  1. These are just unbelievably tasty. Can't... stop... eating... them
  2. So one of my interests is fashion. I enjoy experimenting with clothes and different styles and think that these days, it's much more accessible to look good on a budget. The amount of high street shops that are selling pretty great garments at very cheap prices makes it easy enough to put a decent outfit together without breaking the bank. (Primark especially!) That's only if you want to / care enough to want to of course. I decided to make this thread as I haven't really seen many discussions on the type of clothes people like to wear / wish to wear but don't feel that they would suit them - and I'm pretty sure it's something we all consider or think about regularly. This may be because no one actually cares and thus the thread will disappear very quickly... ha, but I have seen a few people say what clothing they have bought in the 'What have you bought' thread - so thought why not see if we can get it all in here?! So, where do you guys and girls like to shop? Are you interested enough in fashion that, like me, you get excited for the upcoming Autumn / Winter collections mid summer?! Or are you just a jeans and t-shirt person who wears whatever is comfortable?! Do you sometimes wish you want to start wearing smarter / edgier clothes but feel too insecure to do it? Or would you like to upgrade your wardrobe but just don't know where to start?! Feel free to post where you like to shop - and if you are really brave - upload some pics of what you are wearing if you think you look particularly dapper on any given day!
  3. A download as I no longer have my original :( cry. An amazing album.
  4. If you have decent enough skin - you don't really need to worry / bother. I had really bad problem skin as a teenager and it's left me with some scarring and I've used a number of different things to try and help improve it. Clinique stuff is the only one that you literally can wake up the next day and see a difference. It's great.
  5. Yeah I've totally out gayed myself buying Clinique. Clinique is just the gayest of the gay. But check out how fabulous it makes me look. Makes me even GAYER
  6. Coz Clinique shit rules. And I need me some radiant glow.
  7. Shiny Rapidash looks like old horse Rapidash with it's grey flames!! I think I like it
  8. Major thread bump - and apologies. But I am currently replaying this as I wanted a Pokemon fix before B/W2. Anyways, I am just about to battle the Elite 4 before Kanto so have been levelling my Pokemon up to lv 50 in a patch of grass just before the Victory Road entrance. Been running through the grass and levelling up for about an hour (slowly ha) and I came across as shiny Ponyta!! It's beautiful Anyway - my question is - if this evolves does it stay shiny? Also, same with trading it. If I trade it over to my B/W2 and evolve it will it be shiny? Probably stupid silly questions - but just wanna make sure from those in the know. Thanks!
  9. Ahh I loved this story Captain. Could give or take your opinion on the games etc - but this I liked. I jest ha. Isn't it funny how you remember really random things like that though! But yeah back to the game -I do fully intend to play Tooie one day and am really looking forward to revisiting Banjo!
  10. Yeah I'm pretty much the same as you Retro. I bought the album so I could try and 'get her' a bit more myself. Ha. Like I said, I thought she had a lot of involvement in her music, but when I checked the writing credits in the album sleeve - Rita has like 1 or 2. Funniest thing is though - virtually all of her songs have a ton of writers for them! R.I.P has 9 writers?! Including Drake. 9?! WTF is that? Anyway, her album is total throw away pop. It's not what I expected really. R.I.P was edgy and as that was her first official 'solo' release, I thought it'd be more like that. Roc The Life is, hence my love for it ha, but the rest is just filler. It's surprising, but hey - that's modern day pop for you. Still worth a listen though!
  11. Me again. Coz there's just so much good music at the min! Bought the Noisettes new album on Monday. I am a huge fan. Their new album, 'Contact' is great. As good as their last? No. But still great - and Shingai's voice is stunning. Rita Ora's new album is pretty generic - with like no writing credits to her. I thought she wrote a lot of her own stuff but it seems not. Anyway, 'Roc The Life' is the star of her album. I love.
  12. Wow yeah. It must be so tough.
  13. Yeah I totally agree. I did try and tell myself this but it seems that my mum looks on it as a bad thing. She said 'if it's what you want'... That just pissed me off. It's not what I want - it's who I am for fuck sake. And I'm the same person I was yesterday before I even mentioned it - so what's the problem?! I said that in not those exact words - and if I'm fair things have got slightly better. She shown some interest in a guy I was seeing a while back, but it was more to make sure I wasn't gonna be murdered I think. Agree though Cube - it's definitely the generation thing in my case.
