  1. You shouldn't get hyped. This isn't near. It's still 6 weeks away. ...
  2. Very sad news, this is. Clearly the guy was intelligent and passionate about his work. It's terrible that he died in the manner that he did. RIP
  3. Telemarketing is pretty good for meeting new people. From my experience, the turnover is high, so you're meeting new people all the time. It's great. The downside is that it can be mentally draining. I used to find myself being shattered towards the last few hours when I did it.
  4. I'm shocked by my result...4-0! Away from home. Delighted. You should've seen my face when I checked the result at work. I almost bottled it yesterday and thought about playing an aggressive defensive game. In the end, I thought I may as well go and have a go. After a run of 3 away games without defeat, I've got a home game next. Hope I can get something from that. DRAGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
  5. Shit...15 quid? Pretty fucking tempting.
  6. Yeah, he can't wait for the next Pokemon game or to score with a lady. As for clothes, I think I've got decent taste. I seem to get compliments when wearing stuff in work, but also whenever I wear my out of work stuff, like my Gremlins t-shirts or Animal stuff. Seems to go with the personality and what I like. I dislike stores where you'd pay something ridiculous like £80 for a plain white shirt, or something. My housemate has a looot of shirts that fit into that category. Or a Paul Smith polo shirt that costs 15 times the price of an identical style shirt, because of the label. I don't go for that. I'd rather get something with a nice colour or image that fits with me. At the moment, I'm digging purple stuff. Got a lovely purple shirt I wear to work. Also, Dresses (as Ine mentioned earlier) are loooovely. Always makes me smile when I see girls wear dresses. Its a very feminine thing to do. Love it.

  9. Cheers, Mcoy. I put down a bid for another player yesterday and got outbid. Gutted, as he looked pretty awesome. But, I am poor, so why would he come to Dragooooo? Nevertheless, I'm back in the transfer market and determined to build a world beating squad. DRAGOOOOO!

  11. Screw you, Benny. Next time, I'm going for the win. Dragoooooooooooooooooo!
  12. Is it likely that somebody will try and outbid me in the last moments? Ebay style.
  13. Had a good week. Took my class to a football tournament against some other schools who were much, much better than us. We got hammered 4-0 and 5-0 in two of the games, but I spotted that one of the other teams wasn't that great and we could maybe get something from that one. So, we put out our strongest team, gave them some excellent xpert11 style tactics, and left the rest to them. We were amazing that game. It was beautiful to watch. Defended so well, despite the team having never played football together before that day. We had a penalty and I watched as our best player hit the bar. Totally thumped it and I thought the bar had snapped in half. I thought "shit, that was our best chance." Then, in a beautiful moment a few minutes later, the kid who was playing striker (in my class, only 7 years old) had the ball at the edge of their box, took it inside and fired a beauty into the bottom corner. I went crazy, haha. We defended like crazy, never seen 7 year olds defend so bravely. Full time whistle had gone, we had won and the team ran up to me and another class teacher and we all had a massive group hug. It was like winning a cup final. Didn't even give a shit that we lost our last game 6-0. Had football club yesterday, as well. After school. Same kid scored twice, once when I was on his team, once when he was against me. Watch this space.

  17. I've had a sore left wrist since Saturday morning, so I've eased off the upper body weights for a few days. Did some leg work on Sunday and still feeling it now. Can barely walk really. I played football yesterday for an hour...no idea how I managed that given my legs were knackered. Also, got a compliment from a guy at work, who said that if he had my legs, he would wear shorts more often. Was very surprised by that, because I thought my legs were pretty small really.
  18. Fuuuck. I was expecting to get badly beaten. I'm delighted with a 2-2 draw, especially considering I was behind twice and that we finished the game with 10-men. Not bad. Two away draws against Jay and DuD and a home defeat to Cubic County (they scored twice in injury time.) Happy with that so far. Question about transfers: I've put some bids in for players. What happens now? Apparently the deadline is midnight, so will I get these players if nobody else makes a bid? Also, I put some players up for transfer like Odwin said. Will I actually get anything for these guys, or is it better to sack them and just buy some new ones?
  19. Happy Birthday, you Zechsmachine. Happy Birthday, Platty. Nemanja Vidic says: "I told you I could header the ball!"
  20. He's reached his quota for the year now.
  21. I actually forgot about the linesman there. Yeah, he was/should have been in a much better position to make that call. I wonder if this will "be solved" by putting more officials behind the goal. They definitely wouldn't have missed it The only suggestion I can put forward is that maybe the linesman/ref/both thought that the ball hit the very upper chest of VdV.
  22. The recession has hit Wales pretty hard. Newport Town Centre is dead. There were huge plans for redevelopment, but due to budget cuts, we've ended up with something which is only 1/10th of what was originally envisaged. The actual shopping centre has about half a dozen shops, one of which is a two storey Wilkinsons and two of which are pound stores. It's an abomination. There was all this talk of the place being a haven for people visiting because of the Ryder Cup, when in reality they all hopped on the bus to Cardiff. Getting a teaching job there is impossible. I've met supply teachers working in Wales who have been supplying for the past 5 years, because they couldn't find a job. So, it was hard to begin with, but impossible once the recession hit. Very, very happy that I got out of there, because I imagine I would still be applying for jobs right now.
  23. The goal is a tough one to call. Don't think the referee could spot that one since VdV has his back to him. It was a pretty good finish though, but awful defending. In fact, all three goals were great finishes by the attacking team, but terrible, terrible defending by the other. I did think that Song looked pretty decent at centre-back, keeping Adebayor at bay for most of the game. Thought Coquelin also had a very decent game, and was unlucky to be on the losing side. Scott Parker must be knackered after that. He was everywhere.
  24. Last season we were pretty crap away from home against everyone. Hope we do better this time around. Will be our toughest challenge yet, I think. I'd be happy with a draw.
  25. Last season? Typical Liverpool fan, always talking of the past. Match of the Day sooon. I want to see this Wolves disallowed goal.
