Have you got any midfielders lined up in the transfer market? I keep seeing you linked with Mata, but I don't see that happening. If you sell Nasri and Fabregas, you'll be getting 50million+ there. David Moyes could get you a whole midfield for that price. That's another thing, I feel so sorry for him. Another transfer window, and I don't think he's managed to sign a single significent player. What's he got to do to get some funds? Liverpool have spent so much this window...Everton fans must be pissed.

That's probably a good time for it. Kids will be back at school, which means you get to go around the park with very little queues. I went to Disneyland with Ine in the second week of September (when we first met), and there was hardly queuing at all.

The only cancelled/postponed Premier League game this weekend is between Spurs and Everton. All the rest will apparently be on. Unless something happens before then, I imagine. Bring it on. Football, how I have missed you.

Ah, poo drops. A theme park meet would be awesome. Those who go to this one will be very lucky.

He's a Liverpool fan, so I think you are correct, there.

A theme park mini meet or huge meet would be great. However, I really can't afford it. I'm not sure if many people can afford that either, going to the London meet and this one. Maybe in future we could have two meets. A Summer meet in London and the Winter one in a theme park, or vice versa. I don't know if theme parks are open in the Winter, or if there's an alternative. I fancy going to a theme park, but I have no monies. Sorry, Goaf.

I know. Although, Nintendo will try and claim that the Metroid Prime Trilogy counts as some sort of birthday present. Metroid is consistently awesome. Yet, there wasn't an N64 Metroid and there wasn't a true DS Metroid game. Instead, we had Hunters. I feel bad for Samus, since she is a full character with a history. She has more of a history and background than either Link or Mario.

Should Nintendo Develop for iOS Devices?
Fierce_LiNk replied to Pookiablo's topic in Nintendo Gaming
The Nintendo way is to play their games on their own platforms/devices. They're big on their hardware, as well as their software. The idea doesn't feel right to me. So, I say no. If Nintendo feel there is a market there, then maybe they'll create some hardware for that market and then go after it that way. -
Online gameplay is great. Motion controls when used effectively and at the right time are great. DLC when used effectively is great. HD graphics when used in the right way are great. However, you don't need all of these to have a great game. This article is first class horseshit. You don't need online play in something like Super Mario Galaxy. It doesn't need DLC. Why shoe-horn something into the game when it simply isn't needed. This is the problem with this current generation of gamers. The online addicts that must have online gameplay with headsets and keyboards, with multiple DLC packs and state of the art photo realistic graphics. If a game doesn't have all of these features, it's seen as "behind the times." As long as people are enjoying the game, and Nintendo are enjoying making these games, what's the problem? Galaxy was a good evolution of the Mario Series, in my opinion. It was a headfuck to play at times.

I found out yesterday that one of my close friends (a teaching assistant who works with my class) died of breast cancer. She was given three weeks to live, but she managed to hold on for just a bit longer. It's horrible. She's only 41 and has three kids, two of which I see all the time in school. The youngest is 9 years old. It hasn't really sunk in yet that she's gone. Her funeral is next Wednesday. I'm so grateful that I got a chance to see her one last time before she died.

Message to who has Provocative Donkey
Fierce_LiNk replied to ReZourceman's topic in General Chit Chat
Is this still going? Laaame. Was the fake account all there was to it? I thought there would be much more. Poor effort, guys. You should be ashamed! -
I'm up for it. I'll also take part in this.

I don't understand what you're trying to say. Unless you mean the underwear from the opposite sex and cross-dressing bishes, which are two separate ones.

I hope you're wrong. I live around the corner from the town centre and I'll be back there tomorrow... This is so disgraceful. Sooner or later, a building will get burned and there will be somebody caught inside. It's only a matter of time before somebody gets killed. Not sure if it's related or how related it is, but somebody got shot in Croydon.

They've got a few other games listed as "off" in that article, too. Bluddy Tottenham fans.

