Did you order from The Game Collection? They shipped my copy today. I'm going to check out that review right now.
-
I have no doubt that it will be worth that and to put it into perspective, it could be worse... if you want the physical version from Limited Run Games it's £42 including shipping. To me, it's worth the extra £15 to have the physical copy but of course in about a couple of months time, there'll be another two hundred games out and River City Girls will be on sale. But as for the quality of the game, it's looking like it's worth £27... though it is now making me wonder how much Streets of Rage 4 will be when it comes out. I can't wait for River City Girls though, except I will be waiting a bit longer for the physical version, probably two months so by the time I get to play it, it'll be on sale for certain. I definitely love Limited Run Games for the amount of decent indie titles they bring out on cart but damn... I'm still waiting for titles such as Celeste to come out.

Final Fantasy VIII Remastered — Coming 2019 (PS4/Switch/PC)
S.C.G replied to Julius's topic in Other Consoles
I can't buy this, not because I don't want to but because it definitely isn't getting a physical release... although if it goes cheap in a sale, then I might go for it. But I already have the originals and as for FFVIII I have an NTSC copy as well. I still don't know if I like the game or not either... I liked the game when I was shown it over at a friends house back in the day though. (that intro) It's just when it comes to playing it myself, I just... don't know. Speaking of the remaster though... Anyways guys, until next time. -
Sega Lord X with a video on the arcade version of Shadow Dancer which I really hope gets a Sega Ages release as I'd love to play it.
-
SNES Drunk with another myth-busting video and I can honestly say that I had no idea about the one relating to StarFox... that's just madness!
-
Up on the front page! All aboard the hype train.
-
This is about in line with my reasonable expectations... ...as for my unreasonable expectations, we're getting a new F-Zero game just in time for Christmas.
-
I have my physical copy of the original game thanks to backing the game and getting a hefty reduction on the Limited Run Games release, I should really unseal it and play it.
-
Banjo-Kazooie Smash DLC shadow-drop release date right after the direct? All signs point to yes! I hope so anyway, it would be ideal timing.
-
Up on the front page, it's just a press release though... don't get too excited.
-
Rajang Hype! I can't wait for this.
-
I should pre-order it but... It seems they will be doing what they always do with Yakuza games, Day one version = superfluous, elaborate alebiet very nice packaging. Then later they'll release the collection in a proper PS4 case, so I might just be better off waiting.

I agree, on the whole it was a good video but... I don't trust the World Health Organisation as far as I can spit. Whenever they classify something, there's always an agenda behind it. (I know... pass me a tinfoil hat if you really must) I'm not saying that Gaming Disorder doesn't exist either, it clearly does but we should still be wary of such organisations, especially the WHO. (No, not that one) It's healthy to question these things so I just wanted to say that so that there's a bit of balance here, that's all. - - - - - But what JIm says it mostly true, especially when it comes to all of these predatory companies such as EA and Activision etc, trying to normalise gambling in videogames as that's downright dangerous and irresponsible, to them though... they don't care, it's all about the money but these are exactly the type of tactics in games which could lead to certain people who are susceptible to such practices then going on to develop a "Gaming Disorder" if that's what we're now having to label it as in order to raise some awareness of what's going on. The greedy publishers are still the root of the problem but we should always keep an eye on other organisations who like to label things and people.

Can you repeat the question?

No real spoilers here but I just reached the part where you enter the Astral Plane for the first time and I found the chain jumping mechanic to be a little bit tricky as well. Again, nothing game-breaking but during that first section where you get to use it, I did miss one of the jumps, so I was glad to see that it wasn't an instant fail when that happens. Also, I found my first cat just before that part and I couldn't rescue it I guess I'll have to come back for that one with a different Legion. I'm really liking the game though, taking my time with it, I want to play more but I've just got a lot to do at the moment so I'm only managing an hour or two in the evening. I will keep at it though because I want to see this game through to the end.

I may quit Resident Evil. I have not decided yet...
S.C.G replied to CrowingJoe79's topic in General Gaming Discussion
I'm a moderate fan of Resident Evil. I've only completed half of the main games in the series though, despite owning the entire series across various platforms. Resident Evil Zero - Interesting prequel, I like the setting, the character system was quite unique as well for its time. Resident Evil - The original, the classic, while I don't rate the original release these days, I love the remake. Resident Evil 2 - Best in the series from a nostalgia point of view, I've played the original which I like, I've played the remake which I like, though I've never properly finished it. Resident Evil 3 Nemesis - This always felt like an alternate take on Resi 2 to me, I know Resi 3 and CV got switched around at some point, maybe that's why it feels weird to me. Resident Evil Code Veronica X - Really started to change the series up, has some weird themes and some cool setpieces, I also like the new camera system, DC ver = good. Resident Evil 4 - Do I even need to say anything about this game at this point? Played it and loved it, it is Resi but with more than a few twists. Resident Evil 5 - Good co-op game, still a Resident Evil game? Sort of... but, Wesker... "complete, global saturation" Chris punching a boulder, in a volcano... yeah. Resident Evil 6 - Yeah, good one Capcom. Resident Evil 7 - It's first-person Resi... redefining what the series is again but really borrowing a tonne of ideas from elsewhere. That's my quick and in no way doing the series any justice overview of the Resident Evil series. -
*looks around* *tentatively raises hand* Yes please.

N-Europe's Top 10 (Voting over, check first post for results)
S.C.G replied to Glen-i's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Here is the final article for our Top Ten Wii U Games. Thanks to @RedShell for the Wii-U-tiful banner/side graphics. and @Glen-i plus @Dcubed once again for the excellent write-ups. Also thanks to the N-E community for contributing, the Wii U is a console which I struggle to go back to thanks to the Switch but I'll boot it up again one day. (my contribution was making the game banners in the article and getting it uploaded) The Wii U banner is mostly cut-pasted from the Wii banner, I found an excellent Wii U Gamepad pixel art, so I used that after shrinking it down. I tried to incoporate as much Wii U as possible into the banner design, so you have the blue from the 'U' some black text/background and the Gamepad is white. Just so that both models of the Wii U are reflected in the banner really, I had a Black 32GB Wii U from day one but I know a lot of people owned the White 8GB model too. (also... there were two games which no one provided thoughts for, so I whipped up a couple of short insights for those, got to keep the article format consistency) Enjoy! And that's all folks! (you can access all of the articles on the first page of the thread but here are the mini-banners for the other articles anyway) -
@Hero-of-Time is Greg the Grim Reaper from Conker's Bady Fur Day, confirmed! Anyway, I got to play an hour of Astral Chain last night and while I didn't get far enough to encounter any cats, I did get the sense that this is going to be a very special game indeed.
-
Calling @RedShell I've found you a new game! Assuming this is getting released outside of the Japanese eShop that is. I don't think I can put this on the main site unless it's confirmed for release over here but, here's the PR anyway... I think I'll stop looking for news to post now because nothing else is going to top that today!

Sega Lord X with a video entitled Fact or Fiction? which dispells a lot of myths related to the Sega Saturn.
-
On the front page. Castle Crashers Remastered coming out on the Switch eShop on September 17th 2019 I can't wait to see that deer at the start of the forest stage again, yep... immature maybe but it was amusing at the time.
