:awesome: Has to be! Either them or Smashing Pumpkins! Radiohead tried listening to them, really didnt get it (and how i tried, was getting told all summer that i had to see them when i was at V) Fatboy Slim would have to be the sound of the late 90s

I voted no by accident, weed should be legalized. There's no reason not to legalize weed, all those that want to smoke it do so regardless of it being illegal. Legalizing will allow weed to be regulated (less shite mixed in with it) and therefore reduce the ill effects it can have. Legalizing will make a lot of money for the government through taxes Its wont be made legal in order to keep the average Daily Mail reading voter happy. For some reason they get annoyed about the stupidest of things (most of which have no ill effect on there own lives)

This phone isnt that expensive, it will end up free on some tariffs when it comes out over here. Handset only, the O2 XDA Mini is £380, Nokia 9300 is £450 and Nokia N91 is £350. All of those can be had free on contract, so that $500 price tag will soon shrink once the network operators get a hold of it Oh, and Arab_Freak, this looks a lot better than the current bout of 'Smart' Phones. I've owned a few of them and they over promise and under deliver. The web browsing is usually poor even when using Opera and the bundled software is usually inefficient and hogs system resources (N91, at launch each program allocated itself a slice of RAM upon installation until the phone ran out and choked up). The hope some of us hold in the iPhone is that it delivers a smooth operating system 'out of the box'. Apple have the sort of reputation that says it probably will.

That will do nicely! Replace my N91 with an N95 now and then buy an iPhone on launch Its the mobile ive been waiting for! Its the PDA features and (hopefully) decent software that will make it a must buy. Nokia make a reasonable job of this sort of phone but the software is currently too unstable and user un-friendly

How to get DOS games working-rollercoaster tycoon.
McPhee replied to flameboy's topic in General Chit Chat
RCT1 wasnt a DOS game, it was released in 1999. It runs under Windows 98 or, with a patch, XP -
Gamestation have the best deals, but mostly in store only. Last time i was in the best deal they had was Xbox 360 Premium + extra wireless controller (official) + any 3 games + PGR3 all for £339.99! Also heard that you can get the same deal for £124.99 if Smackdown is one of those 3 games! Gamestations online deals: http://www.gamestation.co.uk/product.asp?id=xba0002 Cheap Xbox Live subscriptions: http://www.gamestation.co.uk/product.asp?id=xba0002 - £9.99 Look around for Live kits for the original Xbox, a lot of retailers are selling them cheap at the moment without realising they work for the 360 too (although i think they need to be activated on Xbox1) Dont use WiFi for connecting the Xbox to the net, its too unreliable for gaming. Try this instead: http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/110264/rb/24145821406 You need 2, so its still going to be £60 but its a much faster and simpler solution for a home network. Plug both into the mains, then connect one of them to your router and the other to the Xbox (via an Ethernet cable) If thats too expensive and you dont mind WiFi's drawbacks then try this for the official wifi dongle:

meh, just another reason not to use Vista... i smell a linux/os x install coming up shortly

And this means its fake? It most likely is, but its only a matter of time before someone hacks the Wii; if this guy didnt manage it them maybe the next one will...
-
Lets all bow down to the 'hardcore' music fan here Give him a pat on the back people! What's wrong with sourcing music from a lot of places? Why cant people only like bands they read about in NME? The have to hear about them from somewhere...

If ive understood what your saying correctly then you need an AV Receiver. Going to cost a fair whack, a decent low-end receiver is £250 (Denon 1930) and you'd probably want to replace those speakers at some point with a set that do the receiver justice (£200+)

seems i forgot a few when listing mine; Mystery Jets, Stone Sour and Dragonforce all made brilliant albums!
-
look for either a Black Gold or Hauppauge TV card. Both of those are good manufacturers, Black Gold are the best.
-
I liked the Wii episodes, just got to accept that they have hardly anything to do with Wii. It was a pretty good religious/anti-religious spoof episode
-
Really? Could have sworn it was this year?
-
V for Vendetta, theres been no competition this year. Bond was good, but not a patch on V. Same goes for X-Men 3, Borat, Superman, Pirates of the Carribean etc. A Scanner Darkly and Tenacious D: PoD look good too, not had a chance to see those yet
-
forgot about that album
-
forgot to name a few more: AWESOM-O - Possibly the funnyest thing ever! AFAIK its the only time we ever see Cartman get truely screwed over The Passion Of The Jew - Passion of the Christ themed episode, great ending (featuring Hitler/Cartman) Towlie - Pure class! "You wanna go get high?"
-
Hardly stiff competition, Wii vs Blu-Ray in a user friendly test. From what ive been hearing about BD players they're fiddly, overpriced and they underperform (compared to HD-DVD). Good to hear it got gadget of 2006 though

Couldnt narrow it down to 10, so heres a top 12: 1. Beck - The Information 2. Hundred Reasons - Kill Your Own 3. The Strokes - First Impressions Of Earth 4. The Vines - Vision Valley 5. My Chemical Romance - Welcome to the Black Parade 6. The Dears - Gang of Loosers 7. Gomez - How We Operate 8. Placebo - Meds 9. Snow Patrol - Eyes Open 10. The Automatic - Not Accepted Anywhere 11. Muse - Blackholes and Revelations 12. Be Your Own Pet - Be Your Own Pet The Information is without a doubt the best ablum released this year!

Scott Tenorman Must Die! Best episode ever, first time Cartman is actually evil
-
The problem is Microsoft werent counting on people hacking the drive to work on PCs, its added massively to the number of people buying them up! £130 for a HD-DVD drive is a bargain, and the only reasonably priced way to get High Defenition video at the moment.
-
Not stupid really, OLED doesnt produce any better picture quality. Its more geared towards portable functions
-
my local woolworths had 2 in at about 3pm today lol decided against buying one, im waiting until the PS3 launch with the theory that stores will make decent Wii bundles around then. They are doing it for Xbox 360 now: Gamestation has an Xbox 360 bundle with Premium Console, Rainbow 6: Vegas, PGR3, Extra Wireless controller, Live Arcade and Battery Pack all for £300!
