I looooooooove the way that the films Alien and Aliens were made. The queen in particular. So clever how they managed to make the puppet work. When growing up, I was amazed at just how real they made it appear. It still looks incredible to this day. The chestburster scene was brilliantly filmed. It was graphic, violent, bloody, yet it looked really authentic. Those two films have some brilliant use of effects.

I'm disgusted with myself for deciding not to get this on release. 2 reasons: 1. A shit ton of other games to finish. 2. No monies. I would happily piss blood for this game, though.

Mrs Robinson, you're trying to seduce me, aren't you?

Yeah, it was inevitable he would go home eventually. Still, a bit of tact from Barcelona would have been good. It was bullying, and it wasn't just from the board or the management, the players were getting involved as well. The team will surely be built around the young midfielders Ramsey and Wilshere. I'd have both at United, clearly they've got talent and will be part of your midfield for quite some time. The downside is that they haven't really got anyone of experience to learn from at the moment. I heard about that and wish the guy well. Sounds horrible. It took a lot of guts to play the game yesterday with all that going on. Hopefully it'll be sorted quickly.

I r disappoint with the lack of nekkid pics from the rest of the female population. Ine is braver than I thought!

He's not really saying that 20 million is crazy. What he is saying is that when Downing is 20million, how is Fabregas only 30million (initially)? I knew he had to go, but Barcelona have been very cheeky about that price. 30million for a footballer is good, but considering that he has one of the highest league assist totals in the last five years, (since 2006-07, it has been 71) and with about 30 goals to boot. How can they justify only giving 30/35 for him?

If we believed everything we read on that side of the screen, you are genderless. Or rather, you are a full stop.

No, that was the first half. It was in the second half. I'll try and find a clip later if I can. Our run in is tough, we've got Spurs at home, Arsenal at home, Bolton away, and Chelsea at home. (then Stoke away, which is also tough) Not really a good time to lose some of our defenders. Vidic is the one I'm worried about. We can get Smalling to cover Rio, or even Evans or Jones to cover Rio and Smalling to cover Rafael like he did against West Brom. Didn't really expect us to be using Jones this early on, but I'm sure he'll do a good job.

But his final end product was poor every time. That effort in the second half when he was about two yards away from goal springs to mind, where he kicked the ground. You'd expect the part about him being up for it, as it's the first game of the season. But, the movement and sharpness, you'd expect that from a 50million quid striker. He was the sharpest Chelsea player, yes, but the rest were quite poor yesterday.

A bit of a crappy opening weekend. I predicted Arsenal to draw, but were expecting Chelsea and Liverpool to win. Also, got the score-line for Blackburn-Wolves right, but the wrong way around. Quite an unpredictable opening weekend. I need City to destroy Swansea.

Fuck 'em to High Hell, Fish.

I recommend Joey Barton. He's the future of England... *runs* Edit: Apparantly Eboue is in talks with Galatasaray. Mass clear-out by Wenger, eh?
-
If all of them and fit and decide to turn up, then it's not too bad. I put Wilshere in my fantasy football team and the website was down so I couldn't change my selection. FUUUUUUU. It's good for Arsenal that Cesc is gone. I can't imagine how shit the whole saga must have made Wenger, the players and the fans feel. They can move on now. Can anyone tell me why BBC Sport and why the Match of the Day team were so enthusiastic about Torres yesterday? The movement was good, but the finishing was fucking terrible. How many times did he kick the ground yesterday? He's not as awful as last season, but that doesn't mean he was great.

Ya, I know. That is one bish I won't be doing. I'd rather have the man points.

I thought it was a good game. United were dominating at the start, but after West Brom made it 1-1, they really came into it. 2-1 seems like a fair scoreline, since I don't think West Brom really pushed on to win it. They looked fairly happy with the draw. De Gea just needs time and the confidence will come. He's clearly got the ability, but it seems like he's over-thinking things at the moment. He wants to impress, and you can see that in his reaction after the goal went in. If he keeps his chin up and works hard in training, he'll be fine. I thought Tom Cleverley looked good again today, looked very determined and provided a good spark in midfield. There was some great movement with the front four of Young, Nani, Rooney and Wellbeck, with Young and Nani providing some good width. The downside of today was the injuries to Vidic and Ferdinand. Ferdinand will be out for six weeks, and Rafael is going to be out as well. Evra should hopefully be fine soon, but it means we can't really afford to pick up any other injuries. The backline that finished the game were De Gea, Jones, Smalling, Evans, Fabio. That's very young.

Steven Taylor is such a cock.

HAhahahahahaha. "you looked like De Niro from Taxi Driver..and behaved like him too." From Piers Morgan. "he slapped me in the face, sending off or not? Seem to remember u and Dion Dublin, Sav?" - From Barton. Robbie Savage preaching about sending offs...who'd have thought it.

Post it in here, dude. I wanna read the comments. I did watch the Newcastle-Arsenal game. It was alright, but a draw seemed like a fair result. Don't think either team seemed like they wanted to win it.

I liked this thread more when it was about riots. So...it didn't hit Bournemouth. Hurrah. *internet high-five for Serebii and 'Dohnut*

That may be so, but the advancements would have to be unthinkable if we're thinking of living for a hundred years (maybe more) more than we currently live for. Let's look at the facts. A human hasn't set foot on a planet other than our own. A man hasn't even walked on the Moon since 1972. President Obama wants to put a man on Mars within the next 20 years from now. So, that gets us as far as Mars. So, it will possibly have taken us from 1972 to the 2030s to get from walking on the Moon to walking on Mars/taking missions there. But, how long will it take to walk onto a world with other life? Given that we don't actually know where this life is (for certain), it seems we won't be doing that for quite some time. I'm fairly certain that in our lifetime we'll be walking on a planet other than ours. But, I don't think we'll be walking on another inhabited world. We might be able to add another 20 or so years onto our lifetime, but that won't be enough. I don't think even my grandchildren will see this either. My opinion. Just to clarify, the bold part was about Hamishmash's part about an Alien World, when I questioned what an Alien World really is. The rest of the post (unbolded) is about visiting another inhabited world.

Old Final Fantasy, yes. If this were New Final Fantasy, we'd be calling 3D Land Super Mario Bros 3-2.
-
Heh, I knew that. But, I mean a proper Super Mario Bros 4. It would be Mario Bros 5 to Japan. Unless they had one?
-
That wasn't too bad. I liked it because of the simplicity of it. A New Super Mario Bros. game. They did ruin it by calling the Wii Version New Super Mario Bros. Wii. I would loooove a game with the title Super Mario Bros 4. That would be lovely.
-
I agree with what you're saying. It was over the top, but I was just pointing out that he wasn't referring to everyone as that, just those involved. I don't think I've seen the joke. What page was it on?

I want to visit Stonehenge at some point. You're right about the funding being low, but also we just don't have the technology. I'm sure we'll put a man on Mars at some point in the future, within the next 20 years, for certain. But, it's pretty much guaranteed that we'd need to go much further than that to find life. I can't see us getting anywhere near outside of our solar system in our lifetime. Or even two lifetimes. There's always the slim possibility of life being found on one of Jupiter's Moons, but it's more likely we'd have to go outside of our solar system to find it. He is, yeah. But, I'd still class somewhere like Mars as an Alien world. I think we looked at something like that together, yes? We'd have to discount those at the moment because we can only go off what we know. If it's proven tomorrow than I can live for a hundred years longer than I currently can, then fuck yeeeah.
