  1. It's a PR disaster that makes the company look like it is being run by clowns. Some of the ideas that they had were such obviously shit ideas that I'm surprised they got given the go ahead, including the crappy way in which it was handled. Terrible which ever way you look at it. Yes, it's good that the console is now stripped of those features, but they should never have been there in the first place. We have just witnessed a historical moment in video-gaming history during these last few weeks/months.
  2. I knew you'd come around in the end. On paper and in theory, this game should be total shit. But, for some unknown reason, it just seems to work. I haven't got it, but @Eenuh has, and she hasn't put it down since she got it. Game looks awesome from what I've seen so far.
  3. Take care, people. We're all gonna make it. I'm listening to the Man of Steel soundtrack and it's giving me hope for all of you.
  4. Well done, you deserved the win. Almost at the half way point of the season. I'm worried about Graciano Velho not making as much progress DV-wise as he could, because of his injury earlier in the season. It put him out for 4 games. We'll be lucky to win another game this season. :p
  5. You're forgiven. I watched Batman: The Animated Series religiously when I was a kid. I still watch it now. I've never watched Superman: The Animated Series. Will start watching it now. Somebody has uploaded the
  6. I've looked at that link and it seemed to suggest that I wasn't eligible for a loan in many of the places, and in the places where I could take one out, it was with high monthly payments/high apr. I'll look at this some more tomorrow and see what I can do.
  7. I liked that. It made the film feel a bit more visceral.
  8. I'm temptedings to see this a second time. Genuinely surprised that @Retro_Link prefers the second half of the film to the first. The first half/2 thirds is spectacular. Not gonna lie brahs, there were one or two tears shed. *wishes Kevin Costner was his dad, hu hu hu*
  9. Is nobody watching this? Second episode was just as gripping as the first. I really wish there was the boxset with subtitles available. A week is too long to wait. Creepy boy is creepy.
  10. How many roleblockers are we expecting to have in this game? There was somebody who role-blocked me on the previous night, which was one of the five that Animal mentioned and who wasn't ReZ. So, that's surely two already? One more vote for Tales kills him. I'll do it. Vote: Tales
  11. Yeah, it's worth having a look. I'm quite keen on that particular option with the dealership as this will be my first Kia. I've pretty much only had Fords all of my life and have had shitty luck with all of them. (Drove a Vauxhall Corsa for a bit, which was fine) As I know little about Kia, it's handy to know that if after 3 years (or sooner) I'm just not feeling it, I move it on with little hassle. I'm hoping it all goes well. I love what I saw of it and test drove. Brakes are a lot more sensitive than the Fiesta I've currently got and it will take some getting used to, but I've got a good feeling about it. If anything, it's just nice to know that I probably won't have to deal with some of the shit and problems I've had this year or the past few years with cars.
  12. Has he not handed in a transfer request then? I thought he would have done it by now. I wonder what's happening with Rooney. That's a strange one. It's almost gone completely dead. My reaction to that situation is "meh," now. If players want to go, then go.
  13. Hmm, I'll look into it and see what my options are. The finance deal seems appealing because you have the car for 3 years and can decide what you want to do at the end of it. So, you can trade it in for another one if you want. It's interesting. It's looking good and I hopefully should be picking this up at the weekend. Will have a more definite answer on this tomorrow. Goodbye, Ford! Never again.
  14. I've not really been paying attention for this day (back at work, looking at car stuff, tiredness), so I'll just post my thoughts in bullet points: - I targeted The Peeps, found out he's getting parts for a flying machine. - My initial instinct is that he has a separate win condition. My PM specifically mentions that he needs parts from other court members to "reach his goal". Sounds suspicious as fuck to me. - Not sure what's going on with ReZ or Tales being mafia. I put the vote on ReZ in the previous day, but I'm confused why we're now going for Tales and not ReZ, from what Rummy said yesterday. - I don't mind putting a vote on Tales, but I feel slightly uncomfortable putting it on as it'll be the deciding vote. I'll do it if we're certain he is mafia scum. - What's the deal on ReZ? We saying he's mafia now or not?
  15. I've had a really busy day. I visited two dealerships and got to test drive a Kia Picanto and a Citroen C1. Both were nice cars to drive, although I've fallen in love with the Picanto. The brakes will take a bit of getting used to and it's different compared to what I've previously driven, but it seems like a lovely car. So, after considering most of the information about the ones I've looked at, and after looking at all of the different financing options and insurance quotes, etc, I've decided that I'll be getting the Picanto. Excited. My Fiesta has been nothing but trouble all fucking year and I need something that is reliable and something that will be by my side for the next few years/long term. I spent the afternoon with some friends and they cooked us a lovely fish curry that was marinated in masala sauce. Yummy as hell, with some carrot cake as a dessert. We spent the evening watching Man of Steel in the cinema, which we all seemed to like a lot. I loved it. I seem to be over this sickness now. My stomach gave me some trouble during the night and I was up at 4:30. But, for the most part, it's manageable and is causing me little problem now. About time... We're all gonna make it!