  14. I did the whole coming out thing and it wasn't the best experience if truth be told. My mum didn't like it - and still doesn't. I don't know why - I don't talk about it. I felt the need to say it because I was getting fairly serious with a guy at the time and in my eyes, it had always been known that I was gay by the people who know me properly - but obviously not. My sister was fine with it, but as I say my mum had the whole 'how do you know if you don't go and meet girls' thing. It was a bit upsetting really - and still is, as I honestly thought if anyone would have been ok with it, it would have been my mum. We're really close, so it's kinda difficult. I wanted her to know because as I say, I thought she'd have known and I was starting to go out a bit more on dates with the guy etc. I didn't want to lie to her with where I as going and I always want my parents to know where I am, so why wouldn't I tell them? Anyway, nothing has been said since about me being gay. My mum doesn't like it - and we just don't mention it. I personally hate the fact as if there's anyone I want to be comfortable with it, it's her. But hey, for some reason it's difficult for her. All my mates were cool with it. They try and set me up with other guys haha. It's great the lots of people are fine with other people being gay these days. I know there are still people who hate it and can't understand and think it's a 'choice' we're making, but it's the same with anything. Eventually when (and if!) I happen to meet someone who means enough to me that I want him to meet my family - the subject will have to be broached again... But given I am virtually a monk right now, that conversation is on hold...
  15. No Magnus. I can testify it does not. I'm saying no more.
  16. Well I was in the same boat. And people may think I look a complete tit given that I am always clean shaven. But this week at work i have been sporting the stubbled look and a few people have commented! And that's without the trimmer being used yet haha. Like I said though I only gave it a try coz I have had my hair cut really short (like shaved at the sides and long on top) whereas before I had lots of hair there! So it is kinda working so far providing I keep on top of my hair cuts... You say you don't know if it's gonna do what you want - can I ask what you want it to do?! I wanted some designer stubble - but haven't achieved it yet haha.
  17. TBH I thought I'd get more use out of it but my 'stubble' seems to have stopped growing haha. So nothing is shaving off unless I take the thing off that lets you choose the length haha. I expected to be bearded now dammnit! I haven't shaved in a week lol. But when it eventually does grow some more I can properly test it out ha.
  18. I made muffins! With home made buttercream - which I ran out of due to shovelling it in by the spoonful before I put it into the cakes... Just to make sure it was ok obvs... So there are 2 plain muffins... Anyway here's a pic! An after tea treat with a brew me thinks
  19. Quite excited for her album now. Really like this track.
  20. I absolutely loved this game - and still do. I think the stroke of genius was giving every world a different theme and changing the playability of them with Mumbo's transformations . I loved how the Jinjo's cried out when you were close to them and the comedy of the game was just brilliant. I also liked how the stuff Grunty used to shout out throughout the levels / hub area had to be remembered for the quiz part at the end. Genius. Sadly, I have never played Banjo Tooie but I do intend to one day what with it being available through XBLA. They just don't make em like this anymore :p
  21. Hmm it's an interesting discussion point. For me personally, I really hope they move away from the 3ds period with their next handheld. I do think Nintendo will stay with a 2 screen system as it brings some truly unique experiences to gameplay that you can't get anywhere else. Having said that, with mobile phones using touch based games now with a lot of success, and with the Wii U offering a second touch screen on a home console setting, Nintendo may feel that they can move away from the 2 screen handheld. It's an unlikely scenario for me, but you never know! I honestly believe that the 3DS XL is the last of the 3DS brand. The DS was / is my favourite console ever, and the 3DS has been nothing but a disappointment. There have been some great games, yes. But only 1 that has truly set the bar and that is SM3DL. I don't feel like the 3DS has been much of a progression from the DS even though we have better graphics, a bigger screen and analogue control. I really hope in the next few years we see a new style of handheld. As much as I love the DS and have had some fun with the 3DS, I think it's time for something new!
