Yeah I know, but in comparison to Thanks and Like, I think it can be applied to negative situations without coming across as being sadistic, akin to 'props' -- a term that offers respect. Perhaps a totally unrelated/manufactured word would be better? a Tendo? That may be too obtuse to newcomers.

I think "kudos" is better than "like" because sometimes I like to show appreciation to something that nobody should like, for example; ell's post in the "why life sucks" thread. No reason to like divorce, but I felt it deserved kudos for sympathy.

had a 'classic' gaming afternoon/evening/night with my mate. Every month or so, ever since college 7 years ago, we take it in turns to buy the both of us massive pizzas. We then proceed to play computer games and get drunk and talk shit about life. I also found a penny that's dated 1975! My girlfriend has one 1972 though, but I'm confident I can get my title back. (apology for two things)

Personally I think we could do with a couple more thanks a day. Personally I think ReZ would save a lot of thanks if he didn't just thank everyone who thanked his post, or said "that was cool" or whatever. And personally I don't think they should be called 'Thanks.' Not-so-personally; I'm sure it'll be fun and lolol if we all use these for a while, but it sucks when you see a thread you're enjoying has a new post and -- oh, it's just a stupid thanks image, not an actual reply that in any way adds to the discussion. So I'll do that sitting-back and letting the riot act itself out.

Just to say that if a post solely has that image in, or doesn't contribute in anyway to the thread, then it's just going to get deleted.

I know literally nothing about it. Genuinely, it's the name and the cover that swayed me (as they're similar to like 90% of my collection). I've bought a 2nd red controller for my elite off of Ezequiel, and am about to order a couple of pizzas for when my mate gets here (in order to stay OT, I guess).

I think I just had a nightmare about this game, and I've not even played it yet.

Ha! Well MSG is potentially found in noodles - everything else is kosher. I'm serious about doing this :P I'll get my gf to film me eating it on her iphone (woo super quality). You up for it?

haha! Oh, shit, sorry dude Audiobooks have been on my mind all day, I genuinely mistook you there! Ha!

It could be a blessing in disguise in that respect You can take christmas off, enjoy the tribulations of raising a baby and not have to worry (too much) about holding down a job. Then, once the tunnel at the end of teh light starts rearing its head, your kid will be extra motivation that will drive you to get the next job - and I'm willing to wager that it'll be better paid than your current one too! Best wishes to you

EYE SURGERY BUDDIES!
-
I'd be up for it :P Totally film myself eating it as well. So long as you can guarentee it MSG-free!

Nor do I, mate, nor do I.

A lot of food has it in. I've been known to take a double-dose of anti-histamine tablets and then have a few pringles and hope for the best... and tbh if I'm not doing anything the next day then maybe I could get all the new pot noodle things, try them all, then get a newspaper and a bus and head to A&E and do the crossword while I wait for the magic to happen.

There are sites dedicated to audiobooks, like audible.co.uk, which effectively offer paperback prices for books (sometimes more!) - the pro is that they are usually read by professional, dedicated and decent readers, the cons are that often (on the UK site especially) the books are abridged. However, there's a membership thing - £15 a month gets you two books a month, which is usually cheaper than the istore, from what I just checked. people think that because it's not a physical copy of the book it'll be cheaper - but effectively you're paying not only for the author's efforts but also the hours of reading someone is enduring. The book I'm currently reading is 45 hours worth of listening unabridged, is £30 on itunes, but easily less than a tenner in paperback. [/rant]

The third one been rushed to A&E twice because of the blighter!

Good-hearted books Can I ask you what sort of price books are on iBooks? I'm looking into audiobooks as a way forward. Wossit? WOSSAT? 10/10 + cool name = intrigue.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pot_Noodle#Current_UK_flavours (and scroll down for discontinued ones) -- looks like they've done this one before. Again, gutted I can't try it!

The Dark Knight Rises (Spoilers inside, enter at own risk)

Well I think teh name sucks too - but it makes some sense to have it explicitly related to TDK. BB and TDK aren't as related to each other as TDK and TDKR are/will be. It's like the Millenium book trilogy -the first book gives birth to the character and introduces you to how they work, the other two take teh character, changes the character then sees the character overcome the change and return to status quo. -
If you say gullible out loud slow enough, it looks like you're saying 'elephant.' P.S. This thread is where I go when I'm feeling sad and need a laugh.
