  1. You're lucky you're a Geordie and you, otherwise I'd send you to your room with nowt for tea. Why Aye, man. It's bluddy good noise, though, isn't it? I cannae understand the resentment.
  2. Ladies and Gentlemen, I am in absolute turmoil here. The Muppets....or Rage Against The Machine. I love both but for verrrrry different reasons. Animal versus Brad Wilk? Kermit against de la Rocha? I love both.
  3. That reminds me of last season's fixture. We had troubles with our defence then, too. If I remember right, Gary Neville was playing centre back, and Agbonlahor gave him a torrid time. He's too short to be playing in that position. 8 defenders out. Our only fit first choice is defender is Evra, and even our cover are struggling for fitness. Vidic has the flu, but I'm hoping he'll be back in time for Villa. I'm betting that Brown will be ok, too...well, hoping more than anything. We know that the young lad De Laet is pretty decent, and he can play anywhere along the back four. It wouldn't be so bad if one of either O'shea and Evans were available, but both are out until the New Year. We could have used his versatility. Midfield wise, we still have (providing none get injured tonight) Anderson, Scholes, Gibson, Fletcher, Carrick, Giggs, Obertan, Nani, Park and Valencia. We know that Fletcher can slot in at right back (and do a pretty great job of it) and Carrick did ok at centre-back but I'm worried about how he'll cope with some real pace. That means that we really need one centre-back available, so that's where we're hoping for either Vidic or Brown back in time. Apparantly Berbatov and Rooney are both doubts for the Villa game, but I don't know the full extent of that. Here's what my predicted team is. Kuzczack Fletcher - ? (one of either Carrick, Brown or De Laet) - Vidic - Evra Valencia - Gibson - Anderson - Scholes - Giggs Rooney I think it'll be near enough the same team that played last week. Tight across the midfield, giving protection to the back four. Giggs and Valencia supporting Rooney. Probably Anderson playing the holding role as I think he's the most mobile out of centre midfielders. I'd like us to go 442, with either Scholes or Gibson being sacrificed for Berbatov. But, given the defensive crisis, I think we'll play 451 to add some protection for the back four. If Vidic AND Brown don't recover in time, then push Fletcher at centre back and put De Laet at right back. It's going to be a tough game.
  4. I've not tried Sony Acid Studio. What's that like? As it happens Stuwii, you can download some versions of Ejay. There's quite a lot to choose from, mind. A dance version, hip-hop. Some of the ones I found through a quick google search asked for you to pay, some were demos or trial versions. There was this one link that asked you to text this number, and that it would charge you £1.50, and that would give you a code enabling your download of Ejay to start. I dunno about that one. Look around, give it a try.
  5. I hate you! Does anyone else, or is it just me? As for that Dog stuff, I'm not a doggie person (hehe, I am really, but a different kind of doggie person, k) but, that is really awful stuff. Cowardice really. Just watched the video again, that look in the Dog's face before he is placed above the rail, she really doesn't know what's going on. It's cruel how they can pick on an animal like that who won't fight back.
  6. *holds face* *and head* Leave eet.
  7. Hahahaha. I saw this on the main forum page, with Arab Freak as the last poster. I thought the thread said "Arab Creator Software." Hahahah. This is going to sound a bit daft, but I had some excellent software yeeeeears ago called Total E-jay. Does anyone know about that? I really liked creating stuff on that. That might be worth a shot, Stuwii if you can find eet. I'mma google for you now, k?
  8. Unless you smash somebody's face in with each one of those 20 games consoles. And then drove over them in all four of those cars. Forward and back. I'm dreading getting Ine something for Christmas now. Incase she opens it and says "well, do we reeeeally need presents to define our own happiness?" If that happens, I think I'll cry from the inside outwards. Just get the presents, and be happy. Be excellent to each other. How to make world peace? Easy. A little joy, a smile, a sing along of Band Aid aaaaaaand no Present-baaashing.
