Ha wow, I never noticed that before! Funnily enough i also noticed a few things myself while watching it last night. Like Egon subtly letting Peter know how much to charge the Hotel for capturing Slimer: I think seeing it in the cinema made me pay more attention to the film then I normally do when I watch it. I agree with you about GBII, I would have loved to see that too. Quick thing about Real Ghostbusters: i missed out on that Time Life box set they released about ten years back and as you probably know, its out of print and stupidly expensive now when it shows up on ebay, but a company in Germany called Turbine Media acquired the German rights to release the show and put out the complete set on DVD and Bluray (although its DVD quality). Despite being a German set, the audio is in English, so I picked up box set 1 a couple of years ago: The packaging and the booklet that comes with it is all in German, but the episodes themselves have an english audio option. I found out that if you have an amazon account you can sign into the German Amazon site and order stuff just as normal, so I got it. I didn't get box set 2 as that is the episodes where they changed the voice actors for Peter and Janine etc, but I'm thinking to get the Bluray set just to have all the episodes at some point

Yeah, seeing it on the big screen yesterday was so awesome. It's something I've wanted to do since I was a kid Apparently certain screenings in America have a newly recorded introduction with Bill murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver and Annie potts introducing some of the alternative takes from the film that were recently found. I wish that had been shown here.

Yeah. Another thing was that ghost's will randomly just charge at you and there isn't you can actually do about it, since the doge move is too slow/unresponsive to be useful. Or at least that's how it was in the 2009 release. It'll be interesting if they add multiplayer to this. They've said they want to work on it from the ground up and make something new.

I remember the Cherub/Stone Angel enemies on the grave yard stage being particularly difficult on the hardest setting.

Same here, i plan to see it tomorrow. Easily my favorite movie of all time but I've never seen it in the cinema before, as I was too young when it came out. As I understand it, its going to be shown a few more times at the end of the month as well, closer to Halloween.

The game is out now: If anyone remembers back when this game original released back in 2009, there was some store exclusive pre-order DLC of the Ghostbusters 2 Flight Suit and a Gold Proton pack. They've put them in this remaster as unlockables for completing the game on Normal and Hard

I had honestly forgotten all about it until you mentioned it :x That Boo theme is pretty nice though, thanks for the heads up on it

For those who don't know, the game is available for pre-load on the eshop now. It installs at 6.8gb. On a side note, the US site for the game mentions that the game will have paid DLC although it looks like its for multiplayer modes only: https://luigismansion.nintendo.com/

I've never played Final Fantasy 7, but I love these polygonal figures shown off at TGS:

Yes, there is something very unnerving about the way they present this thing. The idea seems interesting though, I never had a problem with the Wii fit stuff in the past and I’m kinda glad they are making something new in the vein of those style of games.

There are three new bundles on the eshop where you can buy Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros or Splatoon 2 with a 12 month subscription to Nintendo Switch Online for a little cheaper then if you purchased them separately: Smash + NSO £68.99 (saving of £8.99) Mario Kart 8 + NSO £68.99 (saving of £12.49) Splatoon 2 + NSO £58.88 (saving of £8.99)

Playing Snes games in handheld mode just before going to sleep is quite addictive. I've found myself playing through a number of games already since last week; Ghouls'n Ghosts, Joe and Mac, Star Fox and now Super Mario World: Despite owning this game since it came out back in 1992 and playing through it probably 50 times in all these years, I never get tired of it. It just holds up so well and is just as enjoyable to play as it was nearly 30 years ago. I can never make my mind up on which 2D Mario game I like the best, but playing through it this time, i think it has to be SMW for me. One difference I noticed here is it shows a star on the file select screen when you complete every level in the game, which is different to my original copy of the game, which just changed the yellow numbers to blue once you get all 96. I thought that maybe that meant this was the newer version of SMW they released on the Mario All Stars combo cartridge that changed Luigi's design, but its not. So maybe these are the US roms on this service?

The QR code thing seems to have something to do with Nintendo events. If you go to your User settings on your profile page, select 'Display QR Code' and hit 'About checking in', it shows this message: "Present this QR Code at Select Nintendo events and locations to gain access to exclusive My Nintendo member benefits such as My Nintendo points and participation in promotions. The benefits will vary each time, and Further details will be provided before you check in." As for the alarm, I am assuming its just an alarm feature that allows you to set a reminder that pops up while you are playing a game, but being as none of the current software supports the feature at the moment, we can't find out yet.

New Firmware update rolled out last night. Ver. 9.0.0: There is also is an update to the joycons that you have to download manually in system settings. Main things for me are that it looks like we'll be able to send invites to play online now, which means the friends list actually has a purpose now. And there will be some kind of alarm option, which is handy for me since I seem to be losing track of time when I play SNES games. Although it seems that isn't active yet. Side note, no new avatars which is surprising. I was expecting some Astral Chain and/or Zelda Links Awakening avatars with this update lol

I honestly have no idea how anyone got through Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts back in the day. Thanks to that rewind feature I finished it but holy crap is that game just full of pure cheap nonsense at times. Also, I can't imagine how mad people got when they finished the game the first time and got this message:

That's good, I wonder if they'll just add it to the current roster of games or if it'll be a tiered service (pay slightly more if you want SNES games). Hopefully the former. I also wonder what the chances are of licensed titles ever coming to the service. Like turtles in time or batman returns.

Duck Tales is being removed from all digital stores in a couple of days: This is what I hate about Digital gaming. =/ On the plus side, they have put it on sale. It's £2.99 on Steam right now and £3.95 on the Wii U eshop.
