Hove Lagoon. Ok, so it's not what you would call a recent picture, but it's not actually THAT different today. (if anything it's kind of eerie to see the houses in the background exactly the same) -
There's a girl I had a fling with who has said it to me on repeated occasions. I started off saying "aww, bless you", then it became "but why? You barely know me" then it ended up a sort of "shut the fuck up and leave me alone" thing.

It's kinda off-topic, but I think the gun crime problem in the US is more to do with education and the class divide rather than just that there are more guns. Other countries in the world may have similar gun crime levels but a lower report rate. Gun crime covers robberies and rape as well as murder - things which the criminal is potentially likely to have done with a gun or not. My point is that it's not the guns that kill people (as we've all been sorta saying), it is culture and social oppression. So I guess my point is I sorta agree - it's a mental thing? Useless post this is, then!

Yeah so I didn't actually bother reading your whole post, but if you watched it on DVD then you'll find an option to watch it in the 'correct' order, and yeah, it's not as good.

Yeah there are other things there that I'll definitely be watching (dollhouse and the amazing race, for the lols), and a lot of things I'll give a go... but mostly there's stuff I need to catch up with -- Heroes, Big Bang Theory, The Mentalist, HIMYM, etc. Looks alright though.

I was under teh impression that by allowing everyone the fairness of access to the most powerful weapons at the time, no one person or force would be able to impose their way upon others, which is why there's hypocracy with the US and WMD's, if you ask me.

Like, if people are buying their babies some toys I'll say something like "in a few years this'll be an xbox and an ipod" and they chuckle and smile, just like the other 20 customers I said that to. It will drive me crazy eventually.

Yes, I'm sure it's hard being fat, but maybe it's my personal issues -- it's harder being blind and deaf. You can lose weight but my eyes and ears are only going to get worse. That's all it crunches down to, really. No amount of hard work will improve my life, no matter how down or depressed it makes me, I don't have that option to make things any better. I just have to shut the fuck up and deal with it.

Can we argue about 'normal' again? Because being fat isn't 'normal' (and therefore, being fat is gay and totally offensive). But seriously - I doubt fat people even want to be bus drivers. Work in general would totally cut into their eating hours.

Religion is inherantly NOT evil. What a ridiculous thread to make. Just because we haven't had a religion thread in a while doesn't mean we should start off with such a nonsense opening question. Can't we talk about the incongruous, aliens around us that we call 'the public' whom we are utterly unable to comprehend beyond any basic level? Can't we ponder on why, if there is one, a god would provide us with these random individuals we call 'people', and what their true purpose is? I mean, I know my Descartes well enough to not give a crap about the stranger begging on the street, or selling me baked beans, but to apply the logic to religion -- well I can only ever think about it purely as a discipline for the Self, not for the masses. BUT NO. We have to have a stupid question.
