3rd Party Problem? What Problem?
Magnus replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in General Gaming Discussion
There are some excellent games on that list, but I think we have very different definitions of the word "great." A bunch of these games aren't exclusive anymore or are ports/remakes of games from another console, too. -
Maybe you should only wear a fez.

He also loved Mass Effect 3.

Yeah, the Facebook group has twelve people listed as confirmed. And ten maybes, but some of them have since said they're not going. But if less people go to the meet this year, it's clearly because Jay's not going.

For anyone wondering, I think what Tales meant to say was that screenshot number 2 is left.

I think that once you become so into something that you decide that calling yourself a "fan of [thing]" isn't enough and you have to adopt a specific name to show the world how much of a fan you are, then you've chosen to put yourself in the same box as the most insane fans. :p Fake edit: Man, I took too long to write this post and Bard summed it up so much better. It's like if someone told me that they like Mass Effect and they especially enjoyed Tali. Okay, that's fine. But if they tell me they're a Talimancer, all I can think of is this. It just becomes this really weird, insular thing. "I used to be a Tali fan, but then I realized that I was... a Talimancer!" *Puts on Tali mask and discusses what Tali's sweat would smell like* Of course, all fandoms like this are pretty awful. The documentary is really embarrassing and a bit creepy, but you could make the same video about Trekkies or any other fandom out there and it'd be just as bad. A few years from now, we'll all long for the days when there were ponies everywhere and we didn't have to put up with whatever new thing awkward nerds get obsessed with.

It's everything I dreamed it would be.

I think my memory of Chuck may be slightly tarnished by the awful final season, to be fair. Seasons 1 to 3 weren't half bad (season 4 was okay, too). Yvonne Strahovski, meanwhile, was ruined forever by the Mass Effect games. I will never get Miranda's ugly face out of mind. Don't play them, Ashley. Miranda's dark-haired. But you can have sex with her, so there's that.

The quality of Dexter has been slipping, but it's still a big step up from Chuck. ... Who said that?

All I hear is, "if your controller breaks or gets lost somehow, you won't be able to play ZombiU for three weeks." :p
-
If they don't sell the tablet controller separately, how are you supposed to replace it if it breaks/gets lost/gets stolen? I guess if it breaks, you could send it to Nintendo to be repaired, but they wouldn't stand to make any money from impatient people then. And I think Nintendo would make more money from people buying an extra tablet controller for the ultimate multiplayer experience than the unlikely "get a friend to buy a Wii U for local multiplayer" scenario you proposed, but I guess I wouldn't put it past them. :p

I could understand not wanting to use a walkthrough if you wanted to find the heart pieces yourself, but you've already asked for a bunch of help in this thread. :p
-
Just use a walkthrough already. You're welcome.

Somebody Call 9-1-1! Flameboy Birthday On The Dance Floor!
Magnus replied to Iun's topic in General Chit Chat
Geez, we're not rid of him yet? Happy birthday, I guess. -
I still can't get over the fact that they're giving us a remake instead of the latest game in the series. Oh, Nintendo. But I hear the general consensus is that Fatal Frame 2 is the best game in the series, so maybe they're just trying to look out for us as usual.

Now's a perfect time to make a move, Ashley. Iun's not going to stay single forever.

Mass Effect 3 was the last chapter. This will be more like the last few pages of the last chapter.

I think BioWare made Mass Effect 3 about as self-contained as they could already. It's very obvious that they shaped the story so it'd be approachable to new players. The default Shepards for the second and third games have made some... questionable decisions, but they're decisions that carry with them as little baggage as possible from previous games. There's very little they can do to replace the feeling you get when you meet that one guy from the first game again because you let him live the last time you met him, though (even if he just gets replaced with some new guy if he's dead - but imagine only ever seeing the new guy!). Who's Mordin and why should I care about his plight? Sorry, Wrex - we're not old buddies. I just met you. (Actually, maybe it'd be Wreav - he carries with him less baggage.) Those were the things that made Mass Effect 3 so great for me. We got in in April. And I'm not getting any exclusive content, so I'm not sure what you're talking about.

They should just get a PS3 and/or an Xbox 360.
