- Really Nintendo Gaming is intended to be a board JUST for threads on Wii/WiiU/3DS/DS games and the console themselves. - General Gaming Discussion is for the discussion topics. At the moment there a couple of discussion threads left over in Nintendo Gaming i.e... 'When will we get new Wii U games' 'Your Wii U collection Past Present and Future' ... But these are very WiiU game specific. Maybe they should be moved?... As we said this is a transition period and we'd like your feedback.

a) Yeah we really want to try and make it the boards for discussion based threads so we'd probably look to create Nintendo Directs in there. b) General Gaming Discussion is for General Discussions about the Industry as a whole as well as Retro Gaming, and anything else about gaming as a hobby, artwork, music etc. etc. Nintendo Gaming and Other Console are now largely just games board, so the Rayman Legends threads go there. That make sense?

There have been some pretty strong opinions on here, across the net, and on Miiverse about the delay of Rayman Legends. We've decided to run a N-E Forum Roundtable in General Gaming Discussions about this and on delaying games in general: http://n-europe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36677 So please go ahead and contribute your feelings on the matter in there, and maybe post any funny images or comments you've come across from the net/Miiverse as well and hopefully we can summarise this topic in a little feature for the main site!

Wii and DS will go in Nintendo Gaming yes, as those two console heavily cross-over and are backwards compatible with the Wii U and 3DS.

The GGD encompasses Retro Gaming discussion, so a thread about the history of the Fire Emblem series would belong there. Nintendo Gaming encompasses Wii U and 3DS games, so threads for Fire Emblem on those console would go there.

@Magnus it sounds nice in theory, but a few members from across the Boards tend to have difficulty getting along! :p I agree it would be good, but we want to try and avoid argumentative posts.

In line with the forum reshuffle and desire to get the community feel back into the forums... we are looking at running regular forum roundtables, probably monthly. These will post questions for forum members to discuss based on particular hot-topics in the industry or on the forum that month; which members can voice their opinions on. We then aim to hopefully post the results of the discussion up as a [monthly] feature on the N-Europe Main Site. Like features such as N-Europe Top 50 Wii Games this will hopefully generate a greater connection between the Main Site and the Forums. We hope to maybe have the first of the N-E Forum Roundtables up over the weekend!

But it is still very easy enough to distinguish from the Wii U logo which is all that's really needed from it.

We're thinking of implementing Console Icons that would join the current list of Smiley's and Symbols you can select from when starting a new thread, so it will be easier to see which threads are Wii U, which are 3DS etc... as you can just look for the console picture in the side bar. Merging the boards should also help keep the activity up for times when one or the other console experiences a bit of a drought.

Yeah, the idea is for General Gaming Discussion to be a place to really encourage discussions across all gaming platforms and things going on the industry in general; especially in this time of new console generations and technologies, studios closures, a stagnating of New IP and a reliance on sequels. Hopefully it will also alleviate some of the pressure that builds up in the Wii U Discussion Thread by providing an outlet for people to discuss particular topics in their own individual threads. We've also tried to make the boards busier and uncluttered. We're currently thinking along the lines of... if it's a thread about a dedicated game then create it in Nintendo Gaming or Other Consoles, but for general industry news and unspecific topics the New General Gaming Discussion is your place! Hopefully you can all see what we're aiming for, but as we've said, this is a transition period and we'll try and work out the best solution possible for the forum to run smoothly, so please give us some feedback!

The idea behind General Gaming Discussion, is to get decent discussion topics going in there that currently find there way into and clutter up current Wii U threads etc... and also for rogue game related threads that end up in General Chat. Embrace the Discussion!! It also encompasses all Retro gaming like before across all platforms.

Apparently Martin Whitmarsh tried to fight for the Marussia seat for Heikki, but I think they were already to far down the process with Razia of something. He's got a lot of support in the paddock, Paul Hembrey said he'd look at giving him a Pirelli testing role aswell. But I think Heikki has said he's not interested in testing or third driver roles. It really is a shame. The Caterham/Marussia line-ups are a joke and the likes of Guiteirrez (not gonna check if that's the spelling) at Sauber... gotta feel for Heikki and other drivers in this current F1. Should never have gone to Caterham.

Thanks for that @Dcubed! Nice to hear some thoughts from the people behind the game, instead of just all the hate that's all too easily built up on the internet these days. Some perspective.
