  1. Delta news incoming! Album release date of 26th October (Australian release). 'Child of the Universe' is the album title. Third single to be lifted from the album is 'Wish You Were Here' - a song she wrote for her life long friend who died in an accident in 2009. There is a video for the song, but no official upload yet. Just one taken off an Australian news program where it got its debut: Beautiful song.
  2. I agree Retro. I played the first chapter of Chris's campaign earlier to see if it would give me a bit of hope - although after reading H-O-T's comments I was clutching at straws... - and I was right to be... It was as if someone had thrown Chris into a Call of Duty / Battlefield Bad Company game. Zombies... with weapons. Zombies that behave like humans, attacking you and shooting at you - but also with the ability to grow back arms like pincers... I mean this is just crazy Capcom! Absolutely crazy! I got through the chapter pretty quickly as the areas where it just kept spawning enemies I ran through. If one got in my way, hit the 'R' trigger to bash them out the way. The only time I had to stop was when tarantula type zombies (that are also humans that shoot at you... I know right...) were carrying hostages with them that had to be saved before you could progress to the next level. All it reminded me of is Spiderman. Those sections where hostages need rescuing and you find them and they're all 'Thanks!' - it was like that. Without the fun that Spider Man brought in comparison to this. I just have nothing good to say about it. It is shocking how bad this is. It feels like a spin off RE game. Not a main series release. I cannot believe that after finding glory with RE4 and then successfully incorporating some modern action into 5 (obvs not to everyones tastes but definitely worked for me), they go and turn the whole thing on it's head and try to make a full blown action game. It's really disappointing and Capcom have a lot to do to try and get this series back on track now. After Revelations on the 3DS too which I personally found to be a fantastic experience.
  3. So I just finished Leon's campaign. Torture is probably a good word to describe the experience. This is not a RE game. And it's not a good game (so far). I know most people already know it's not that great, but the reviews I have read were definitely right in saying that the game is suffering from an identity crisis. It doesn't know what type of game to be. But it doesn't do any genre it plays with particularly well. I found the whole story slightly cheesy but more importantly I found playing the game just a total chore. Several annoyances include the menu at the start to see if you want players from online to join your game - no I do not want this. Another major flaw was trying to make the game play like more of a third person action game. Leon did not handle well at all. Often his movements felt 'slippery' if that makes sense and the controls were no where near as tight as they were in 5. The end boss - good lord it was terrible. Just FUCKIN END ALREADY. On and on and on and on and on. Torture. You have to wonder if the developers even played the game. If they did they could not have been happy with that first campaign. I honestly could go on about the things I didn't like but I wont. Things I did like? Erm, not really sure. I honestly can't even be bothered starting the other 2 characters campaigns now. So so disappointing.
  4. Heh of course. No I'm good - just trade me over whatever you've got lying round! I am working some overtime tomorrow until 1 so will be available to transfer any time from 2 in the afternoon onwards til about midnight! Just let me know a time that works for you.
  5. Yay for Canand!! I do love the Pika console myself actually! :p
  6. So IGN loved the game: http://uk.ign.com/articles/2012/10/04/pokemon-black-version-2-review 9.6! I literally cannot wait for this!!
  7. I think you can play any you like first. I'll probably just pick as I play. I never played the demo - I didn't want it to put me off haha. I generally don't think much of demos for games like this. Too late for me now though - it's bought ha. I'll be sure to post comments as I play though for those who can't decide!
  8. I ordered this from ShopTo at the weekend after umming and ahhing haha. I intend to play it through with @Mike1988uk - and we both loved RE5. So even though this hasn't had as good reviews, the fact it's high points are something to behold do cross out the low points of lots of 'stand there shooting' sections. I hope so anyway - as this is my first home console game all year and probably my last before Wii U. So I hope I'm impressed!
  9. This song is just amazing. She is incredible. There is nothing but nothing like her or like this style at the minute and it's amazing. Shove your dance shit - get on this haha. I also LOVE this performance of Video Games below: I know people think she's rubbish live - but I disagree. She's just awkward and finding her way.
  10. I used to think that myself actually re Samsung. But last year my sister got a Samsung TV and it was very good quality. Pioneer I have heard of - they're meant to be the brand leader in terms of quality, right? Though I think it's more of an American brand than a UK one? I am still looking. Part of me doesn't know whether to take a chance with a 3d set and see if it has a positive impact in some way (doubt it, but I can't comment due to never having an experience of a 3d TV), or just stick to a solid standard set up as per Dcubed's option. EDIT - Oh and re Panasonic. My parents have a 47" plasma (or whatever size they are in the 40's ha) and that's years old now - but my word it offers a fantastic picture. So Panasonic are definitely a brand I would have no hesitation buying into.