Has this all been brought up after United scoring an injury time winner against City? Nothing wrong with the amount of time given and it was clearly a fine goal. It's not like these trophies come gift wrapped for United. They work fucking hard for them. If you remember, City actually had a corner right before we booted it upfield and scored. Every team has opportunities, it's down to whether or not you take them. City well and truly wasted theirs, so I don't have sympathy for them. Having a corner and then managing to concede a goal from it in the last minute of the game is piss poor.

That Blind Venetian. I don't know which thread is more horrific now. This one or the one about the London Rioting. He was good in that Tournament, but he never turned it on in a United shirt.

Barthez being born was a mistake. The guy was a fucking catastrophe. I winced at every single game he played in. I'm not exaggerating. I used to go to bed seriously worried every night about that baguette.

I'm still in Belgium at the moment, so I've only seen bits and pieces on Belgian news reports and on the BBC website. Haven't been following it super closely. But, it looks fucking horrific. It made me sad to watch one video where the rioters destroyed somebody's business (think it might have been a salon) without a care. It's a shame that somebody has put a lot of time and effort into building something, and then somebody else just destroys that within seconds.

I watched the game against City and really enjoyed it. Thought it was a great game. It was crazy how we went 2-0 down though, really out of nowhere. My man of the match was either Tom Cleverley or Ashley Young, as both were grabbing the game by the scruff of the neck and looked really up for it. De Gea is going to make mistakes. He's a very young goalkeeper and is at the very start of his United career. He isn't going to be flawless because no player is. Schmeichel made some fuck-ups back in the day. Van Der Sar did, as well. Let's also remember how the likes of Vidic and Evra performed at the start of their United careers. They looked a lot worse than De Gea, much worse. He'll do well. I'm sure of it. Getting the winner right at the end of the game was just brilliant. Even at 2-0 down, I knew we'd get back into it. We were playing too well to just go home with nothing. Cleverley has impressed me for some time, and I hope for his sake that he gets some games this season. If he does, then I can see him bringing some energy to midfield. He is energetic but also a creative player. We need that.

I get a bit pissed when I drive to work in the morning, listening to the radio and then hearing the same set of songs on the way home. It's very lazy. It seems to be this culture of just putting whatever is in the charts into a playlist and putting that on the air. That is, of course, on the odd occasion you get music on the radio. I'm with you there, Moogle. I want music. The best radio station I've listened to in the last few years, by far and away has to be Studio Brussel. It's insane the amount of quality they put on there. You can get a big variety and it's not uncommon to hear music by Bloc Party, Moby, Oasis, The Smashing Pumpkins, The Pixies, Beach Boys, Queens of the Stone Age, Daft Punk and so on. I love all of it. Looking at the playlist on their website, there is a bigger variety there than the list I just made (I selected those bands because I like them), but I do hear a lot of music on that station, new music which I then want to then track down. I found out about Absynthe Minded and Mumford & Sons. If you can get that station, check it out.

And here is my batch of the pictures.

Getting this tax disc for my car is a pain in the bastard arse. I wanted to do it nice and early, but didn't get the letter with the reference codes that I needed through the post until a week before it was due. It came, so I popped to the post office and took the letter and a few other documents. Got there, and the man told me that there was one other thing that I needed. So, I thought "Fine, my mistake, I'll go back and get it." Did that. Got home, got my stuff, came back and got told that I needed something else. When I was there the first and second time, I was recommended to just do it online, so I went home and did it. Ordered the disc, money got taken out of my account, got the email saying it should come in the post with the receipt. I went to Belgium to see Ine and have been ringing/texting home to find out if it has come yet, and it hasn't. So annoying. They haven't got a problem with taking the money out of your account like there's no tomorrow. I checked my bank statement online and the money came out almost instantaneously. Of course, you can't reply to the email that they sent with the confirmation because it's automated. So, instead, you have to ring up their expensive helplines to sort out a problem because they haven't sent things through properly.

I'm pretty sure the new one will come out for the Wii. Is the 2011 version any good?

I can get 09 for a fiver brand new, so I'm tempted to go with that. So, between 08 and 09, 09 is better? Is there any info out on the new one?
