Back to the Future Part 2 - ITV1 @ 5:25pm

love the jaws 19 bit lol. getting all scared shitless THEN trying to act all tough and saying "shark still looks fake" lol! anyone notice that jackass the movie was cut tonight too? why do they do this?! why spend money on a movie then chop it up? especially jackass! which is an 18 and shown at half ten! quick edit: just found this. starts off funny but the guy behind it seems to lose his way towards the end as the last half seems put together no where near as carefully as the first half, rather slapdash infact. but anyhoo, the initial joke idea is still funny... -
i'm all for ea supporting Wii if they actually use the controller. what their madden developers are doing sounds superb! but if NFS doesn't use the controller like they've said ("player fatigue"?! pfft! ain't stopping excite truck or EA's own madden, it's just laziness) then who would want to buy it when excite truck is out there, and NFS is available for the 360 or PS3? no one. which means poor sales for it. I remember some certain publishers #cough# midway #cough# stopped supporting the cube when they said that their games just didn't sell on the cube. they never stopped to think that maybe that was because GCN users weren't stupid enough to fork out for lazy PS2 ports. nice to see they've come around now, so let's hope they use the controller well! because what happens if they don't, like NFS, and as a result people buy the versions for other consoles instead. are midway and NFS' developers then gonna blame the Wii like they did the cube...?

nintendo promised us that by september we'd know everything about Wii. we all just assumed that'd mean some form of show IN september, but this makes more sense. patience is once again a virtue for the nintendo fan i guess...
-
Yeh but since the speaker wasn't revealed until E3 and the trailer has it in it, they're bound to have known the name. oh well...
-
wonder why its called "nintendo game machine" when the newer version of the remote is there with speaker et all, surely they'd have known it was called wii by then? anyhoo, doesn't matter, looks excellent! funny trailer too, the putting scene i mean lol

well, im still buying ONM every month as i dont see this as their fault, but rather people misreading what their intention was. the fact they said "it'll come eventually" never led me to believe we were getting new RE info now, but that it'd be later in the year. someone has simply misread, assumed, and its gotten outta hand. and their comment about they coulda put up any image was just making a point about how it's gotten carried away, that's all. ONM is still a fantastic read and iv subscribed and am loving every issue... now if only it'd arrive thru my letterbox since it's due!!

that is one of the best things i have ever seen in my life! absolutely amazing, stunning!! SO wallpapered!

so what if haze isn't coming over?! who cares?! free radical love the system, and if they devlop a unique game for it all the better. i don't care about all the psp games that don't get ds ports, i want my ds games unique, same with wii.

as my good friend andy has said: two words to put fear into xbox live "pokemon online"

i found trisha's post rather harsh! very doom-laden! and i disagreed with a lot, but each to their own. personally, i think the wii will not be confined to bedrooms, i feel the 360 might be though. also, nintendo could have thrown all their money into developing a machine like the 360 for example, with the graphics and sound et all, but the cube's less than spectacular (yet still successful) success got them thinking. the DS has proven what's possible, I don't believe it was a matter that Nintendo COULDN'T develop a machine with better graphics, they chose not not and instead devlop a unique machine that has a better chance against the competition.

true true. that'd be so funny, don't think i'd ever get tired of that

last film I watched: War Of The Worlds: The Resurrection Seen it before, but haven't in many years, it was the pilot movie for a tv series following on from the events of the 1953 movie spectacular! The aliens weren't killed by bacteria, but were instead forced into some kind of dead hybernation, their bodies basically just stopped. Accidental exposure to nuclear waste revives them and they head out, taking over human bodies and reviving more of their brethren, in search of their fighting machines. Those unstoppable machines were even impervious to an atom bomb in the original movie, so if the aliens themselves are now immune to our bacteria, just three of those ships could slowly destroy the world... Step in Harrison Blackwood (played by Jared Martin), an astrophysicist, Suzanne McCullough (Lynda Mason Green) a micro biologist, Norton Drake (a disabled computer genius) and Lt Col Paul Ironhorse (Richard Chaves) a Cherokee Indian Colonel and weapons specialist. Brought together one by one inside a well-written plot that truly feels like a well-planned sequel to the original, some actual suspence and "jump" moments of gore and surprise and this beautifully sets up the series with excellent characters and a genuine feeling of being on the brink of another war. The series was excellent too, but at the end of the first successful series its creator had a falling out with Paramount, who promptly sacked him from his own creation and brought in a new boss who destroyed it and turned it into a cheesy sci-fi show for its second year, killing off half the cast in its first episode! needless to say it was cancelled. The first year had everything, the start of a multi-year plot (before Babylon 5!), links back to other War Of The Worlds spin-offs (like the Orson Welles' radio broadcast really being a cover-up for an actual alien scouting mission), stories that spanned back a thousand years, even cameos from Ann Robinson from the original movie! The good guys also didn't win every week either, sometimes there was stalemate and sometimes we lost outright against the aliens! Programmes don't do that anymore Truly ahead of its time, it's even more frightening these days as the aliens operated and expanded on their terror cells throughout the world, its relevence today is even more profound, just like HG Wells' original novel is too. It was also superb at its moments of humour too, where IS its main writer and creator Greg Strangis these days??? I know his father (his fellow executive producer on this) is now co-executive producer on CSI:Miami. 10/10, best pilot movie I've ever seen!

a massive disappointment only once before have i walked out on a movie before it finished, that was "i still know what you did last summer", now cars too, about an hour in. i'm kinda depressed about it coz i was so looking forward to it too mater is funny, and the tractor-tipping scene was great, but i didn't even raise a smile at the rest of it, and usually with a good funny cartoon film i'm the one laughing the loudest lol, my laugh is uncontrollable when it hits right!! over the hedge was fantastic, this was awful... looking forward to the barnyard and hoodwinked though... and worth going to see the casino royale trailer on the big screen :D
