I knew that was coming. It just doesn't sound like a nice name for the delicacy which are scones. A "Skon" sounds like some kind of blister or infection that you get at the bottom of your foot. "bluddy hells...I've got skons at the bottom of me foot."

That's actually a brilliant idea. The problem I think with all these fees and databases is that I feel as if the Government think that doing this is enough. That by creating databases it is enough to eradicate the problem. It's not really what tools you have, it's the way you use these tools to do the job. There are already plenty of other checks and procedures you have to go through in order to become a teacher or work within a school, so adding a few more in will just make the process seem more tiresome than it already is, and I'm not even sure there will be any greater benefits than the systems that are already in place. More should be done with what already is there.

Haha, have you heard "Skons"? It doesn't sound right. It's almost like hearing half a sentence. It sounds ok, but you're waiting for it to finish, or for something else to come. Skones just sounds more complete.

I have felt a bit cold today, or a bit worn down, so I've mostly been chilling out for most of today and watching the cricket on telly. I just had a bath about an hour ago which makes me feel loads better, hehe. I've been working out quite a lot lately. My forearms have had quite a bit of work in the last two days, and I'm feeling it slightly now, but the bath has helped. Now...what to have for tea.

This is a good place to be, and probably a lot better than other gaming forums out there. There are some right hell holes out there! So, thankfully we've got a nicer bunch of people and plenty of threads for people to post in. The good thing about the forum is the liberation, I think. The freedom to post what you want without somebody asking for the thread to be locked, or for the topic to quickly turn into spam. If we lose that freedom, then I think the forum will lost a piece of its "heart." But, that's no means to say everyone posts crap, or anything like that! It seems like there is a lot of mutual respect here. There's good atmosphere, it's not too over-policied, so the posters back that up with good posts. The only thing I would like to see is the forum and main-site attract more people. I don't think the site has the same pull as it did in the C-E days. Since the jump over to R-E, it's been at a stand-still, I think.

I've always pronounced it "skones." It's the way it should be pronounced. Think of it as a cheap test to see if a person is worth knowing or not. "Sconns or Skones?" "...uhh....skones?" "....yeeeeeeeeeeees!" "*wipes sweat from brow*" Also, normally the Johansson would raise much more than an eyebrow when I see her in her full blown beauty. However, these pictures barely raise a semi.

When I was younger, I used to day dream quite a lot. In one of my day dreams, I used to imagine that I had created my own island and was like a King or President of that Island. If you imagine how Lex Luthor created that Island in Superman Returns, then you'd imagine how I'd create me. Basically, I modeled the idea on New York City, as I was a huge fan of that place at the time. Probably because of films like Ghostbusters and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. I dreamed that I would create a city like New York, but bigger and better. It would feature millions of sky-scrapers, but also lots of parks and green areas. Treeees! Then, it would have an underground subway, and also shops and shopping centres that were underground. I also imagined that I would be an inventor on this Island, as well as King, and that I would sell products to the public. One idea I created was the Ultimate Game System. Basically, I stole the ideas from the SNES and Megadrive, which were my consoles at the time, and blended them into one. Also, as a result of being quite into the Commodore64, which was handed down to me from an Uncle, I blended that into the same machine. The result was a cartridge based system that could also play CDs (ala, le mega CD) and also had a "bridge" above the system that would hold tapes, like a tapedeck. You could save your data onto the tapes, and take the tapes to other people's houses and continue playing. It was brilliant. That was my proto-type of the machine. I also would create shopping centres which would be run by me, and they would sell the best technology around, and all sorts. If you can imagine the best island ever, and then think of my proto-type machine, its millions better. Plus, the people were happy and never wanted to leave. They loved it. There would also be "sub-islands" which would be located off the main island, which would have beaches and other things, places where you could do water-sport activities and so forth. Think of the whole thing as a Sun: So, the blue is the sea. Then, the green line would represent the trees within the main island, so that the island would look fucking amazing and green. The lines that go to the small islands and back are basically huuuuuge bridges! Bridges across the ocean. Footbridges too, which would look pretty awesome. Get awesome views. Then, put together the ideas of what I talked about, and that would be on the island itself. Big buildings, a subway that would take you everywhere, and lots of amazing places to visit. Like, Zoos and stuff.

Well, it just shows that they like the penis. Maybe a bit too much. It doesn't mean that they're a paedophile, though.

It would explain how ReZ was conceived, I guess.

Unemployment, travelling and smoking thread. Apparently.

I've got a meeting on Monday with an agency which helps with teachers getting supply or permanent teaching work. I've also got another meeting on Thursday with another agency. Both in Cardiff. It may be my only hope now of landing a proper job in time for the new school year. So much time spent applying for teaching jobs, so much time waiting: getting up in the morning and not seeing any new post by the door, or even not receiving a rejection letter, it's bluddy crap.- 562 replies

If I were Inter, I'd take the money and run. Also, with Eto'o and Hleb! That's an insane deal. Personally, I still don't understand why Barcelona are in a hurry to let Eto'o go. I like Ibrahimovic, but...I'd rather keep Eto'o, Hleb and the 35 million. He's not worth that. I also forgot to mention... This made my day! I really let out a big wohoooo when I read this. I've missed the guy, and he's had a very, very tough time. But, when he's been playing, he's really done the fans proud. I wish him all the best and the speediest recovery.

"Ok, so, you work with children, you need to sign here, here and here." "Great, I understand that there are policies in place to safeguard children." "That'll be 60 quid, please." "..." If there's an opportunity for money to be made, I can't say I'm surprised that this has come about. They may say that this is helping to safeguard children, but it's little more than a money-making scheme. Worst of all, if you NEED to sign up to this, then it's just easy money, since you can't say no.

He's a bit older in that last one, I think. Have you seen Stand By Me? Or The Lost Boys. Oh wait, of course you have. You were in those!

The thing is, if you're going to wreak havoc on the "killers of meeeeat", then you may as well do it in style. People have been burning stuff for ages, there's no shock factor anymore. Now, if she had recruited her army of cows, and led them to victory on horse-back, that would have been a truly amazing sight. Anyway, the idea of fire-bombing someone's shop is very extreme. I know she's got her own viewpoints, but to use violence and destroy someone's property just shows the lack of respect. A few of the posts she made were fine, but too many of her posts were aggressive. The caps lock, for instance, the tone of the message. If you're going to convince somebody to come around to your own viewpoints, then she went totally the wrong way about it. "STOP SELLING MEAT!" "...why?" "BECAUSE I'LL FIREBOMB YOU!" "..." It's hardly going to convince anyone. If anything, it just negates the point that she was trying to prove.

Fancy a switch to Sunny South Wales? We have all sorts of cool stuff here. I hear trees are making a comeback. There's roads and everything. No? ...

I giggled like a girl at these two. "18...19... ... ... TEN TEN! TEN TEN 1! TEN TEN 2!" Sweet jesus, most I've laughed today.

Haha, that was pretty hilarious. I can't remember if me and Platty were on MSN at the time, thinking that one up, or if it was in staff chat. The reaction by Jordan was pricelss. Bless him.

Quick! Use your Vine Whip! Goaferboy: Mad Max 4? I'm not sure if I like the sound of this. In the 21st Century, no franchise is sacred. No series will be left unturned. There is no escape.