  9. Yes, it's your own bluddy fault for choosing those examples. Also, I didn't say that one profession deserves more respect than the next. I was pointing out that with each job comes with a different set of reponsibilities. I think different jobs all contribute something to the bigger picture. Doctor's are important because they help maintain the health of others. Janitors also do that, but in a different way. They make sure that the hospitals and other places are clean. Each job comes with its different "pressures" and "stresses", too. Think of a teaching assistant for example. They work very hard within the school, but as soon as the bell goes at 3 o'clock, they can go home and have no further work to do. However, the same can't be said for the teacher. There's planning, assessment, and also things like reports that need filling out. So, the hours are not strictly set from 9-3, for example. Both jobs are very important, but they have different expectations. With the bus driver part: All jobs should be respected, imo. A person is choosing to take part in that profession or area, and they should be respected no matter the job. I remember getting into an argument with someone ages ago because they said that you shouldn't "have" to say thank you to bus drivers, because it is their job to transport you to places. My argument was that they are providing you with a service, so you should be thanking them for that service. It's true, if a bus driver screws up, many people could die. The main goal of a bus driver is to transport passengers from one destination to the next in the safest way possible. Safety is quite a big thing on buses, I think (tons of signs everywhere, at least on the buses I've seen haha). Also, funny you mention that. My Mum used to be a Bus Conductor and my Dad used to be a Driver. (one of many jobs) Anyway...*crosses OxyWaste from Christmas List* I still think they're a good idea.
  10. Oxygen, there is a lot of responsibility that comes with being a doctor. You cannot afford to make mistakes, as it could result in the death of a patient. Like a mis-diagnosis, for example. There's a reason you have to spend an insane amount of money and spend a daft amount of time studying to become a doctor, because you have the lives of others in your hands. That is a huge responsibility. There's nothing wrong with being a janitor. If you want to become a janitor, then that's what you are choosing to do. But, personally, I believe that they are two very, very different jobs. When a janitor goes to work, he or she never usually thinks that a mistake could potentially end up with the death of a patient. (unless you forget to mop the floor leading to a staircase...10 floors high, haha) However, your job doesn't always reflect who you are as a person. Many doctors can be arseholes. I've met a fair few. Hehehe.
  11. Lists aren't a bad thing. I can think of a few times where I've had to get a gift for someone and I've really struggled. Mainly because I'm not sure if the person has that thing in the first place, if they would like this particular gift, or if somebody else is already planning to get them this gift, haha. A list is a pretty good idea, I think. For one thing, it means that you're getting something that the other person definitely wants or needs. I'd feel a bit bad if I got somebody one particular gift but then realise afterwards that they probably "needed" something else a bit more. True, getting any present is always a great feeling anyway, but it can be tough if you're the one buying them stuff and you're devoid of ideas, haha. The only thing I think is that it's much less of a surprise, since you basically asked for that item in the first place, hehe.
  12. You know, I've been staring at Goafer's head for the last ten mins, and I still can't see where you joined it on. That's actually pretty good, haha. In fairness to Rez, he has a very funny face.
  13. When I heard Show Your Bones for the first time, the first thing I thought was that the sound was pretty different to Fever To Tell. Imo, it isn't trying to emulate that sound again, but it's evolved from it. It sounds a lot more polished, like they've put a lot more thought into many areas and perhaps lost a bit of that spontaneity because of it. In a way, Fever to tell felt like the innocent child, and Show Your Bones felt like the young adult. A bit wiser, a bit more mature, but perhaps a bit devoid of that innocence and rawness from the first. With It's Blitz, it doesn't feel like a natural evolution to me. It feels like they've tried to redefine what they are, which isn't a bad thing. I think we disagree on that aspect, as you feel that it is an evolution, but I don't see that. Like I said, it could very much be a grower, but right now it feels a bit like they've tried a bit too hard to create an amazing record and have further lost that spontaneity they had at the start. It's very polished, very technical, which is a great thing. But, sometimes I think that can be a hindrance. Imo, it would probably work for many other bands, but I don't think it entirely works for this band. You're right though, it is by no means a terrible record or a bad record. There are some bands that I hold in a completely different scale and light to others. YeahYeahYeahs are one of those bands. Kinda like how Zelda is held in such high regard, and that no matter what happens, the games are still usually pretty good anyway. This is still better than plenty of other stuff at the moment, but it just doesn't feel as memorable to me. Yet.
