Hahaha, whenever I see that game, I think to myself "Hehehe, A Boy and his Period." But yes, get de Blob. Actually, I think it's time we started some sort of collection fund or something, to get these lesser known games playeeed.
-
De Blob. So nice we bought eet twice, haha. I was tempted to put Zelda as my number one, but I thought given that it's primarily a Gamecube game, I should put Mario there.
-
I've got a man crush on The Djimon. I pretty much love him in every film I see him in. Also, Dazz of Dude, nice one for That Expendables trailer. Me and ViPeR are so hyped for that.

TeeDee, where's ExciteTruck and De Blob? You no like?

Some thread about 3D gaming where people argue
Fierce_LiNk replied to Caris's topic in Other Consoles
I'm not going to lie, man...I almost threw up reading that part. One thing I don't understand is where so many Wii owners yearn for the Gamecube years. Did everyone just somehow forget them? So far, I think third party releases on the Wii have been far, far better and more varied than they were on the Cube. I loved the Cube, but I'm enjoying the Wii so much more. But, in terms of generations, gamers were moaning back then, if not around the same amount as they are now. Why does it matter what Gametrailers nominate for their game of the year? It doesn't have to have a bearing on what you enjoy. The more easily satisfied than others part doesn't mean "they like what they are given", but really I think that people need to be giving some of these Wii games a chance, and not just write them off before they even play them. I get what you mean. Luckily, there's still a small cult following in the Wii boards, but sometimes it just seems a bit...disheartening to go in there. Sometimes there's a small surge when there's a new release. But, check the punchout thread for instance. About 5 posts since I initially posted when I got the game...for such a nice little game, it seems a little sad. Looking over my Wii games, I don't think I have too many which are third party multiplatform. The Wii has fallen on its face there. In terms of Third Party Exclusives, it's got a lovely selection, but the multiplatform games do seem inferior to what is put on the other systems. The trouble is that the Wii versions are too often treated as smaller versions of the "big" 360/PS3 counterparts. They should be created with the Wii in mind, and too often they are not. When developers have timescales to work with, I guess maybe it is asking a lot of them to do this. -
Aye, I know. But, for us skintbags, it would be nice. To be honest, I think I've resigned to the fact I'll be paying that price for it now. I just keep putting it off for some reason. Stupid when I know that I already like that game.

Motivation is a key factor, I think. I mean, if you were to ask someone like Redshell what games are worth playing after Animal Crossing, he could probably reel off a list. But, for some reason, these games just don't seem to captivate people (more particularly, people with multiple systems) anymore. They probably would if they were purchased and played, but when they're on the shelves, I think people just think "nah, I'll give it a miss." -
It's a game my housemate used to own, and I've played on it many a time, but I haven't got it in my collection. So, I didn't include it. If I owned it, it would definitely be in there. But, I don't. Yet. Why is it still full price everywhere?!

The thing that I love about handheld gaming is the pick up and play elements of it. The fact that you can just simply turn it on and get gaming within seconds. I love being able to just grab my DS and play something really quickly, but then can stop if I need to. Sometimes it feels a bit ritualistic when I'm playing on a home console, because I need to make sure the tv isn't being used, then get the game in, boot up, and I think a lot more time is wasted before you actually get into that "zone." When I'm around the female's place, and she's working on a project, I just grab her DS and kick arse at some Tetris or Advance Wars. Quick and easy. I agree with what Dwarf says about the price though. 30 quid for a handheld game is a bit insane considering you can buy a home console game for a bit more. But then, should we really be thinking of handheld games as scaled down home console games? Imo, we shouldn't. They should be in their own league, an alternative to home consoles. -
Seriously? She took her sister? You really need to make a book or something about all this. I'm in awe.

Haha, aww. But yes, there were many smiles. People who frown too much or have faces like smacked arses are a huge turn-off for me. Do not like. So, well done.

So, I have refrained from overplaying this whilst with Ine, because I knew I'd be coming home and would have to redo the whole lot anyway. So, tonight, seeing as the tv is free, I'm going to playing away at this. What a fantastic little game.

Nintendo 2010: A Taste Of Things To Come!
Fierce_LiNk replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
See, that's funny, because I've seen a lot of people mention it's been a quiet year for the Wii. It really is down to each person. Sometimes I look at a release list and think 5 games I want, am I going to get time to afford and play them all?! I look at that release list and think "woo, Silent Hill, Galaxy 2, Metroid, Red Steel 2, Sin and Punishment, No More Heroes and maybe Epic Micky....shit, I'm probably not going to get them all." -
I want to change my vote in the Most Positive thread. I've never seen anyone smile so much whilst being filmed on youtube. Seriously, you're one big talking smile with arms and legs. And teeth. Coolness has a rival.

I'm so very annoyed with Nintendo over this. It shouldn't be "oh, we got this, so it's ok that they get that instead of us." It should be "We've all got the motherfunking gamesssss. All of us. All the games." I hope you're enjoying it, Dazzy. Jammy bluddy bastard. :'(
-
That sounds like it would make a very funny film to see. If it were a film. But it's real life, which is much more terrifying. You should just meet this new female. See if she is as crazy as she texts. There's a good chance it will be fine, but then...Spambot has taken all of the luck that anyone will have. Ever have. If you turn up and she throws an arm around your leg and says that you should never leave her, then maybe you should blow eet off.
-
Bluddy hell, I think it's very hard to put the games I like into an order. I like them all for many different reasons, so it seems unfair to put one under another one. I love my Wii. 1: Super Mario Galaxy 2: de Blob 3: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess 4: No More Heroes 5: Super Smash Bros: Brawl 6: ExciteTruck 7: Mario Strikers Charged Football 8: Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition 9: Guitar Hero 3 (I'm addicted. I can't stop) 10: Punchout!! That whole list in interchangeable. If I play Zelda again within the next month, I'll probably put that above De Blob. Punchout will probably rise in that list. I love them all. To be honest, they're all my favourites, haha. Potential games that might creep up the list: Madworld, Dead Space: Extraction, The Conduit. Fifa 08 could be on there considering the hours I put into it...it's sickening, I just love it but I don't know why. Need: Little King's Story, A Boy and His Blob and Muramasa. And Overkill. They're the next games I need. I've played Zack and Wiki, Eledees and Wario Land at Ine's, and if I owned them myself then I think at least 2 out of the 3 would make my top 10. Great games.

