Didn't see that one coming, naturally.

I like to think that this forum is a boiling pot full of shit I can use against any of you when you get famous.

... And that'll be my reason for drinking, tonight!

I'm doing most of my xmas shopping at... car boot sales. Going to one next weekend with a friend who doesn't know it yet, and budgeting £5 max per gift. Getting roped into going late-night shopping with my 'double-date' crowd... Had a couple of tabs for hotukdeals offers open for, like, a week. Too scared to refresh them to see if the offers are off. Well, truthfully, I want to buy the things for myself. Bah.

I think Dan's hotter than all of those girls combined. Got wood for sheep, Dan? -
When I first entered a vehicle I drove around all cautious, using my signalling lights and everything! Now I boost everywhere and ram into cars on purpose. Used my wipers when it was raining, but it didn't make that much difference. Just started 1.6 now. The timber mill had me bricking it a little! I was all out of health... stressful stuff. The tone of the game when the shadows are about really shifts - it doesn't seem like a cardboard-dreamcast walk in the park like the daytime bits are. It's dark and grimey and... man yeah while I've maybe jumped once, my heart's been racing loads of times. And oh dear god that begging... horrible stuff. "Pleeeeease don't kill meeeeeeee..."

Unfortunately that is mostly true, however Brandy would not be the first I'd reach for. Mead, cider, port, rum, gin, martini, jager, sambuca, wine, vodka, beer, pimms, brandy then whiskey. That'd be the order of preference, off the top of my head. EDIT: Ah! Sloe anything is a winner

lol wtf brandy?! I honestly don't know anyone who likes the stuff :P

I'm back-and-forth about this. I've not played MW2 for at least 6 weeks. I got very into it... and this time I want to be in the first wave of players experiencing the game freshly and fairly evenly... but my internet is shocking until 1am, and I'm trying to get out of that sort of routine. I guess I'll just wait 'til I move out and get my own net and get it cheaper again :'(

You let debug mode and killthenet onto your servers. Check the timing of when stuff started happening, I'd put money on it being one of those two :P

By the same principle the argument is; if you prefer the taste of [e.g.] vodka to coca cola, why ever bother drinking coke?!

Lots of win today! - Woke up with gf - Got gamerscore of 31337 - Discovered two pints of mead tucked away in my fridge

We were supposed to pay £6 to go to this charity bonfire night thing, except it was so much faff to get there that we wouldn't've made the opening time. Instead we went to my friends house which is perfectly placed on teh side of a hill, and we had a few sparklers and ended up having a view of at least 13 sets of lengthy firework displays as well as some garden-centered events. Was pretty good -- and free!! Most people in the brighton area go to Lewes for their 'free' fireworks festival. It's just far too many people that go there.

I've concreted my static midleague position. jimbob vs. gaggle on friday will decide the last promotion spot. To see ReZ and Tales get relegated is a bit sad, but I hope they don't lose faith in the game. Happenstance fell fowl of a similar decline through the leagues, and he's coming back into the mid-league looking like the favourite to win the league next saeson, imo. My dev. values aren't all great. Got two players looking likely to double-jump, and a few players that I'd not be surprised if they lost a bar. -
How do you make a door laugh?

That tortoise is totally chillin. And quite possibly fresh from a big poo.

.. I'm known to be drunk and at my laptop at that sorta time :'(

The idea of that kind of scheme is quite clever. Say you get two prices from game - x is worth £3, y is £4. At HMV normally they'd give you £2 for x and £7 for y... so they'll save in the end, and you think you're getting a good deal!

Your mother is your uncle and I have proof. -
I bought this game on impulse after Mundi mentioned it - it only came out last friday, and I've only just gotten round to playing it. Heavy, heavy Twin peaks undertones (and over!), which may draw some comparisons to Alan Wake - but having only just completed the Prologue, it's hard to say just yet. Things I've noticed; - Controls are... iffy, but I'm getting used to them. It's because they have strafe buttons mapped onto the shoulders of your pad - something that seems quite out of place, but the game seems to be based upon old-school Resi-style controls but with a camera that follows you. - The graphics look like the game is an early PS2 game - good character models but textures and general map design so far appears a little lazy. - But the game has utterly won me over with its weirdness and its humour. I don't care to talk anymore. I wanted to make this thread so I could really just ask Mundi where he's at in the game. I'm gonna try and do the next section tonight.

I think with TWD it's hard to put the whole OMZ GOMBIES stuff away and just approach it and evaluate it as a TV show. ReZ and many others are rating the first show based PRIMARILY on how well it deals with the source material. If it ticks the boxes now then we can rest assured that we're in for a real treat for however many seasons we get! As a pilot/first episode I think it did precisely what was needed of it, and in typical AMC fashion it didn't patronise us with leading music (that I recall!). It posed enough questions and presented enough scenarios for the viewer's own imagination to run away with that nagging thought if what would I do if I was in this situation? it also didn't over-exert itself and try and cram too much stuff in, and it didn't skip much out. There was pretty much only one scene invented for the TV cliffhangaholic audience, but that's inevitable in transforming the source material into rigid timeframes of storytelling. Also, being Zombies, I suppose that the pilot/first ep doesn't really show you anything you've not seen before. We've seen enough films to perhaps be a little immune to 'the horror, the horror!' of it all... Enough I'm bored now.
