Ordered from Nintendo, they shipped it yesterday afternoon, I just got confirmation that it will be delivered tomorrow.

Yacht Club Games Presents 28-08-2019 Roundup It looks like there will be a series of Yacht Club Games Presents videos shown in the run up to December 2019. Why up until December 2019 you ask? Well, because that's the release date for everything... ...Or at least Shovel Knight: King of Cards, the amiibo and the physical Switch release. Check the article for a heck of a lot more information and reveals. Time to dig deep!

Darksiders III? already on Plus? I've got it on Xbox One but I'll add it to the library on my PS4... I just got rid of Batman so that was timely I suppose.

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening REMAKE — 20th September 2019
S.C.G replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I've asked about that for you in the questions thread as we may be able to help you get your original account back, if that's something you'd like us to do? Thanks for your impressions on the Link's Awakening remake as well, I can't wait to play the game again on the Switch. -
@Shorty is there any way we can help @Thiophen regain access to their original account please? (assuming that access to it is wanted of course)

True, but still... in this instance I can't help but feel bad, I've closed the case and I've messaged the seller, I wouldn't have done this if I didn't think they were genuine. What does make it tough though is that the way I was scammed years ago, the person used every excuse under the sun including really bad cirumstances. This isn't the case here though, it's just genuinely the worst time for the person I've bought off at the moment, it's not just my item either, it's other peoples, I've checked and there definitely is a backlog of items waiting to be posted as there is no feedback for transactions past that certain date, I've told them that the item/cash involved isn't of vital importance, that I only opened a case because of my past experience on eBay, wished them all the best and have left it at that.
-
Ah I see, well you're doing the right thing by persuing it I think, especially as this person has clearly done it before by what you've described. I hope this has a happy outcome and that something is done. As it happens, I just had to message someone on eBay about an item which didn't turn up in over a week which hadn't been posted, just a £15 item but still. They've just contacted me and I've found out the unfortunate reason, which does seem to be genuine sadly (sad because it's bad news and very unfortunate circumstances) so in this instance I am going to give them more time and I kind of feel bad for asking where the item is, even though I'm only doing this because of my past experience. In this case, it's just a £15 item, one I probably didn't need as well I suppose but I'm pretty confident that their story adds up and it's just a very sad situation. With the case where I was scammed years ago, I now know the pattern and I can tell that I was almost certainly blatantly lied to, this case is definitely different. I'll keep you updated anyway... this might require a new thread topic about scams in general, I'd be interested to hear other forum members experiences, good or bad.

Ah, that sucks. Was it on eBay via PayPal? If so then you can get your money back but if it was another online marketplace and no PayPal involved then... I hope you can get your money back (even if it's not about the money, it's the principle) and I do understand as I lost out on something through eBay years ago to the tune of around £50. Ever since then, I don't take any excuses from anyone, if the item hasn't been posted after a week with no communication then I'll always ask politely where the item is. Then if they don't do anything within another week or so, usually eBay will give you your money back, years ago with the £50 item I believed the persons lies about needing more time. I was strung along for not weeks but months and I've never forgotten about it since, it was for a game that you could get for £50 then but you sure as heck can't now. These days I'll only tend to deal outside of eBay selling my own games or buying games/giving deals in good faith to people I trust as it's the only way. But we live and learn from these experiences hopefully and in any case, I hope your situation has a better ending then mine.

I bet it's digital only or half the collection boxed with a download code for the other half of the games. You move, Capcpom.

Up on the front page. Aside from seeing what bits of this they choose to put into the next Mario Kart game or even MK8DX I don't have any interest in this. But I understand its purpose, to drive up brand recognition, tempt people into buying a Switch or the latest game and to make money for the shareholders. The same as all the Nintendo mobile titles thus far and I can't really blame Nintendo for doing it either. Sorry Nintendo but the target audience you're looking for is in another castle.