Spambot, your story was sweet. I smiled. Flameh, your story screams "axe murderer" to meee. I joke. Seriously, it sounds like she has some sort of problem, where she's a bit afraid you'll just lose interest in her. So, the constant texting could be her way of her making sure you still want to meet her, and don't blow her off. She might not even realise she's over-texting. Could you possibly do some sort of photoswapping session, or webcam eet up? So that you can confirm if her initial picture was actually of her. At least then you'll know, and that's one less for you to worry about. I'd feel pretty deceived if someone did that, where they tried to pass something off as them when it really wasn't. Itsalieeeee.

Haha, I haven't heard of some of these shops either. In general, the names on the back of clothes doesn't mean a lot to me. It's a bit difficult to describe, but there are certain clothes I look at and think "ahh, they're jim clothes!" or certain stuff I look at and think "hmm, not very me." I must say that I'm not a fan of those t-shirt (like you have) with cheesy quotes or stuff on them. In fact, I die a little inside when I see people wearing them...sorry man. One thing which I do not like (although not sure if it is still a trend that appears) is where girls have small quiff-like hair-styles: I just do not like. Also, when boys/men/manchild/dudes walk down the street, with the jeans 3 miles south of their arse. Just, no. It's a horrible look, and I mean that. Euck.

I missed the game, as I was travelling back from seeing Ine, so was on the Eurostar when I found out the score. I've got the game recorded on the telly, but didn't get a chance to watch it, as I got called out for work this morning. So, I can only base my reply on highlights and the snippets that I have seen. My heart sank when I saw the team sheet that Fergie put out. 7 changes. From one of our best performances of the season against Wigan, where we scored for fun. Fair enough, there's the Carling Cup Semi against City on Wednesday, and then Birmingham on Saturday (both away games), but there was simply no need to change the majority of the squad. Exchanging Evra for Fabio is one I can live with, as that lad is a great prospect and Evra has worked his arse off all season. He's been our best defender. Vidic, who went out with an injury in the warm up with Evans coming on is another that had to be made. But, what was the thinking of playing Neville ahead of Rafael, who probably had his best performance in a United shirt against Wigan? The vintage Neville performances have been very few and far between. Imo, he should not have been played. Why oh why is Danny Welbeck constantly played out on the wing? When has he actually looked settled or effective out there? If you're going to play him, play him up top with another striker, but he isn't a bluddy winger. Again, why deviate from the team who played against Wigan? Valencia and Rafael were fantastic...The midfield was completely changed, and it was just so un-necessary. What was the point? There's always been a fierce rivalry with Leeds, and an old work friend of mine is a huuuuge Leeds fan, and he's been dying for this tie, especially for the third round. The fans were pumped, the team have been flying at the top of the league, and their eyes must have lit up like a fucking Christmas Tree when they saw the team sheet that we put out. They attacked well, controlled the midfield, defended well, and they had the luck that they needed to ensure that we didn't sneak an equaliser. I'm a huge fan of the FA Cup, and I was looking forward to this game. For the neutrals, it must have been great. But, for me, this defeat could and should have been avoided. Like I said, playing Fabio at left back is a decision I can understand. But, some of the other ones were questionable. An entire midfield changed? Also, what does it take for the team to look lively? We didn't care much about the Liverpool game, or this game, or even the Arsenal game for that matter.

Nintendo 2010: A Taste Of Things To Come!
Fierce_LiNk replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Although I only minimally enjoyed the first Red Steel, I am really looking forward to its sequel. Saying that, it doesn't seem to have that much in common with the first game. No More Heroes 2. Fuck yeaaaah. -
The name "Fleshlight" really is quite horrible. You seen Jeepers Creepers/2? It sounds like a torch made from human skin and meat.

Random Question: Ganondorf or Mace Windu?
Fierce_LiNk replied to Falcon_BlizZACK's topic in General Chit Chat
Mace was like a Hero to me, until Episode 3. Yes, getting killed by a very wooden Hayden Chrisstessenseanbean. Not only did he eventually nose dive towards the ground, but so did my love for him. Ganondorf is a badass to me. My favourite character on Melee, and despite being much, much slower on Brawl, he's still one of my characters of choice. Awesome character. Twilight Princess wasn't his best outing, but I still loved each scene with him involved. King V, why don't you just get an avatar of Jules Winnfield from Pulp Fiction? A much, much better role played by El Jackson. -
Isn't the rumour that either Curbs or Darren Ferguson will be taking charge? I wouldn't be surprised if neither come, though. I know Big Sam got a lot of stick for the way his teams played, but he got results, and he knew how to get the most out of his players. It's a shame he left, really. In my opinion, anyway. I only caught the first half of the game against Wigan, the other night. But, some of the football we played was great, particularly on the right hand side. Valencia and Rafael were great, and both managed to get goals. Here's to 2010, ladies and gentlemen. Let's hope it's a good 'un.

Lovely pictures, Tales. It snowed in Belgium last night. So, I stood outside in Ine's garden, covered in snow, watching the fireworks from all directions. Was very pretty.