  16. You are so wrong. It has only in recent editions started to become this way. The original was a kart racing game. About driving. So was the N64 version, and that had a big emphasis on multiplayer. A fair multiplayer. Same goes for GC and probably DS. The Wii version is where it became ridiculous. It doesn't matter if you were a shit driver at times because, like you say, it was about luck. In previous editions, skill would prevail. In Wii, you could have tons of skill, yet one fucking bullet bill would undo all of that. It was unfair. It's an unfair game, and for that reason (coupled with bad track design) I hate it. First and foremost, it should be about driving/kart racing. Yes, the weapons should have some kind of impact, but they shouldn't over-dominate the racing, which is what has happened. Racing should always come first. This is why 8 appeals to me, it looks like it has remembered where it came from.
  17. I've just got back and put the kettle on from having seen this film. I breathed a massive fucking sigh of relief, it is not a 55% film. It's brilliant and I loved it. It's not perfect by any means and there are one or two things that I think prevent it from being so, but there are also some truly exceptional moments.
  18. I can't tell whether or not the sky in the WiiU version looks beautiful or pisses me off. I'm going blind looking at it. It's too bright, too much bloom. It dominates just a bit too much. But, I can't tell if that's also the recorded footage and it'll look better in person.
  19. It doesn't really work as a pun, though. In my opinion, anyway. One and ON don't sound similar enough. Connect and Kinect, do. It looks similar (I guess) written down, but verbally I wouldn't put it down as a pun. I took it as them meaning they wanted to be the number one. As in, the number one gadget in the house, in control of everything, including the TV. Either that, or they're restarting their brand and the next console will be the XBOX Two. Maybe.
  20. You cheeky kent. I went 4-4-2, too, brah. A bit disappointed we didn't get anything, but we didn't play amazingly well. 4-4-2 doesn't suit DRAGOOOOO. On the plus side, I played my youth keeper today and have got him to 12 DV, so far. This has probably been my best season in terms of managing the youth and getting everyone game time.
  21. My target was The Peeps. I found out about something to do with him and flying machines. What's that all about, @The Peeps?
  22. Happy Birthday, HERROOOOO.
  23. Thinking of all this Kinect stuff, wouldn't a better name for the system be Xbox ON?
  24. I agree with you on wine. The stuff tastes disgusting. Tea: You mention fruity tea. From my experience, any tea that I've ever had outside of the UK has been baaaad. They don't seem to do PG Tips, or Tetley abroad. Tea bag, milk, sweetener. Do it the proper way, or don't bother at all, dude. As for concerts, I do understand what you mean, but I disagree. I think I've found that I prefer concerts where they're part of a festival, so you can move around between and go and experience other things. Pukkelpop in Belgium was brilliant when I went there and is my favourite musical experience so far, along with seeing the Manic Street Preachers in Cardiff. To enjoy it more, you need some sort of "connection" with either that band or the place you're seeing it. Seeing the Manics was almost spiritual, as they were the band I grew up with and I saw them in Cardiff, the heart of Wales. That experience will never ever be replicated. Seeing Mumford & Sons in the Marquee tent was brilliant. I much preferred the Marquee compared to the main stage. It's where you get the hardcore fans, all under one tent. I saw Jonsi and the Flaming Lips there too and they were both magnificent. So, that's what I think. Festivals > Individual Concerts, and usually Tent/Marquee/special stages > main stages. Beans on toast is Godly. Your picture is a very pool example. Add scrambled eggs to the mixture and you are on a high. What I don't understand: Smokers I don't see the appeal, especially with the drawbacks. It stinks, it's expensive, it's unattractive, the health risks, everything. A friend once got me to try a cigarette or two and I felt nothing. I don't understand how people can get addicted to it, because it's so bluddy boring and such a non-event in the first place. I am immediately put off by a girl who smokes. Packs in the Gym People who go to the gym in groups of 3 or 4, who spend an hour bench pressing, rendering it off bounds to others who want to use it. They follow this procedure. - Person 1 benches with low intensity for a few reps - They stop, and talk for 5 mins. - Person 2 gets under the bar. Spends 5 minutes under there talking before he even thinks about lifting. - They stop, and talk. - Person 3 does the same as person 2. - Person 4 gets in on the act. - Rinse and repeat for a full fucking hour. Also, the people that don't actually lift weights, they just occupy a bench and stare at others for the entire duration of them being there. Why bother going? It's going to take longer with the more people you take and you can just be sociable at home or at a pub. It slows down everybody else's workout, especially as equipment is limited. People who don't look after themselves This covers a lot of people. People who don't watch what they eat, don't exercise, don't do anything stimulating, you name it. We have a woman at work who is extremely obese, dangerously so. She cried last year when she saw how fat she was. I offered to help her out with losing weight. But, alas, the lack of willpower on her part meant she went back to stuffing her face and doing sod all. She has a chocolate tin at work... If you saw that you were huuuuge, wouldn't you at least try to do something about it? There are some exceptions, but the fast majority of people who get into this state have done so because they haven't exercised enough, they have a poor diet and lifestyle and they have terrible willpower. I just can't understand that mindset.