I just hope my PS4 will last me through Monster Hunter World Iceborne. On-topic contribution - Bikes are cool, I wonder how they handle in the game? Also, I've just noticed that this is a missed opportunity for an Easy Allies Bet... How many times will the word "Bike" be mentioned in the most recent review of the game?

It's not too bad, there are a few screws on the back you'll have to remove (some are covered with security stickers) then you just pry off the top carefully from what I remember. Check a guide for specific details though (I did to be sure) and the casing goes back on in a certain way as there's something on the inside which just needs to be angled correctly. When I opened mine up recently within the year, there wasn't actually that much dust in there, I thought there would be seeing as I'd had the machine since launch. Anyway, as for this game... it looks interesting, I don't think I'll be rushing to buy it but I might play it one day, it looks like it has a certain charm to it.
-
Well, that would make sense, though I'm still not pleased about it and I can still see them slowly cutting off both consoles later on down the line. They would be foolish to do so now though as people are still buying stuff on the 3DS eShop and even the Wii U eShop to a lesser degree. I don't think I'll be scrambling for points when the time comes to shut off the Wii U eShop though, not in the same way as when the Wii Shop Channel was killed off. But as Dennis says, if your NNID is linked between all consoles then I guess it isn't that much of a big deal... yet. It has reminded me that I do have some digital codes to redeem on the 3DS eShop though, if they haven't expired. (the ones for Pokémon Gold & Silver)

Wow, so Nintendo are actually digitally cutting off the Wii U and the 3DS just like that. At least you can still add funds from the website but if and when they pull that... it will be just whatever credit is left on pre-purchased cards... until those are stopped as well. Maybe this means that Nintendo are going to be porting everything worthwhile which is digital from the 3DS and Wii U to the Switch? Though I wouldn't count on it.

Easy Allies Review is up now, Control does look good and I have more of an idea what it's about now, it's not a game I can justify buying at launch with so much coming out. I'd consider giving it a go though, at the right time and for the right price, it looks like it is going to sell pretty well, how well though? It remains to be seen. Going by the fact that this is yet another game which is pushing not only the base model hardware but the upgraded consoles as well, I wouldn't be surprised to see it on next gen too. Or just a suitable performance bump which would make the game play better on newer hardware, obviously depending on when newer hardware is released.
-
I'm aware of Control, I get why it will have mainstream appeal but it has never struck me as a "must buy" title, it's just not a game that's for me and that's fine. Astral Chain on the other hand, day one because it looks like a must buy exclusive Switch title that I actually want to play. It all comes down to choices and different audiences, there will probably be plenty of people buying both games but for different reasons. I've been looking forward to Astral Chain for a while as it's from a developer I like and its got just the right amount of interesting gameplay with what looks like an entertaining plot. Plus cats... lots of cats, I can't say that isn't a factor in my decision to buy the game because it blatantly is.

Fire Emblem theme get! Right, that's me not playing Tetris 99 until the next Grand Prix event! I'm only in it for the themes...

Nintendo at Gamescom 2019 Roundup Just a recap of everything Nintendo related over the course of this years Gamescom event.
-
Up on the main page. You can of course expect a full roundup article on the main page soon after the presentation has aired. I'll be looking forward to this one as I'm hoping to finally get that boxed copy of Shovel Knight on the Switch. Of course I'll be double-dipping on this one because this came out early on in the Switch's life so it would have been hard to guess when that boxed copy would be released.

Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - 26th Sept
S.C.G replied to Serebii's topic in Nintendo Gaming
That is... generous for a demo! By that point though I suppose, they figure you're hooked on the game and will have to buy it to see how it all ends, so it's a clever move. -
Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - 26th Sept

Is there a clear, defined point at which the demo ends? Or is there a time/level limit? I'm considering giving the demo a go but just wanted to know how much I can level up or what I'll be able to do in the demo. -
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Gamescom Invitational 2019 This took place this afternoon, I thought I'd put the video up on the main page in case anyone wanted to watch it or catch the highlights.