  14. Group D is pretty tasty. Germany, Australia, Ghana and Serbia. Group G is also looking quite great, too. I love it when the World Cup/European Championships roll around. Used to love coming home from school and watching a game or two every day. Robbie Savage is an arsehole. He likes to get stuck in, but he's a bit of a thug. However, I can imagine that his own fans and team-mates like him, as he seems to be a bit of a joker in the group. But, I find his tackling pretty reckless. Ramar, Gibson does look pretty great, doesn't he? He's got some great elements to his game. I do think some United fans are hyping him up a little bit too early, but he does look great at the moment. I don't know what it is about this team, but there are always players ready to step in and put in a good shift. Anderson and Gibson are barely in their 20s, yet they're commanding games in the midde of the park. I don't know what they teach them at Carrington, but their attitude to the game is excellent. Yesterday was bluddy crazy. Fletcher has played at right back before, so that didn't worry me. But, Carrick at centre-back was a new one, haha. He actually looked pretty great there, though. Saying that, he's got all of the attributes to make a good centre-half, except for maybe mobility. He's got height, great awareness, composure (his biggest attribute, imo) and is very much a team player. As long as there is someone next to him to work with him, so that he's not isolated, he'll be fine. I'm pleased with our midfield getting some more goals. In particular, Valencia. I don't think there is a single United fan out there who regrets bringing him to the club. He's looked very good, imo. He isn't known for his goal scoring, but he's got a few now, and some important ones, too. I watched the Everton-Spurs game earlier. What a cracker, an absolute belter of a second half. I predicted Howard to make the save, much to the dismay of my brother who predicted a Spurs victory. Gah, I miss Saha.
  15. I definitely think it's worth listening to the whole album. But, I know what you mean. I'm just not feeling the sound of the album. It saddens me, but I'm hoping one day it will just click. It's just so tame, and I really expected more from them. Where's the danger?!
  16. Dull life is pretty good, but I don't see the appeal with Skeletons. I think you're also underestimating Show Your Bones a tad bit, too. Mysteries is a great little choon, and that's definitely got that vintage YeahYeahYeahs vibe to it. The same with Turn Into, it's the Maps of the album, imo. But, comparing the albums (Show Your Bones and It's Blitz) song for song and then as a whole album, I much prefer Show Your Bones. True, neither are a patch on Fever to Tell, but there's some quality songs on Show Your Bones. I know you're not from the UK, so I'm not sure if you have "Deja Vu" on your album, but that song really packs some dynamite, and I probably enjoyed that one song more than the majority of It's Blitz. There's just so many quality songs though. Cheated Hearts, Phenomena, the ones I have already mentioned (Mysteries, Turn into, Deja Vu) and I also bluddy love Honeybear, although it's quite different to a lot of their stuff. I think I'm going to need some more time for It's Blitz to grow on me. At the moment, I'm just not a fan of it.
