met the corrs in belfast, they're a right laugh believe it or not!! well, they were once i stopped drooling over caroline (the drummer) hhhmmmmmm..... working in the train station i took eric la salle (ER) to first class on the enterprise train to dublin, chickened outta asking him for an autograph for a girl i knew as i didn't wana bother him on his hols, but i did talk briefly and said i enjoyed his work on the show... which i haven't watched since clooney left but anyhoo... met a few local northern irish celebs (for anyone that lives here that's pamela ballentine, "our" julian lol, that cookery lady jenny someone, and gerry kelly - who is the tallest man alive!!) oh, and again thru the railway i met samantha mumba... got the chance to tell her her train was cancelled lol!

24 is definitely better viewed on DVD, becomes an addiction then!! and i collect a lot of classic shows on dvd too (knight rider obviously, also a-team, airwolf, magnum) but i have to say i couldn't live without my sky. i would hardly say 10pm, with a few such repeats before the next week's show, is awkward scheduling for bones. love that show, the chemistry and humour is superb, david boreanaz is brilliant in it too! i watch battlestar religiously every tuesday night, though if i'm on a late shift and can't get it swapped i know there's always thursday, saturday or monday that i can watch it before the next episode - i just couldn't wait for the dvd :D even though i will buy it. and having a daily dose of two and a half men and spongebob is always a good thing

oh yeh that'll be real, he's got an amzing sense of humour, especially for taking the mickey outta himself! anyone seen the whose line is it anyway USA with him in it? bloody hilarious!! piece of useless info for ya's here: his singing career in the states coulda gone a completely different way if it weren't for a certain car chase!! he had some massive concert planned to begin his assault on the music scene over there, but the OJ simpson car chase was on tv live at exactly the same time! guess what everyone tuned in to watch and then when the viewing figures were released, the hoff got the rough end of the stick. damn shame coz yeh he can actually sing... and that version of that song is wwwaaayyy better than that awful delta/deltra/ally mcbeal whatever-you-call-her version! lol!
-
i forgot all about him! i have the first season and was SO glad that half way thru it changed to the theme we're all familiar with. so good! made by the same guy responsible for the a-team's theme, which if you notice has the same structure as magnum... how sad am i for noticing that!!

i can use it fine, i just hit refresh after posting, and have to check on posts iv replied to as the main pages aren't updating, but the actual threads are.

for heaven's sake people, stop writing off a whole magazine because of one little sentence underneath a picture in one issue!! nintendo probably hinted at this before but have changed their minds, simple as that! and if we were to ignore any news source that reported something major that ended up not being true we wouldn't be looking ANYWHERE for our news, as every medium, magazine, web site, tv show have all found themselve folly to it before, most of the time not through any fault of their own, they were simply reporting what they were told at the time! and ONM never even made a big deal of this, it was a caption underneath a photo, when i read it i believed it but if it ended up not true then so what(?), you gotta expect this at this stage, especially when the revo is being kept so secret. ONM is still the best source of official news.

Single player games requiring 2 controllers
knightendo replied to BlueStar's topic in Nintendo Gaming
about once every coupla months or so a few friends of mine (my mate emma and a coupla girls she works with, happily enough lol) come round for a "bongo" night. the drink flows and the place degenerates into hilarity!! thing is, apart from emma, the others don't play games but they love donkey konka, pac man vs and burnout 2's crash mode. nintendo (and the third-parties) did a great job in bringing in non-gamers with these titles and i can see a donkey konga appearing on the revo with an additional controller along with it, like we had with the bongo drums. imagining all of us playing these imaginary drums in mid-air creates quite a picture lol! -
i think the "weird" comment was meant as a joke, that's the way i read it, after all they did praise the original game. seems like rub rabbits just doesn't live up to its predecessor, it's been getting bad marks everywhere, damn shame as i was looking forward to it
-
ah yes airwolf season one's version though, it became too "plinky-plonky" by season three... my faves are definitely knight rider coz it's just a classic and sounds amazing on a tv with good bass! i like the new battlestar galactica's. the eerie orchestral music and lyrics followed by those pounding drums rock! and of course there's spongebob squarepants, simply for its stupidity

if you walk past the GCN stuff and turn left, there's an alcove with a display cabinet of all the consoles they sell, and to the left, on top of some Buzz boxes there was sat Yoshi and Mario wish i was going back sooner, the yoshi one is quite big and would rock sitting in my living room lol
-
lol, that's the one, they were lizards underneath. have to say, nearly all of its ideas have been stolen since it was first broadcast, stolen by both other shows and big movies! the two mini-series were absolutely superb and well worth hunting down on dvd... just ignore the weekly series however!
-
why don't they just introduce pepsi chicken flavour? most things in the world taste like chicken, it's only a matter of time...

