Turok in September?
-
Justify to myself. I can afford it but ive got enough games to play at the moment and that £50 + Games would be better saved for when i need it The PS2 will be down in price again before too long and if im bored i might pick one up
-
If i hadnt just bought a 360 i'd be buying one of these. Cant really justify buying 2 consoles in a month
-
Makro advertise their prices before VAT, dump another £35 on that price and you're there Depends if you wanted those games but copies of Smackdown/Tomb Raider go for just over £15 second hand in trading forums/ebay, wireless controlers can be had new from one shop (think its Choices) for £27 and PGR3 and Live Arcade can be bought new for abought £20
-
no floppy drive, cheers for the idea though Really messed things up after i wrote this last night. Formatted all my drives and now my Acer 'Restore' disk wont do anything, just says 'not enough space on the drive' everytime i put it in! Given up trying to get Windows to reinstall now, put Linux back on Just got to figure out how to get my wireless card to work and im sorted. Dont use the computer for much more than web browsing these days anyway so Sabayon will do me until i can afford a new copy of Windows

New if i bought a 360 the prices would start falling :p http://www.play.com/Games/Xbox360/HP/3-/719721/Xbox_360_Core_Console/Product.html Play.com now do the Core for £150! Premiums can be found for around £250. Lowest ive heard about is £230 but at Makro (members only place) Does anyone have an excuse not to buy one now? MS just need to give in and start bundling Memory Cards into the core...

Anyone got any ideas on how to remove the GRUB bootloader without a WinXP disk? I deleted Linux and got left with a bootloader that cant see Windows so until i can swap GRUB for the XP bootloader i have no computer Google searches just come up with 'insert you're XP disk, the hit R and type FDisk' or some rubbish like that but i dont have a proper XP disk (just an ACER one that doesnt include that function)

Exactly, it is carnage lol! Teamwork in those games does happen though, its just defined by 'everybody beat on point A' rather than 'bob, you go A. im going b'. It does work surprisingly well! You also get a good sense of you're flanks being secure if theres 20 men to either side of you. In small games on the other hand you're flank could be down to 1 guy, him dying to a sniper isnt a great deal of warning (if the sniper is any good its probably about 2 seconds warning tops)

I wasnt specifically on about Gears, i just find it weird that the 360 doesnt go over the 32 player barrier. Its perfectly suited for an online war epic with massive maps and teams so big they could be mistaken for a small army

Xbox 360 - Jan 2007 Wii - Bought Jan 2007, sold Jan 2007. IMO not worth £180 yet, buying a new one when Smash Bros/Fire Emblem is released in the UK The PS3 looks like a nice bit of kit but i wont be buying one any time soon for the same reason i sold the Wii; i like my consoles with back catalogues and crammed release lists :p

argh! im out of maple syrup!

Only 4v4? I miss PC gaming If Joint Ops managed 150 (i.e. 75v75) 3 years ago then surely the 360 can do more than 4v4?!?!
-
Thats good. I'd heard it was a bit crap solo and i cant play the whole game split screen
-
I play Wii and DS, i dont care about how a game looks and... HANG ON A MINUTE! WHAT THE FUCK HAVE RARE DONE TO BANJO! IM GONNA KILL THEM! BASTARDS!
-
Yes, you can and no, they dont Away to order Gears now, quick question first though: Is there online co-op?
-
Made me feel bad Just eaten the monster pancake i made; American style, 3cm deep and 30cm in diameter, filled with melted cheddar cheese and covered in Mayo!
-
Got a bit of a dilema at the moment, want a new 360 game but need to choose between: Gears of War (£32.99) Rainbow 6: Vegas (£26.99) Crackdown (£33.29) Viva Pinatta + Perfect Dark Zero (2 for £40) Viva Pinatta (£24.99) Very little to choose between all of them price wise so which do people find themselves playing more?
-
yer a GOD! i'd forgotten all about it, time for a second lunch i guess... P.S. Yup, im one of those savoury freaks
-
Piss on it? Any Router/Wireless Bridge/Gaming Adaptor will do the trick as long as it plugs into the Ethernet port.
-
was away to post that lol its not all bad though, at least with SvsR you can get the Diva loading screens Is PDZ any good? Thinking about buying it now after the news about the Halo 3 beta. I need an FPS!

http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48836 PC World: Get Live for £27.99 if you buy any game (that thread just lists the ones that are a good price). Can collect at store too! Gonna sound surprising but im finding Smackdown vs Raw to be the most fun game ive got. It has its problems (mostly with broken menus) but theres a good fighting game in there. Can pick it up quite cheap (£15-£20) on eBay or over on the AV Forums trading board too!
-
REALLY! REALLY! cant wait for TF2! That game is going to take over Live! Are all these games coming on the one disk? Seem to remember reading something about a HL2 360 pack
-
You could get a 360 + a decent back catalogue of games for the price of the PS3. Thats the argument done, right there. For example: 360 Premium + Extra Wireless Controller + Smackdown vs Raw 2007 + PGR3 + Live Arcade - £300 (GAME) Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter + The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - £40 (Argos) Viva Pinata + Perfect Dark Zero - £40 (Argos) Live Vision Camera with 12-Month Live Subscription - £45 (HMV, with voucher) Total: £425 - The same price as the PS3 Console on its own! And for that you get 7 games, 2 controllers, the web-cam and around 15 months of Xbox Live (the console + some games include 1 month vouchers). The Argos games are just 4 from their 2 for £40 deal: http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44423

I ordered a CD in November thats still on 'Special Order' Wonder if it will ever turn up...

Not necessarily. I think things will go a little different this time around. With the Wii we can expect similar behaviour to the DS, a lot of units sold but most owners only buy one or 2 titles a year. This reduces the amount of high budget titles that publishers will make for a system. The Wii will most likely see quickly produced games with lots of mass-market appeal whereas the Xbox 360 and PS3 will get their usual round of high-budget epics.
