice.
  5. CVG have an interview with Rockstar about GTA V that went up this afternoon: Summary from Neogaf
  6. I had a listen to it this morning, its two hours long with most of the crew talking about Ryan and their favorite moments they shared with him over the years. It is heartbreaking at times as most of these guys knew him beyond Giantbomb, so its clear they didn't just lose a work colleague they've lost a close friend who has been a part of their lives for a very long time. He and Jeff were friends since the mid nineties for example. The last minute was brutal, when Vinny talks about how Ryan had changed his life and as a result will effect his sons life and his voice starts to crack. I just lost it. RIP and Thanks Ryan.
  7. WOW. I wasn't expected a 5 minute long gameplay trailer. I can't wait!
  8. This is such awful news. I am so utterly saddened to hear this. Ryan only got married last week too, which only adds to how upsetting this is. Rest in peace Ryan
  9. Nice article. I am sad to see these channels go. On a side note I hope someone somewhere managed to save the music from these channels. the news channel and some of the everybody votes channel pages had nice tunes which I guess are lost forever unless Nintendo release them.
  10. I think the best we'll get is Twin Snakes on the virtual console.
  11. understandable really. I've been installing every game I have on my 360 anyway so this won't be way different for me. What I find interesting is that they are calling the multiplayer side to the game "Grand theft Auto Online". It sounds like they have a lot more planned for it then they did with GTAV/EfLC. And those games already had a lot of options.
  12. Birthday time for me too. MK Wii came out around the same time in 2008. (Part of me still wants this game to get pushed forward though . I'd love a surprise announcement that its coming out this side of Christmas)
  13. yeah nice going MS. I think its awesome that a console that came out in 2005 still gets supported and still has games being released for it. Its also not surprising it overtook the Wii, as Nintendo pretty much abandoned it two years ago.
  14. Thanks for posting that. Whats wrong with giving Gamespot traffic?
  15. Quite amazed that they made this move so fast. I guess this online activation stuff wasn't so intrinsic to the Xbone One as they seem to suggest after all.
  16. I was really hoping that was what they had in store for the Wii U's 3D Mario game. Something with the gameplay of Mario 64: Dropping you in a 3D world to explore and run about in.
  17. I hope they tweak the ratio of how often it shows up.
  18. yeah it definitely wouldn't be an easy thing to pull off, making a platformer work online is supposedly a lot hard to pull off then a racing game like MK, but other developers have tackled the issue before and have come up with pretty good results. Of course there have has been some awful results too. I feel that having top notch connections is different issue here. I don't think we are anywhere close to a time where it can be assumed everyone has a decent internet connection, but that should not stop us from having online modes in games because a lot of us do have decent internet. There are things that can be done to minimize people with bad connections too, like a simple signal bar icon, like MKDS can help or they could do what they did with Mario Tennis Open on the 3DS and make online region locked. some people won't be happy with that but it would prevent situations where two people are just too far away from each other to have a decent online game.
  19. I'm not convinced it would be impossible to achieve a decent level of latency to make this game work online, based on the fact that other developers have already achieved it. I'm not suggesting that it would be easy and that it wouldn't take time to create a stable online mode, I'm saying its not impossible simply because there are games out there like Rachet A4O that demand just as much attention to latency then 3Dworld seems to need. I think if Nintendo really wanted this feature they could do it, but they don't see the value of having this mode in a Mario game so they won't.
  20. Yeah I think this is what it comes down to. Its not technical limitations, they just don't want it in this game, for some reason.
  21. yeah I remember when I had the first smash brothers I didn't know anything about the unlockable characters, so it made a nice surprise when I got them. With Brawl I spoiled it for myself by keeping up with every detail I could. By the time the game was released I knew the whole roster, all stages, all items, all features and had even listened to the games soundtrack already. I'm not doing that this time lol
