  1. I didn't mean blitzed through by play time. I meant with just one Pokemon knocking everything out. Like I say, we're all different in how we play the game and I would personally hate to end up having one really strong Pokemon that just owns everything in its path! But as I pointed out, I am a bit particular with how I play the game haha!
  2. Some pics - not great quality sorry as lighting wasn't good! Well what can I say... I'm not really feeling it at all. It's got a great weight to it - I think the weight goes some way to making it feel a little less cheap. Because everything else about it screams cheap. Holding it feels a bit awkward to me. Not uncomfortable, but not comfortable if you know what I mean? The shoulder buttons are nice - well, the left one is. The right doesn't feel as good and the feedback of the button press is mushed compared to the left side. The buttons themselves all feel fine. The D-Pad is the big disappointment here though. It's mushy. A mushy D-Pad is not enjoyable for anyone. Screens are like the normal 3DS model, if a little less white and crisp. The unfortunate thing for my testing is that I have no cartridge games apart from Pokemon! So I can't stick Mario Kart on and give that a whirl on it - which kinda sucks! I'm going to spend a bit more time with it tonight, but as it stands I have no intentions of switching to the 2DS. I want to like it, as I think it's pretty cool! But it's not blowing me away. I definitely think the black is the best colour after my initial taking to the white. The white just looks a little cheaper IMO. Anyway, I've just downloaded the RE: Revelations demo onto the system, and will take that for a spin on it. Will post some further thoughts later.
  3. Surely those who have blitzed through all the gyms cant have had any fun doing so?! Call me old fashioned, but I love getting to the gym leaders and knowing I'm gonna be facing a bit of a battle! Or having to go out into the wild and get my Pokemon to a suitable level to be able to take them on - even evolve one of my Pokemon so I have a better chance after a failed attempt(s)! I'm up to gym 4 and my Pokemon are all just level 30. I have 4 in my party. If one of my Pokemon starts tearing ahead of the others, I panic! Haha. I like them all to level up at the same time at the same rate, and have always done it that way in the Pokemon games! But it's cool that the game lets everyone play it their own way, depending on what type of trainer they are! I'm loving it so far! As I get further in, I will look to add another Pokemon, but at the min 4 is enough. Plus I haven't come across any I feel will fit into my team yet!
  4. So I ordered one! Arrived today. Just got in so about to open it up and get a hands on! If anyone wants to know anything or has any questions lemme know! I was able to get it for £90 from very.co.uk with a voucher code which was good enough for me to take the plunge as I can probably resell it for that should I think it's shite! Will post some more pics and give some thoughts in a bit!
  5. Was flicking through the Sunday magazine that comes in the Sunday Mirror today. Pleasantly surprised to see this: A pretty in depth article all about the Wii U! It goes into detail about the game pad, the fact that existing Wii remotes will work with the console, and says what games are out to buy and what will be available. Also looks like it's gonna be featured again next week, as there's a small section that says "Next week we'll be telling you about the new Wii Party U, Wii Fit U, Wii Sports Club, and Wii karaoke U. You see, Wii U really is the gift that keeps on giving for the whole family..." It's a pretty good piece really and it's definitely a smart move putting it in a magazine like this. A step in the right direction it would seem!
  6. Swimmer Romy isn't leaving much to the imagination, is she?! SLUT.
  7. Cube clearly has no soul. #PRAYFORCUBE
  8. I'd expect yours to be if it's level 30 odd and you haven't even done the second gym!
  9. Talonflame is total shit. Fire / Flying is a wank combo. It may look great, but it is not a strong Pokemon! All about Hawlucha!
  10. Totally put Mr. Mime in my team.
  11. Hahaha I lol'd. I like it!! But seeing the price they go for, I'm totally ebaying mine too.
  12. AS IF you can catch wild Eevee's in this game?!! Amazing. The game that keeps giving.
  13. I was shocked at how far the second gym is from the first. Or all the events that take place before the second gym badge! But it's good that there is room for more exploration and outside events rather than just running from town to town on a gym badge hunt! Haven't tried the trade feature yet. Might give it a go today!
  14. Glittering Cave is possibly the most amazing location of any Pokemon game ever. And looks so good in 3deeee. Really not sure what to do with my team - it's all over the place at the minute and normally I'm well organised! I just keep coming across amazing looking Pokemon! I'm also trying to train up a Inkay but it is such a shit Pokemon right now! I just know if I persevere it'll come good though as its evolution looks sweet!
  15. @King_V - added you back!
  16. May have already been mentioned in here but in case it hasn't: Buy a Nintendo 3ds XL Pokemon X/Y edition and get the game for just £19.99. Not bad!
  17. Yup, unfortunately the 3ds still uses friend codes. Check out this thread: http://www.n-europe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30062 It has everyones code. It may take a while to go through and add everyone, so it may be easier to stick to people just in this Pokemon thread if you intend to use it for battles / trades etc. Also, if you do add anyone, be sure to post in the console code thread and '@' their username so they'll see and add you back! : peace:
  18. Yeah totally agree. It's also good (in a way) that there's no information on the net for what moves the new Pokemon will learn, when they evolve etc. It kinda makes it a bit more exciting. For me anyway! And I'm with you on this one! I like having all my Pokemon the same level before each gym. So if that means spending time just grinding against wild Pokemon - then so be it!
  19. Yup it was route 5 for me too. Just in the normal grass. Panchams evolution look amazing - I was tempted to put one in my team too but decided against it as I have 5 already! I never normally have this many Pokemon this early on!
  20. I've caught a Pancham if you're struggling and need a trade Hero. Just lemme know! EDIT - Read the posts below of other offers! Still, if anyone needs one I have one to trade!
  21. Yeah I had to stop earlier when my battery was red and then I had to eat and get to tennis until 10pm. Might fire it up again now for a bit before zzzz's. I had just chosen Bulbasaur from the original line up selection - but wondered if I made the right decision. I think I have, as I've never been a massive Charizard fan due to its dual type (fire/flying sucks). And I started with Froakie so Squirtle was out of the equation (which upset me lol as he was my original choice all those years ago)! I need to buy the official guide really as I think they are absolutely brilliant for items, what type of Pokemon you can catch in the area and they have some lovely map artwork usually. Does anyone know if GAME and such will be selling them in store tomorrow? Or is it literally gonna be the 12th as per the official release? I think I know it's gonna be 12th, but thought I'd ask anyway!
  22. Can we just take a minute to discuss the amazingness of the music in this game?! I am not normally one for sound tracks of games, or gaming music - but this is jam packed with funky beats and exciting battle tunes! I usually whack my iPod in when I'm playing Pokémon and play silently - but with the updated Pokémon cry's and great sound track I'm whacking the headphones into my 3ds and turning the volume up! I also LOVE how Pikachu bursts out of his Poké ball and we get 'Pika Pika!' YES. And how adorable he is when he faints too. Gotta love him!
  23. Haha. I hope it impresses you! I've been well pleased with it so far. Don't wanna put it down! Be interesting to hear your thoughts anyway. Enjoy! : peace:
  24. My chances of finally completing a main Zelda game are slipping away rapidly now I've started this...
  25. So I've literally booted this up and spent about half an hour on it so far. And I'm amazed at how fresh this feels. It's like a brand new experience. Doesn't really feel or look anything like previous Pokemon games at all. The music is brilliant, it looks fantastic, and I love that there's full directional control over your character too. Definitely how I expected the series to move forward. Very impressive so far!