been watching the "V" mini-series on sci-fi on friday nights and i have to say i'm loving it all over again! and thought it'd make for a good discussion... any other fans out there? i remember when it was first on in the early 80's it was the only night i was allowed up late (lol) and it was the ONLY programme on tv that brought the whole family together - myself, my brother, my three sisters, both my folks!! no other show has ever done that! yes, there was knight rider, baywatch, a-team etc but they were always on at dinner time so it was more coincidence that we were all there... V was through choice! with all this talk of nintendo crossing boundaries and bringing in people who don't like games, watching V reminds me that it was a sci-fi show that transceded boundaries too! no one in my family liked sci-fi apart from my brother and i but we were all addicted to V! the first two-part mini-series, and the Final Battle three-part mini-series rocked! originally intended to be about the holocaust the whole idea was changed to appeal to a broader audience and i think it was beautifully written and acted, with parallels to the holocaust hauntingly obvious and very believeable. such a shame that warners thought they'd milk the cash cow with the awful follow-up weekly show... but i'll ignore that

imagine a timesplitters multiplayer type game, two controllers equalling a gun in each hand... not necessarily the same gun either! and the movement of one controller is your forward/backwards/strafe, the other your turning. hmmm... -
nintendo have spent a fortune setting up nintendo WFC, it's been a roaring success to eclipse xbox live (given the time period) and have made partnerships with opera and others. can't see then chucking all that in the bin to partner with AOL, if that's what you mean. i for one hope they aren't thinking of this, nintendo wana revolutionize online play, why use someone else's already-established software?
-
animal crossing mmorpg... ddrrroooooooooollllllll.... the gadget show on five did state that nintendo have invested a large sum of money in developing MMORPG's for the "new" generation. and i can see pokemon being a very good possibility, bit silly not to!

the new team are so much better, they actually sound like they're proper journalists for a start. one little sentence and it's all been blown outta proportion, probably taking something ninty said outta context, so what? it's just human error, we all do it. the whole magazine was a terrific read, and let's face it when you scan about all over the internet look at how many "sources" people say they have about this-and-that for the revo! the magazine will be a better source of official information than scouring forums where people just say things like "i know someone in the biz, but i can't say who, and they say the revo is actually being developed between nintendo and nasa!!" i like revo-europe.com because it's a reliable source of information, and will report on it's main pages all official news AND rumours and speculation that is substantiated, the magazine is just doing the same. and the amount of time the "children" behind the old NOM would speculate wildly and present it as news was unbelievable!

i'm sure these days there's a mutual understanding between all the governments involved in such things. knowledge of all of our histories belongs to the world. it'd be a very boring place if we didn't share and to find out about the history of our cultures we had to travel around the world. not many of us could afford it for a start. and i for one think the history of egypt is wwwaaayyy more interesting than ours
-
i loved the magazine, and subscribed straight away. out of the whole thing, if that one wee sentence was wrong i don't really care to be honest! it was a brilliant read, and i think the internet will never take over from traditional reading material. can't wait to the 16th, NGC edge AND ONM
-
hehehe went into game today to see what was about, was close to buying BW but because it was still full price and i couldn't be bothered walking all the way down to the cash point i got spiderman 2 for a tenner... tho BW is definitely on the shopping list, looks bloody awesome, and the sequel sounds sweet! loved 2-player desert storm, this should be even better
-
go man go! yes people say it's the romance capital of the world etc etc etc., and yes i'm sure if i went there with a girl it would be, but even as just a sight-seeing trip it is truly awesome! can't wait to go back!
-
but not everyone can afford to travel that far. ancient history knowledge should be shared, and the artifacts are treated with such care and respected so much (you can see the awe in everyone's faces). it truly made the trip for me

my very very fave disney film (and one of the funniest films ever, cartoon or not) has gotta be the emperor's new groove. shame it didn't seem to get as much publicity as the others. i think adults really love this movie because the humour is so quick, and sarcastic. a superb cast and when i saw it in the cinema i never stopped laughing - was actually sore at one point :D lilo & stitch!! aw man, can't believe no one's mentioned it. saw it in the cinema too, didn't really know what to expect having only seen the hilarious teaser trailers (the ones where he invaded other disney movies lol!!! ) and was blown away at how fast the humour was too!
