which is precisely why I explode when people say "would of" instead of "would've" sometimes.

Kings s01e07! Quick summary; Deadwood's Al Swearangen (spelling not accurate) is practically allowed his own bitter, shouty show. The former Lovejoy actor plays a mythologically-based King in a modern-day political climate, where there are hints of Magic/God still at play, but with the role of teh Corporate Body weighing dark over his conscience, Kings initially sets out to mimic the tales of classical lore in a contemporary setting, with supposedly snappy wit and insightful characters. For the most part, this definition is true. ... But this was probably the poorest episode yet. SO it wasn't cancelled after teh first 6 eps! They made more! Woo! But... Very little king screen time, very predictable everything else. ANNOYING, mostly. The 'dream' sequence at the start and the candle near the end were almost mythological semblances of droolsome win, but instead the 'twist' (of the knife) is something that we just... don't... care... about! They're expanding their universe too quickly. They're acting as if we've seen enough character outline when I, for one, think that the 'princess' character has been vastly under-observed/explained. Another fault is that they're clearly taking their time letting the audience in on what the whole season-long story-arc is. They're flimsy and flakey with whether the king is faithful or not. I've been told the season has already been dropped, so I guess I shouldn't keep my hopes too high.- 3920 replies

Ell; me and twozz are/were still up on teh chat. You fail at patience. I've been up all night... Watched a few TV shows to pass the time. Now considering staying up 'til 10pm to re-set the regular pattern-sleep-thing... but then also just... not too bothered. Although! Theoretically I'm supposed to be catching a flight to germany in like 4 days so i really ought to sort my sleeping pattern out, and book some tickets. BUT I DON'T CARE I WANT TO SLEEP ALL DAY FFS Also; with the chat room; don't treat it like some entertainment animal you can just poke to be shown fun. If you enter and then leave after three minutes, you'll not get anything out of anyone. *looks at ellmeister and eddage* Don't be afraid to just leave the page open and idle. You can flick back to it every 15 mins rather than re-logging in every 15. Just think that if everyone does what you do (and signs in then quits dramatically quickly) then nobody would ever have a good chat. Having said that, I would say that typically the best, most active time to log on is 'after tea', with increased activity up 'til, usually, about 2/3am I guess. I am keeping an eye out for people, so don't be shy.

web 2.0 pushes the idea that the internet is largely user-based content. Stuff like wiki and youtube are web 2.0, if that makes sense? -
That's like saying "i'm a heavy guy" in response to "why are you heavy?"

i always freak about that. If you never hear from him then just consider it another step on the learning curve. Let it boost your confidence! Not many people can say they've ever gotten a number off someone.

The Nintendo Mafia: Battle for Nintendo Land

(list of people plz? :P) -
Ok, so I figured we ought to kick start the a chatroom. For now, you can go to http://webchat.quakenet.org/ and enter a username, then enter #n-europe as the channel, and you can bump heads with whoever's there. Eventually you noobs will learn that getting the mIRC application is way cooler. So yeah. This probably wasn't very clear at all. Someone else make sense for me, plz.

The Nintendo Mafia: Battle for Nintendo Land
jayseven replied to Dannyboy-the-Dane's topic in General Chit Chat
Look, will people stop saying "and since when did the mafia.." this, or "and since when did the townies..." that! We're not supposed to bring expectations of previous games into this one. It is not a valid form of defense or prosecution! -
What if I re-boot the movie thread, and craft a list of films all by myself? Different weekends of the month would be allocated differently 'weighted' films; one weekend would be more casual modern hollywood stuff, another would be a 60's-80's movie, another would be a foreign movie... Dan. let's talk about this.

The Nintendo Mafia: Battle for Nintendo Land
jayseven replied to Dannyboy-the-Dane's topic in General Chit Chat
fair enough on the last part - but I disagree that it makes no difference whether someone good or evil is protected. The evil character is protected from vigilantes, and depending on how he is protected, the protection may prevent investigative roles. By definition, too, it is surely better to protect a good person, thus ensuring a greater number of townies will still be alive for the next day's lynching. I'm just saying evil people might be under attack. -

Yeah, this is just silly. If you go by their definition of a word, then you're going to have all sorts of nonsense. Liek teh! -

Yeah I think you're right :P Maase was targetting the navi-esque character, not the yellow-fabric thing! But he's not the dude with a blaster. *phew!* -