  17. That is one of quite a few things which just didn't make sense. Also, how does Skynet actually know who John's Father is? Why did they hold Kyle Reese prisoner? As far as I know, Skynet has no way of knowing who John's real father is. Remember in Terminator Two when the T-1000 steals the police car in the first 10 mins of the film. When he looks on the computer's database, it blatantly says that his Father is "unknown." So...that just doesn't make a lot of sense for me. It makes sense to the audience because we know that Kyle is John's Father, and John knows it, but it's a plot flaw as far as I'm concerned. Unless you cop out and say "ohhh, maybe it was revealed in between the time of Terminator Two/Three and Salvation." It really is an excellent film, though. I watched it after you went to bed, and I just couldn't look away. It's definitely one of my favourite films. "HEYYYY QUAID! ITS ME! BENNY! BENNY's The naaaame! :D" Hahahaha, you know, I said almost exactly the same thing not too long back. Christian Bale has a habit of making his co-stars the better actor in the film. He was completely outshone in Terminator Salvation by Sam Worthington and Anton Yelchin. I'm probably only one of few, but I honestly think that Bale makes a poor Batman and an even poorer Bruce Wayne. He also was a bit crap as John Connor, so that's two slash three of the biggest "icons" in film he's played and not lived up to, for me. Back to Total Recall, it really is something else of a film. I HAVE to watch it everytime it is on telly...I'd like to know how many times I've seen it all together. The script work for this film is gold. I'd like to have been with them in the boardroom when they wrote this. I challenge you to find a film with as many memorable one-liners. There's the obvious ones like "See you at the Party, Richter!" but there are so many brilliant ones that just leave you chuckling in your sleep. "That's Quaid!" "Where?" "The Woman! Get him....her!" Hahahah. The casting for this is a stroke of genius, imo. There's not a single character I think "uhh, they could've played him better or got somebody else to play her." Everything just seemed tailored to perfection. It's a daft film, but there's also so much genius here, too. The perfect balance of intelligence and sillyness. It gets a perfect 10 for me. Nothing I would change about this, at all.
  18. Happy Birthday, Men. I hope today has been filled with good fun and birthday sex. You could always kill two birds with one stone and do eet with each other. I hope the birthday cakes that you surely consumed were delicious.
  19. Happy Birthday, Shortbread Biscuit!

  20. Apparantly his agent says that there is some trouble over a work permit, but that he still hope it can go through. I feel so sorry for the kid, because it must have seemed like a done deal for quite some time now. I mean, I thought the deal was already sorted. United have handled this pretty badly, imo. A possibility is that United are possibly looking at bringing in someone with experience instead of paying so much money for youth again. That's a lot of money they were thinking of paying for someone his age, and also take into account the money for the likes of Anderson and Nani when they came to the club. The possibility could be that the money is being diverted into other signings. Nevertheless, I'm very shocked at all of this. As far as I knew, he was a United player.
  21. Ahh, V-Ralley 99. It was quite a nice little game but to handle it correctly you had to be oh so delicate. It was so bluddy sensitive. I used to dread coming up to a corner because I knew it would be struggle getting it right. I had the pleasure of also trying it with a steering wheel set, which was quite fun.
  22. I am so jealous of you. But then, I also have hair. So, balance is restored.
  23. There were quite a lot of aspects that I liked, but then some things just didn't seem to be done too well at all. For example, I thought they portrayed the character of Kyle Reese pretty well, and that was a huge plus for the movie. But then, when he gets taken into Skynet, I think they just thought "ok, we don't know what to do with him now, so...we'll...lock him in a room until John gets here. Yes." I would've liked to have seen more inside the actual camp. That scene when they're being transported in "the cattle car" was quite a good scene. I'd been studying the book Maus for uni not too long before seeing this film, and we also learned about how the Jews were transported in cattle cars to the camps. So, I thought that link was made quite well, given that the first few minutes of the first Terminator film talk about a Nuclear Holocaust. I liked that aspect, but they just then seemed to drop it. I was expecting some proper insight into the camps and how the prisoners were treated. What did we learn? That they line up...that is all. That's all we saw, I think. That's one of my biggest annoyances with the film. But, compared to Terminator 3, I still like it a lot more. I would also like that. If I'm right, I think the next film will almost purely be about John and Kyle's friendship. Maybe similar to Star Wars Episode 2 when so much emphasis was on Anakin and Padme. I hope I'm wrong, though.
  24. I'm still annoyed that I haven't seen all of the Chronicles. Need the doovdes. He'll probably get a lot more screen-time in the next Terminator film, I bet.