  11. Ooh thanks @Dcubed ! I'll give that a butchers!
  12. I have been looking for about an hour or so at the different TV's on offer. I have seen 3 different sets that are around the same price range (£500 ish). They are 32 inch and all have 3d built in along with some other Smart TV features. http://www.techradar.com/reviews/audio-visual/televisions/plasma-and-lcd-tvs/panasonic-tx-l32et5b-1071496/review/page:1#articleContent http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/sony-bravia-kdl-32hx753bu-full-hd-32-led-3d-tv-12309605-pdt.html http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/samsung-series-6-ue32es6710-full-hd-32-led-3d-tv-12848064-pdt.html I have been looking at some reviews from tech websites and some of these TV's feature but others don't - which makes it difficult to know how it performs. For instance, a review of the Sony model says that it offers fantastic 3d performance (as well as 2d), but there is a worrying amount of input lag on fast paced games... And that is just not what I want haha. Shame really, as that set was looking very very promising until I read that. But it may well be one of those above. The Panasonic one has a great 2d picture and performs very well with Blu-Ray and console games (image wise), but it's 3d is not as strong as other models. Fair trade off though given I don't intend to use the 3d at all really. At least I don't think I will... I shall continue!
  13. Hey y'all. I know people do this thread a lot, and I thought about resurrecting an old one... but with how quickly the TV market tends to move I thought I'd just whack another one in here. Basically my current TV is not really doing it for me. It's a beast at 37'" (which in my small bedroom is huge) and although it's flat screen and HD ready with built in free sat etc - it's a very very basic set. It is a Sony and it was one of the first to include the freesat built in. As such it has no USB ports, it's really rather bulky, the motion blur when watching sports is horrific (even in HD) and it's feeling very dated. I have had it a good few years now - and I got it at an absolute bargain price of around £300? My mum and dad are having it off me for our spare room for a small fee (family rates an that haha), and I will put that toward the new one. Now the Wii U is round the corner (and I am going to be redecorating my room soon so it'll be going on the wall), I am looking at replacing the TV with something smaller. It's way too big for me to sit playing games in front of for lengthy periods of time. I have had a scout at TV's on the usual Currys, Argos etc but I am not getting anywhere. It seems like the bigger the TV the better the picture. Companies don't seem to want to put great specs in a smaller set - which is quite distressing to me ha. I may be wrong saying that, but it seems that only 32" up is where the real technology begins. I am so not into 3d - I haven't even really contemplated it. Would it be silly to just dismiss it? Also, I understand LED TV's are better quality than LCD. So what about this whole plasma business? Is plasma a good choice now? So many questions. Has anyone bought a TV recently that they're made up with and could recommend. Ideally 32" is the biggest, but preferably I'd love a 26-28 inch TV that is smart looking, has a razor sharp picture and great colour saturation. Not botherd about it having freesat / view due to it being hooked up to a SKY HD box. Any help would be lovely!
  14. Cheers Rez! And oh my word those look immense! American styl-ee! I think we need a N-Europe Come Dine With Me Or a dinner party. Bagsy doing the dessert!
  15. Thanks Eddie! I think that's kind of spot on - the 'simple' thing. I do like my baked goods to be simple! When you see a nice looking cake and then check the ingredients and there's all sorts of rubbish in it (dried fruits, nuts, alcohol like rum etc), it tends to ruin it! So I like to make my own as home baked usually tastes loooads nicer! And you can omit all that rubbish (unless the cake is centred around having those kind of ingredients in!).
  16. Uh-oh. This is not what I wanted to hear I had an order with LAME and had to cancel it due to it all going a bit wrong (long story) and part of me is a bit glad now... I will wait and see some official reviews before I definitely rule it out, but this is not a good start!
  17. Cake time (as it's all I ever make). Today I made small coffee sponges. With coffee buttercream and a sweet coffee icing on top. The problem I've always found with coffee cakes in general is they never really taste much like coffee and they ALWAYS have walnuts in / on. WHY DAMN YOU?! So I made my own - less the walnuts. And with lots of coffee!
  18. Anyone looking at picking a Vita up should check GAME's bundle out: http://www.game.co.uk/en/playstation-vita-wifi-only-with-littlebigplanet-vita-uncharted-golden-abyss-and-fifa-13-187092?categoryIdentifier=151637 Pretty great price.
  19. OK so I have always been a fan of Charlotte Church. Tissues and Issues was a great pop album and the lead single is, IMO, on of the best pop songs of the last 10 years. Her follow up was a totally different sound and a new direction for her. However, I still loved. Charlotte has a fantastic singing voice and these songs had so much more to them than the throw away pop from her first mainstream album. She is now back with a series of EP's that she is releasing on her own label. The below song, 'How Not To Be Scared When You're A Ghost' - is brilliant. It is a commercial fail what with there being no naked flesh, sick beat or David Guetta nod (lol) but that kinda makes it that bit more special. Seriously good.
  20. Big fan of diamonds. Slightly more mature. I just hope it sets a tone for the album.
  21. You can't beat it! I just used my phone camera. (iPhone 5)
