Apparently Disgaea isn't a launch game. Lamelamelame.

This game is so unfortunate. It could have been cool, and the atmosphere is fairly reminiscent of the first RE, but it got fucked by the 3DS' GPU and god awful circle pad which makes the skillshots that actually define the Resident Evil combat, impossible. There is also nothing that looks so pathetic as the little puddle of tomato ketchup that the enemies dissolve into when you kill them.

It is a very poorly designed shooter for 2011.

There are myriad reasons why 2 was better than the first game; 1. It was faster, which was good simply because a lot of the game relies on prediction. 2. Lengthier combo strings, more of them, and the ability to switch up starts and ends to the combo chains (especially for Maxi) allowed you to condition the opposing character to expect one move string, and recieve another, being caught off guard. 3. At the time, it looked gorgeous, and the framerate was more stable than the first game. There are more, but I can't think atm.

New album is great.

Happy bday sexy

Yeah he is, I've seen screenshots of him in his standard backdoor bandit Elvis suit. He's actually my main, so hope he's better than in the SC4 version.

Virtua Fighter 4 is a total no brainer for best 3D fighter, until VF5 came out, there is so much in there that you're not even going to be vaguely competent or even functional unless you sit down and literally construct a register of moves that works for you and then practice the shit out of the inputs until they feel as everyday as the deathgrip of your wanking hand feels around your tiny, flaccid member. For every action, there is a response in that game, which is why it's so amazing/ ridiculously difficult. Actually, I hear that there's a live arcade version of VF5, which will hopefully create a decent influx of new players, so that I don't have to get my arse kicked repeatedly by the idiot savants that've been poopsocking that game since day 1.

Pretty much true, but I feel pretty strongly that the second game is the best in the series from a technical standpoint, and this is coming from someone who is pretty hardcore about fighters. I'm pretty excited about SC5 after reading the EDGE review though; attack pace has been increased, they've introduced the equivalent of Street Fighter's special attacks (dependant on gauges) which, if they can be seamlessly tied to the end of combos, will obviously be a great way to introduce a finisher to your moves, and finally, that they've expanded the move list for every character by some margin, which is great because it felt pretty damn meagre in the last game, especially for a series that relies on pre-baked combos.

I bought that shit full price, and then returned it two days later. Trust me, it isn't better.

Once again, in the stuff that seeps from your typing fingers lies entire galaxies of bullshit.

I know right? Yet the Wii fanboys were totally going wild over that shit. It's pathetic.

Same here man. This week has pretty much been the first time I've given Soul Calibur IV a proper go, hilarious since I bought it the week it came out. I don't know why I didn't take to it the first time around, but I just discovered Nightmare has some incredible moves, compared to SC2, so I'm rollin with that for now. Kinda been playing far too many fighters, it's a little sad. I've been playing a hell of a lot of Street Fighter 3 Online Edition too, which is as good as it gets.

Played the demos for both The Darkness 2 and Syndicate (co-op) today, and by god those are two games I will purchase. The Darkness was a given since I really loved the first game, and even though it's Digital Extremes working on it rather than Starbreeze, it is going to be pretty fantastic, and it plays pretty well even though I'm interested in it from more of a story perspective. Syndicate on the other hand, by god, it feels mechanically great, although the shooting functions are ripped from Crysis 2, it still looks to have enough of it's own quirks to make it interesting. Funnily enough, it's being developed by Starbreeze

That's good to know, since I was really going on just the 360 price models (of course, Steam is an example of digital distribution where prices do actually fluctuate, but I somehow doubt Sony are going to try and emulate Valve's more generous pricing structures...) Also: there's pretty much no reason to buy the 3G, since online multiplayer is disabled (unless the game you're playing is turn based), and there's a 20mb limitation on downloads, reducing it's utility quite a bit for most gamers. I also think that they'll probably release a 4G model at some point, since those networks are in the pipeline now.

Rooting aroung online, it appears that the price difference between PSN and Retail releases is going to be a pretty meagre £5, which no doubt is a difference which will decrease over time when retailers decide to drop the price. I don't actually understand what the thing is with digital distribution on consoles keeping the price the same over the course of the products life span. It's absurd. Anyway, not gonna be able to afford this when it comes out =(, but will hopefully pick one up around May, when the launch games are also a little cheaper.

What are you selling? Ebay or you could try the Private Trades/ Bargain Board. Who knows, maybe someone will buy it at a high price. -
20 minutes is about 2/3 of my entire run man, but then I'm not made for long distance. As for the aerobic/anaerobic stuff, trust homes, whenever I've tried a run before weights, it's cut my press by about 15 kg, and costs me a set here and there too. If you always run before you do weights, next time you go to the gym, don't run and try lifting heavier weights. Also, it's scientific fact, so stfu
-
Technically, you should probably be doing aerobic exercise after weights, since aerobic respiration naturally takes place after the fuel for anaerobic respiration has been depleted (and thus the body starts to use stores of long chain lipid molecules which are tougher to break down, and are by consequence a less immediate and intense source of energy). If you're already in aerobic mode by the time you get to weights, your body will be in a state where the fuel for shorter, more intense bursts of energy area is depleted. One of those rare cases where A Level Biology actually has a practical use

Welp, I need to get my shit straight. To be fair though, someone who works for Warp records sent that my way so I assumed he was correct. Either way, amazing amazing album.

I have to say, Guido's Anidea has to be an early contender for album of the year for me. Just inverts everything that has become so po faced about Dubstep and is instead so overtly sensual that I can't help but somehow feel transported into the world of the cover art; some sort of weird concatenation of extra terrestrial organisms and led lights. Fuck me, it's fucking sex.

Yeah Goafer, I want one of those. You got more on the line? (It looks like something out of Bioshock)

Manned up and went for a run at 5am this morning before breakfast, and my god, my lungs felt like they were functioning at about half their capacity. About twenty minutes in, I got this unbelievably irritating sensation near my diaphragm and felt the craving for a cigarette (and I don't smoke, other than socially). To boot, my ipod lost power half way through, so that kinda killed my buzz, but I powered through and made it back home. Gonna start doing this on a daily basis, I'm so badly unfit these days.
